I went into this book expecting some things to happen that did and some things to happen that didn't in addition to there being a few surprises along the way. Certain characters annoyed me and just seemed a bit too much like they were added to plug holes, but overall, I enjoyed the book. I think the multiple perspectives was fun, but it was a bit odd that there wasn't continuity between them, with Olivia being the only character in 1st person.

I do feel that with this type of storyline the main characters stumble into solutions purely out of luck way too often with a lot of reliance on other people to move the story along is beyond overdone. It would be nice to have this type of setup and find the character we're meant to be rooting for has a plan and executes it, even if not everything goes according to that plan. This story also seemed to grow more complicated for the sake of complicated and adding more twists than I felt were necessary. One thing of note: I have a really hard time visualizing people. Usually, well known celebrities that fits the one or two defining character traits fills the shoes of a given character, but the author did a great job in getting my own imagination pumping to land on my own versions of several characters, Lee, Nancy, Smithy and Casey in particular. I'm not used to characters coming to life as well as they did in this book and that made it much more enjoyable.

Thank you Netgalley and Harper 360 for this ARC of The Guilty Couple by C.L. Taylor.

This was a good, solid story that gripped me most of the way. However, I found myself just wanting this to be over towards the end. The plot was good, the twists were great, but something was just lacking for me and I slowly lost interest. Overall for me, it was just an okay read.

Unexpected! Most of the book felt like the usual - marital affair, someone is framed and goes to jail. However, the twist at the end was unexpected.
Felt like there was quite a bit of side story that kept things going, but it all fit within the web of the characters. Overall definitely would recommend this book .

Thank you Netgalley & Harper 360/Avon for an eARC of The Guilty Couple! With one look at the cover of this book, I knew I needed to request it! What would you do if your husband framed you for murder? Now that Olivia is free from prison, you're going to find out just how far she will go to rekindle her relationship with her daughter and right the wrongs that were done to her. I switched off between the audio and physical for this one, and both were great. This is a twisty psychological thriller that will leave you guessing until the very last page.

A classic revenge book with a twist. What if you thought you spouse set you up for murder what would you do to get even? Don’t trust any character within this book! Absolutely one of the best books I have read all year!

I loved everything about this book! I switched back and forth between reading and listening and honestly… they’re totally equal! The narrator is fabulous, the writing is phenomenal… the storyline blows my mind!!! I loved it all! The alternating chapters and figuring out who the bad guys are and the fuzzy line between doing what’s right and doing the right thing… absolutely epic! Callie Taylor is in a class all to herself!
