So It Goes by Jennifer Probst is book two in the Twist of Faith series. We were first introduced to Malia Evergreen in Meant to Be, and she is one of the four women who created Quench.

Palmer Matterson owns Endless Vows, a wedding planning company, and a few other side businesses. Malia has been working with Palmer, the arrogant, egotistical man who tries Malia's last nerve, so things get heated when she announces that she will no longer be his contact person for his account.

I'm a freakin fan girl over Jennifer Probst's work. I've read almost everything she has written, so finding other characters from different pieces weaved into this story was a pleasure. Congratulations to Jennifer Probst on the achievement of penning fifty books!

This is the second book in the series. I read the first and really liked it. I didn't like this one quite as much. So It Goes is an enemies to lovers romance and a fake relationship trope. It was also a story of the main characters in business situations together.

I think there may have been a little too much of the business meetings and business talk for me. I just wanted to skip all that. I realize they were both professionals and Malia really didn't like Palmer and he was giving off the vibe that he didn't like her either. The business personas of the characters were so rigid and that carried over too far into their personalities in their personal relationships. I really wanted them to loosen up! They ended up pretending to be in a relationship to keep their families from trying to find them a date. Once those walls finally starting coming down for Malia, the story got going and more enjoyable. She sure gave Palmer a run for his money!

I've loved Mrs. Probst books since she released The Marriage Bargain. Her stories never disappoint me. They're just brilliant. So It Goes is the second book of the series Twist of Fate. I highly recommend it.

This is the second book in Jennifer Probst’s Twist of Fate series and it was an enjoyable read.
What’s a girl to do when she needs a date for a wedding and she has told everyone that she is already seeing someone? That’s the predicament that Malia Evergreen has and now she has to figure out how to get out of the hole she has dug for herself. Desperate she turns to an ex client Palmer Matterson to be her fake date and much to her surprise, he agrees. It seems he has an interfering family and this will help him too.
What Malia doesn't know is that Palmer is attracted to her and has wanted her for a long time. Could this arrogant businessman be the one to bring light into her lonely life? As they get to know one another, Malia realizes that there is more to him than he has let on. Can a relationship that starts out as fake become real?
Although not my favourite book from Ms. Probst it was an entertaining story and I liked both Malia and Palmer.

Malia wants marriage and children as an advertising rep of her and her best friends magazine, rarely has extra time to date. All the men she has dated has disappointed her. Malia has decided to have some of her eggs frozen in case she doesn’t find her soulmate and she can still have kids.
Palmer owns a wedding planning business and has worked with Malia for a year. He has been very vocal about not marrying or having kids. Malia has been his rep for his ads in their magazine. She is moving to the charity side of the magazine and won’t be in the advertising anymore. Palmer has been butt head but now that he won’t be seeing her as much, he tells her how he feels and asks her out. She turns him down but they are both in a pickle. Both need dates for weddings so their family will leave them alone. Can Palmer convince Malia to give them a chance?

Ok I am not a fan of Malia. She keeps pushing away Palmer and then pull him right back to her. I thought she has hateful and mean to Palmer. I felt like slapping her. This is sort of enemies to lovers genre. Plenty of sexual tension. Nosy family.

I have read several books from this author, and I have enjoyed them all. I enjoyed this one as much as the others.

There are two sides to Palmer Matterson. The hard nosed businessman who comes across as rude and condescending and the sweet family man who would do anything for his sisters. Unfortunately he has been showing Malia the wrong side. So when the two embark on a few fake dates to keep the meddling families at bay which side will he bring to the table? And will it be enough to keep Malia coming back for more and derailing her future plans? With an adorable storyline and characters the reader will want to hug this was a great read.

In what you would expect from Jennifer Probst, an enjoyable, feel good, fast easy read! These books are always great to read in between the murder and mayhem I typically read.

✨Firstly, do men like Palmer exist because sign me up! What a dream he’d be…… but I’m wondering what his downfalls are because he must have at least one🤔.

✨For a while I didn’t like Palmers approach and found him incredibly pushy and it was starting to border on creepy behaviour but once he asked Malia how she felt about it I totally changed my mind!

✨This is one of the few books where all the characters are incredibly likeable and you couldn’t help but love them! Especially Palmer and Malia! I also loved Tessa and hope she finds her person in the next book🤞🏽.

✨Overall this is a super cute, easy, light read and I really enjoyed it buuuuut it didn’t keep me hooked and it was easy to put down and come back to which is why I’ve rated 3 stars, and not 4.

The story
Malia looks after ad sales at Quench, a women’s lifestyle media business. She’s looking forward to letting her most difficult client Palmer know that she is moving across to their foundation. Secretly the chemistry is there for both of them, but Malia needs to focus on her fertility journey and now is not the time to get involved with someone who doesn’t want a family one day.

My thoughts
This is the second book in this series, but it works well to read as a standalone. There is a lot of tension between Palmer and Malia, and he is a strong character, used to getting his own (billionaire) way. I think Malia needs someone that is willing to keep showing up for her, even when the going gets tough. I enjoyed the dual POV, and I especially like the male main character that shows his understanding of women, bakes cakes in his spare time and loves books 😉

Double fake dating! Malia has been unlucky in love so she's forging ahead on her own to create her family but she also needs a date for a wedding, Palmer, the man she chooses, also needs a date of his own. They manage to put on a good show for their friends and families because, well, they've fallen for each other. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. There won't be any surprises here for fans of the genre but it's a good read.

This was a fun read. There was so much sexual chemistry. I really enjoyed Malia & Palmer’s story. I’m looking forward to Tessa. Can’t wait.

