In Farm’s Way is book 3 of Amanda Flower’s Farm to Table Cozy Mystery series. It’s winter time but that doesn’t mean that Organic Farm owner Shiloh Bellomy is any less busy. She’s working on repairs to her run down farm and making plans for her summer time organic crops. When Shiloh’s best friend Kristy Garcia invites her to a beer tasting party and voting contest for a new cherry flavored beer she reluctantly attends but she’d rather be home in her cozy cabin reading by the fire place. The party is held at the Fields Brewing Company in downtown Cherry Glen. When Kristy’s husband's brew doesn’t take first place and the award goes to Brewery owner Wallace Field’s right hand man voters question the results of the vote. Then the very next day Wallace Fields is found frozen under the ice in Lake Skegemog. When Kent Garcia becomes a prime suspect Kristy goes to her friend Shiloh for help in rounding up suspects in hopes of getting her husband removed from that list. Since Wallace Fields wasn’t well liked by the community there seems to be no end to finding suspects but only one person killed this man. Find out who and why when you read In Farm's Way.
I think what I enjoyed the most about this mystery was the relationship between Shiloh Bellomy and her little pug dog Huckleberry. I always appreciate this authors mysteries because of her writing style. Amanda Flower has long been one of my favorite Cozy Mystery writers. This one kept me guessing to almost the end of the book and I was surprised by Whodunnit. It was entertaining and unpredictable. The characters fit well with the story. I’m looking forward to reading book four because of the way this book ended. Readers are left hanging when Shiloh must make an important decision in her life.
I recommend this book to readers of Cozy Mysteries and fans of the Author. I have read the first three books but I feel that a reader could keep up with this story if they have not read book one or book two.
This book is scheduled to be released on 2/24/23
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions expressed here in this review are my own.

I enjoy many of this author's works. This is a fairly new series. Overall, the book is a fun read that is typical of cozy mysteries. I did feel that the character of Shiloh could be developed a bit more, I find her a bit bland. And I would like to see more of a supporting cast of regulars from the town. I kept wondering for someone who kept saying how much work it was to run a farm why she was never doing any farm work. The main part of the mystery revolved around a brewery in town and a murder that was connected to it. Some of the story involving the brewery and facts about it were hard to believe. The resolution of the book was tangential and reaching at best.

Shiloh decides to help solve the murder of a brewery owner so her best friend's husband doesn't take the fall. Good character development from the first book in the series, but since this is only book two, a newcomer to the series should be able to follow along. The plot moved along briskly enough with clues pointing to the killer. A quick cozy read. I received an ARC via #netgalley.

While I enjoyed this book overall, I had a couple of issues. This was an ARC, so probably not the final version. There were more than the usual goofs that needed to be corrected, wrong words, a sentence that didn't make sense, etc. I obviously noticed them, but they didn't really impact my enjoyment of the book. But my second issue, when has the dropping of clues to enable the sleuth and reader to solve the mystery disappeared?
I've commented in the last several books by this writer (which I've read very closely together) that the killer keeps outing themself. There was no proof or really strong indications in most cases that the individual may be the killer. The same in this case. It's terribly, terribly flimsy how Shiloh puts some pieces together after the killer outs themself in the usual way of Flower's last several books.
I get enough enjoyment out of the characters, settings and general story lines, but I would like to see more effort in developing the mystery.
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

This is just a fun little series. I particularly love the location. The local characters are quirky and the cozy murder mysteries keep the reader's attention. Recommend this series and this book, especially if you love Northern Michigan!

When Shiloh attends an event at the local brewery, she finds a possible way to expand her farm’s business by collaborating with the local organic brewer’s association. Little did she know that she’d also find the brewery owner dead the next morning. But such is the life and luck of Shiloh Bellamy.
With her BFF’s husband as the primary suspect, and Huckleberry having found the body, Shiloh finds herself sleuthing and adding names to her suspect list. Will she find the murderer before they strike again or will she too be sleeping with the fish before it’s all over?
Amanda Flower always captures my attention when I see a book written by her. She’s never let this reader down once with one of her mysteries. The characters come to life along with the scenery and you find yourself feeling as if you’re working alongside a friend to help solve the mystery. Add in some fun and quirky characters along with some adorable furry friends and you’ve got a great time waiting for you to pick it up and join the whodunit!

Suspects Abound...
The third in the Farm To Table series of mysteries and Shiloh is up to her eyes getting the farm shipshape and at the same time is keen to broker some new deals - especially with Fields brewery. When the owner of said brewery is found murdered Shiloh’s plans are put on hold as she dips her toe into yet another murder investigation where suspects are coming out of the woodwork. A well drawn cast and an engaging protagonist make this another entertaining tale and a solid addition to the series.

I received a free copy of, In Farm's Way, by Amanda Flower, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Shiloh has a murder to investigate. This was a nice mystery, not too heavy or dull.

I enjoyed In Farm's Way by Amanda Flower very much.
Shiloh is working hard, trying to improve the family farm, and finding inventive ways to make the farm profitable.
Her pug Huckleberry is my favorite character. I have a pug, and she captured the pug mind perfectly.
This was an interesting story, I enjoyed the ice fishing parts, it's always fun to read about something different.
I'm looking forward to reading more in this series by one of my favorite authors.

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, from Poisoned Pen Press and #NetGalley. Thank you for the opportunity to preview and review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
The third in an established cozy mystery series didn’t disappoint. Shiloh’s a strong character with a pug that makes up for the grumpy, unsettling characters. I like the series but her dad and cousin are characters I’d rather not read about. Constantly unsatisfied with anything Shiloh does, it makes them some of the most annoying characters I’ve ever read. Huckleberry the Pug makes up for their flaws. Amanda Flower must be a pug owner, their personality is perfectly captured.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters especially the dog. The story is interesting and a fast read. I was definitely surprised by who the killer is. #InFarmsWay #NetGalley
