This is such a sweet story and the writing style was so engaging that I was willing to keep reading despite spelling errors (e.g., dissent instead of descent, nineth instead of ninth) and a few formatting issues. The characters are absolutely endearing and the whole thing has a very positive feel-good vibe. I was a little surprised by the few instances of swearing, and the steaminess of the kissing, but these weren't off putting enough for me to stop reading. I loved the role of the library and the "old soul" attitudes of the hero and heroine, as well as the matchmaking girls who grow up to inherit the library. This was a fun, quick read and would be great for the beach.

Leseempfehlung!

Another hit for Ms. Moran. I love her books,

So sweet novella. I laughed so much. I loved it from begging to end. I can’t wait for more.
The girls known as Bookish Belles were helping there favorite teacher out Ms Fillmore.
I loved when they went to her house to give her a makeover.
Then when she walks into the library and approaches Sheldon Brown who owns the library which goes way back.
A spark ignites between Rosemary Fillmore and Sheldon Brown.

A must read.

I love bookstores and romance and as an added bonus, the story takes place in Georgia. I didn't realize it was a novella and when right away they went on a date, I was curious how a book could be filled. Lovely characters. Sounds like a town I'd love to live in too.

Romantic novella that gave me all the feels! Who doesn’t love a matchmaking scheme with some Southern charm (think Hart of Dixie TV show). The recipe at the end of the story was a bonus as well! 🙌

This ARC was provided by the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I am fan of books based on small towns, particularly those that have a group of female friends as the principal characters. A Thousand Moments by Kelly Moran tells the story of lifelong friends Scarlet, Dorothy and Rebecca; this short story establishes the characters of these women and the story line around which their characters will move.

Dorothy and her friend unexpectedly find themselves the owner of a run-down and historic library which had been in the Vallantin family since it was built first by the town founder. It seems their life will change because of this sudden inheritance while they come up with plans so as not to lose the heritage.

The story is instantly engaging and entertaining. I am definitely interested in finding out what happens with all these women. Most particularly, I loved author Kelly Moran's style of writing. She has a wonderfully descriptive was of writing, with words that flow like a beautiful river. She has the ability to hook the readers from the get-go and pull them completely into the story. She is my latest favorite; I just can't wait to read more of her works. Glad I opted to read this book.

It is a story of three friends who love reading and book. Dorothy, Scarlett and Rebecca who called themselves Bookish Belles played matchmaker for their teacher, Rosemary and Sheldon, a librarian. Two unlikely person to fall for each other, Rosemary is convinced her future involves book and cat and ever clumsy and awkward, Sheldon would love to ask her out but his clumsiness seem to only annoy her. Overall it is an easy to read story with realistic and adorable characters.

This is the first of a new series, Because It's True, and I think it is off to a wonderful start.
Rosemary doesn't look for or expect much excitement in her life. She is perfectly content with a nice glass of sweet tea and curling up with her cat after a long day. Her three students, however, have other ideas. They believe her and the new librarian, Sheldon are perfect for each other and deserve their own happily ever after so they put their matchmaking skills to work. Both are shy and likely need a little help with getting together. Sheldon has been trying to get up the nerve to ask Rosemary out, but he gets the impression that she's not too happy with him and how he is handling the beautiful landmark that is the town library.
There was no denying Rosemary and Sheldon had a strong connection and the sparks definitely fly between them. The characters were all likable and well-developed and you can't help but fall in love with them. I enjoyed watching Sheldon and Rosemary grow closer and their love blossom. This was a very sweet and delightful beginning to what looks to be a charming series.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

A Thousand Moments by Kelly Moran is a great short novella to introduce us to the upcoming Heart of Vallantine series. A Thousand Moments introduces us to the small town of Vallantine, Georgia and some of the characters that live there.

Rosemary Fillmore is a literary teacher in the southern town. She thinks that no one ever notices her and if she was to disappear no one would even notice. Sheldon Brown is shy, dorky man that inherited the Vallantine Library because he's the only living descendant of the founders of the town. The library is in disrepair and needs a lot of help to survive. Three of Rosemary's students, affectionally known by the Bookish Belles, give her a makeover and secretly set her up with Sheldon. Can they save the failing library and find love in the process?

I really enjoyed this short but sweet novella. I can't want to read more in the series, which will follow the characters of Vallantine, specifically the Bookish Belles.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this Novella. Even though it's set in contemporary times, it has an old-fashioned, timeless kind of quality to it that I really liked.

Wallflower Rosemary Fillmore has never endeavored anything more than a good book, a cool glass of sweet tea, and a cat to curl up in her lap after a long day of teaching teenagers how to dissect literary masterpieces. Dowdy and shy, hardly anyone in her quaint southern town of Vallantine, Georgia, knows she exists, and the only time she has an ounce of confidence is if the world is a fictional one. So, when three of her star students suddenly start to show an interest in her personal life, or lack thereof, she wonders what on earth the girls are after. Or why. And how it involves a certain town librarian. Because she hasn’t exactly agreed with how he’s been running the beautiful landmark into the ground since taking over, and frankly, she’s been more than a little upset about it. Besides, he is probably the sole person more awkward than herself, despite how kind or understatedly handsome he may be.

As the only living descendant of the original town founders, saving the Vallantine Library from destitution falls on Sheldon Brown’s shoulders. And he’s failing. Miserably. The one-hundred and forty-year-old historical building, erected by his ancestors, has been in near ruins for a decade, and the state of the library system is declining. What he doesn’t need adding to his burden is giggling teenage girls hanging out between the stacks, spying on him, and asking silly questions about their teacher. Even if the woman in question is Rosemary. Pretty, sweet, and utterly endearing Rosemary, who he’s been attempting to ask on a date since forever. Except he’s chronically gotten the impression she doesn’t approve of him or his attempts to save the library. But then a mishap one night and a strange challenge from an unlikely source changes everything, and he wonders if perhaps two introverted bookworms can get a happy ending, after all.

This novella is a quick read. It sets up a new series but also has a romance of its own.

The story did a nice job balancing seeing Rosemary and Sheldon finding love and meeting the three best friends who help them along the way.

I flew through this sweet, fun story and now I Am looking forward to more in this series!

This is a good book. The two main characters are Rosemary and Sheldon. They have known each other all their lives. Rosemary is a teacher and Sheldon works in the family library. There is a mutual attraction. Some of Rosemary’s students give Rosemary a makeover and have her meet them at the library. They want Sheldon to see her with her makeover. He likes the changes. He ask her to lunch. They each have their issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
