I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Your Life In Bloom was a book that drew me to it by the cover and I'm so glad I took a chance and gave it a read. As I read through this book I felt like I had had time with a close friend. This book made me feel relaxed and soothed from start to finish. Each chapter is short and sweet and I loved how the author connected nature within this book. This book helps guide you to ways you can approach life in different ways and control things such as anxiety and stress and even introducing forms of mindfulness within these ways. This is a short but helpful self-help book that is definitely worth a read!

I love this book. Fact. The language is accessible, easy to read and understand. I think this is really important when reading at a difficult time, when your head can’t cope with heavy jargon. This book has little snapshots of positivity, reminders, uplifting messages, all when you need them most. They are a reminder that, even in your darkest days, you’re not alone. They vary in length, but are never too long or too heavy to manage, even on your worst days. You can read in order, or delve in at random - either way, you’re going to read something helpful that speaks to you. These gentle, loving messages are peppered with beautiful illustrations throughout. Would highly recommend.

Thank you to BooksGoSocial and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review

This book is great. I loved the insight it taught me. It gives me motivation to do more, to flourish. Every educator and therapist would benefit from it.

This is such a wonderful and beautiful book. The chapters don't necessarily need to be read in order. Enjoyed going back and forth.

Each chapter helped me get through the isolation I was in due to the dreaded virus. My little garden and books were the only thing that kept me going through this phase.

Looking forward to buy the physical book and it's definitely going to make a great gift during this year's festivities.

Thank you Netgalley and Booksgosocial for the ARC

I was excited to read Lucy Fuggle's self-help book, and the title immediately drew me in. It takes a lot to walk the thin line of self-help books successfully, as so many are currently saturating the literary market. In an age where so many people struggle with their mental health, Fuggle's book is an enticing read, perfectly intertwining ideals of self care and nature and making these ideas accessible.

Whilst in places Your Life in Bloom does succeed, there are parts where the book becomes monotonous and another regurgitation of the same facts as every other self-help book on the shelves.

When reading a self-help book, I want to see a unique experience and understanding of the world; an alternative way to help people. That is, to an extent what makes this book an attractive read. It is loaded with rich imagery of nature and mythical beings such as the phoenix, images which - when standing independently - are powerful affirmations that touch the core and warm the soul. One particularly touching example is in 'Every time you reach a new low, you have a phoenix moment.' Rising from the ashes of despair is a beautiful and moving image, and I know so many people who I could press this book into the palms of. It is a book that many will be queuing to buy, and one that I know I will extract quotes from and share with people I love. Your Life in Bloom is above all else, a book that can genuinely help nurture the soul and bring life to the struggling mind.

The issue for me personally was that it became far too repetitive.

Each chapter follows the same very short, perhaps even too short, formula. A couple of paragraphs and then quick one-liners to round off the point. In some respects, this is like reading a TED Talk, but Fuggle passes making a point in her repetitiveness and instead progresses to a stage where this reinforcement becomes irritating. After the first half, the images are repeated, the phrases are slightly tweaked before being uttered again, and the significance of each word, each line, unfortunately loses its meaning. I didn't feel I was learning anything new in the second half of the book that hadn't already been said, which is a real shame.

Fuggle's book will be a great success, and her perspective on nature as a great healing power is timely and increasingly relevant in our Post-Covid society. The book isn't heavily loaded with facts but laced with empathy and understanding. Overall, although a little long-winded, Your Life win Bloom WILL help people find comfort in nature, and with some truly stunning quotes, how could anyone resist?

I'm so glad that I spontaneously chose to request this book despite being a self-help hater for years, it also helped that this book continuously didn't tell me I am living my life in a wrong way. Something about the book felt nice, maybe it's the title or the cover, the connection with nature that compelled me to read the book. I'm so glad that I did. The narration didn't feel intimidating rather it was like talking with a friend after having a bad day. The words were so soothing and gentle. They didn't make me feel pressured to do anything right NOW., Only reminded that I have a choice, the power to take hold of my life whenever I want to. The interrelation between nature and human life is beautifully portrayed and the illustrations are gem. At the moment I'm going through a shitty situation and hearing about her own experiences and relating them to mine helped me more than I hoped. Recommended!

🌸 I’m a plant lover and thought this book cover was gorgeous. The full-page illustrations inside are just as beautiful.

