I was not familiar with this author before reading this book which when it comes to Christian nonfiction does make me a little cautious, but I though the entire message of this book was really strong. I did think the best chapters were the first two and I loved how the message of this book steered away from having an emotion-filled faith and focused on the need for discipline and faithfulness in order to stay ignited. I really feel like the first two chapters are the stars of this book and the rest of the book focuses more on the author’s story and more basic application in my opinion. This book does feel geared more toward younger females.

Great read. After being diagnosed with cancer and still dealing with surgeries, I strayed from the church a little. I was angry and sad. But this book is helping me to get my way back to God. Thank you!