3 1/2 Stars for these enemies to lovers

I normally really enjoy Ms. Probst's books, but this one missed the mark for me. I could not get into these characters. Even though Malia wanted to get married and have kids, she was a workaholic and didn't date. And Palmer didn't want a wife and kids and yet he pursued Malia knowing that is what she wanted. The story was sweet and cute, but I just found it was very predictable. When I look at a cover on a book, that is how I picture the characters. First off, in the book they are two business professionals that wear business attire and on the cover they are very casual. Secondly and most importantly, it states in the book that Palmer has grey hair and is clean shaven ... far from the guy on the cover.

Malia is in charge of the advertising for Palmer's company and when she decides to take another position, Palmer realizes he has to make his move before he misses his chance with Malia altogether. They both need fake dates for weddings, so they decide to trade dates to keep their respective families off their backs. But we all know about that fine line between love and hate.

Loved, loved, LOVED Malia and Palmers story. Tough situations were addressed and handled with finesse and my heart broke at the same time theirs were breaking just to be put back together again when they finally realized they were both what the other needed. I hope the others in this story get their HEA's as well.

This is the second book in the Twist of Fate series that can be read as a standalone. Even though there are characters from the first book I think they are explained enough that you wouldn't feel lost if you haven't read the first one. Malia is the account exec for Palmer's wedding consultant company of Endless Vows. They seem to have a contentious relationship in the meetings and she's very happy to put that behind her and begin working with Quench's new non-profit venture. Palmer is taken aback when he finds out that she's leaving his account with someone else. He figures out that he waiting too long and took the wrong approach with Malia. He wants to pursue a personal relationship with her but she's not going to fall for a smooth talker again. She's in the process of freezing her eggs so she doesn't have to wait for the special someone to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother. Palmer seems to be too good to be true when he listens to her, has empathy for her situation. She doesn't want to pursue a personal relationship with him. But he shows up at the new non-profit that Malia is working with and decides to invest in it since his sister also is involved in that non-profit. As fate would have it, they both need each other to be a date for a wedding in the families and try to pull off that they do have a new relationship. Will Malia let down her walls and will Palmer be able to get past thinking that he really isn't against marriage? I thought this was a great book in this series. I'm looking forward to Tessa's book. I received an early copy from Netgalley and I'm leaving my honest review.

I love this author, and this is a pretty good series. I personally liked this couple, especially Palmer, and the fact he was a good wedding planner in a female dominated profession. Malia was a strong character, knows what she wants, but I didn't care for her constantly turning Palmer down, her reasons were somewhat valid, but it got rather irritating after awhile. Really like the Quench gals, Palmers staff and both families, really made the story come together. Can't wait to read Tessa's story!

There are multiple components of this story that I really liked. Palmer is awesome in so many ways: sweet and accepting, open and loving. I absolutely loved how he treated Malia after his initial "pigtail pulling" episodes. (Basically, he really liked her but was mean to her initially because he didn't want to come on too strong- yes, very juvenile, especially for a 40 year old man but it was amusing). Malia is a strong female character in that she's successful, confident at work and someone who knows what she wants. I found their interactions amusing and sweet and I rooted for them to get their HEA

The part I wasn't too keen about is that the romance was so slow. Malia didn't want to get in deep with Palmer because she was afraid of getting hurt. Also, Palmer's juvenile beliefs about love and expectations also carried all the way to basically the end of the book, which was a bit frustrating. I wish that they could have resolved their issues a little earlier so that we could have seen them grow more as characters and individuals. Overall, though, a good read. Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for an early read!

This was a lighthearted, easy to read book. Malia is focused on her career and from the start, Palmer and her have had a antagonist relationship. Palmer has liked Malia from the start but also likes to rile her up. This was an enemies to lovers, but also a fake relationship. Both Malia and Palmer’s families continue to try to set them up on dates, so when each of their families insist on them bringing a guest to a family wedding they decide to do each other a favor. This was an enjoyable story.

Malia can’t wait to tell her arrogant (Hot) client that she will no longer be looking after his account. Things don’t go as she expects when he asks her out. She doesn’t believe Palmer when he tells her he likes her and it takes a lot of persuasion for her to go out with him. They both have a strong work ethic and similar families and actually have a good time together, but Malia has plans and they don’t include wasting time on a man who doesn’t want the same things she does. Palmer originally comes across as bossy and controlling, but he is also sweet, loyal and loving. Malia seems strong, intelligent and knows what she wants, but she isn’t as confident as she seems. They have their misunderstandings and they both need to work out what they really want, but they get their HEA. This was an enjoyable read and hope the Tessa gets a HEA soon.

I absolutely adore Palmer Matterson!! What woman wouldn’t want him to lust after her with every ounce of his being? Malia is crazy to ignore his advances and I often wondered what she was trying to prove? Did she want to find her one true love on her own, without anyone’s interference? She was already on good terms with Palmer, as they had been business associates for over a year. Malia could attest to his honesty, brilliant business acumen and to his successful wedding planning empire. Palmer was offering himself to her, bearing his soul and the deep feelings he had for her, but she quietly declined his dinner invitation. Malia is lucky that Palmer was determined to win her heart, because she would have missed out on his swoon worthy and romantic affirmations of love.

Malia needed a fake boyfriend for her sister's wedding and Palmer was in need of a fake date for his cousin's wedding. Was this a match made in heaven or a one way ticket to heartbreak? Palmer wants Malia in any way he can have her and just being friends could lead to more, and that was what he was counting on. They actually did have a lot in common; meddling family members, their careers came first and love had eluded them until now. Palmer knows that Malia wants him and her refusal to admit her feelings only intensified his desire. He needed a grand gesture to convince Malia that their love was meant to be.