🌸 I loved this part of the description "You have no way of knowing how you will find roots in places you never expected, grow buds from nothing and thrive like you never thought possible” because I have noticed that oftentimes out of something painful or ugly in life, you are resurrected into a beautiful, new and unexpected beginning.

🌸 I will continue to reference this book when I faulter from center as a dose of encouragement....reminders to keep looking at things in a positive way, sometimes the simplest things are the answer and the best advice....books can help with everything. What bookworm doesn’t love that advice?

🌸 You can skip around in the book to a chapter that suits your mood at the time for a dose of inspiration!

🌸 I found this little book brought me a feeling of peace and comfort as I read it. It reminded me to take a deep breath in our busy world. The author's write in gentle & kind way, like she's giving you a big hug. I also love that she writes about the importance of mental health.

🌸 If you are a nature lover and/or enjoy inspirational reads, then I highly recommend this one! You will thoroughly enjoy.

🌸 If you buy the book, you can visit Lucy Fuggle’s website https://www.livewildly.co/ for a big dose of encouragement.

I recently read the author’s memoir-type book Mountain Song and was instantly a fan of her writing style, so I was very curious to read another of her books when I saw it available as a NetGalley eARC. Her writing is simple yet illustrative and flows well, making this book a relaxing read similar to her other book.

Each chapter is short, perfect for reading only a few at a time and pondering on them or putting some of the author’s advice into practice each day. I appreciated this and how the book wasn’t too long. I personally was in the mood to spend a day reading, so I read the book in one sitting. Sometimes self-help or personal growth type books can contain so much information that it’s hard to do anything productive with it. Having less to ponder on and apply to one’s life is a lot simpler and in the end will likely produce more depth than a ton of information.

I have to disclose that I a different belief system that the author seems to hold, so I of course don’t agree with everything she shares as “truth” (just one example is when she says “you are the only one who can save you.” As a Christian believer I know it’s the opposite, only Jesus can save and help us at times because we don’t have the full ability or all the answers without Him).

Nonetheless, I still appreciate this book’s perspective and insights, which contains ideas that can help one approach life in a more restful way that can help manage stress and even things like anxiety, grief or slights such as impatience (so long as Christ followers like me filter them through the truth as necessary, of course we aren’t the main audience for the book.)

One of my favorites was in some of the very first bits of advice she shares about noticing the beauty around us and getting out of ourselves, such as enjoying the feeling of a breeze blowing by. This helps so much to get your mind off the things in life that are worrying or stressing you. Things such as this very often help me relax when in the midst of stress, anxiety and other frustrations.

My favorite chapters were “Trust the seasons of your life” and “Types of tiredness.” As the author expresses with beautiful prose and metaphors, it’s so important to know when to rest and when to be active, as well as just how much and what type of rest you truly need. Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read this book and discover a new author!

Note: A free review copy of this book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Easy to read book with depth... a rare combination! Short, but some good gems in this book. It could've been longer and provided more than just bullet point ideas. But what it did provide was good.

I would like to thank the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this eBook.

I fell in love with this book right from the first page. I had to hold myself back from finishing it in one go. I took my time savoring this a little every day. I have been going through tough times the past few months and this book came into my life at the right time. Thank you Lucy Fuggle.

This book is one that can be dipped into again and again, read either in order or by picking an entry that just suits a current mood. There are many short, thoughtful entries in this book. I will pick a few that I read at random: Anxiety lies; You are not your past, The simplest things are most important, and a special favorite, Books help with everything.

This is a title that can offer a bit of inspiration and encouragement when those are the qualities needed. I will be looking at this one for a while.

Many thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this title. All opinions are my own.

Your Life in Bloom is a sweet little, matter of fact book which states its purpose in a simple yet effective language. I gained quite a lot and finished it in one go start to finish.

A unique book, like a self-help of poetry that has so many good insights. It's short and beautiful. Thanks to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review.

I raced through this lovely, thoughtful book in one short sitting. The author shares with the reader her advice on dealing with life's ups and downs. I feel like I picked this book up at just the right time. I found it comforting, wise and to the point. Lovely illustrations too.

** Thanks to NetGalley, Lucy Fuggle, and BooksGoSocial for this ARC**

I picked this up kind of on a whim. The cover is (obviously) gorgeous and the author said she was inspired by Mary Oliver, one of my favorite poets. Your Life in Bloom was a really lovely, short reflection on nature and life that rolled up a lot of the lessons I am continuing to learn into a sweet, beautifully illustrated package. Something I expect I will turn back to :)
