Your next Summer Romance is here!!

Shani Haim continues to blossom as a newly published author as she delivers another heartwarming story packed with great banter, lots of steam, and two characters I completely adore.

Laura is stubborn as ever, but Zach steals my heart with him falling hard for her. They both have their fair share of family (mainly parental) issues, and it was such a breath of fresh air when Lauraโ€™s sister Olivia was introduced. I swooned over Zach as he bonded so naturally with her. I hoping thereโ€™s more to come from Olivia ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€

If you love a heartwarming contemporary romance with low angst, this is perfect for you and will make a great summer read.

4.5 STEAMY STARS

This was a quick and easy contemporary romance that i loved. Zach and Laura are pretending to be able to have the benefits without having feelings but they both desire each other on a more emotional level as well. The slow burn, longing and chemistry is off the scale in this one. If that's your thing this is the one for you.

I felt this was a good follow-up to the Heart of a Painter, and the stark contrast between Erin and Thomas was campy and fun. I liked the slow-burn, and really appreciated the scenes with Olivia, because they really brought light to Zach as a person and began to build the chemistry that seemed to be there. I have never really considered wedding photography to be an intensive profession, but this novel actually sold me on it and really opened my eyes. I also really think Shani Haim did an amazing job making me hate Laura's parents, much better than with Thomas and even Zach's. It read as very genuine, while Thomas and Zach's just did not deliver in the same way. In general, this series has been an interesting mix of whirlwind romance and angst, and I would recommend it to avid adult romance readers.

This was a DNF for me. I got about a quarter of the way through but it seemed all sex and no substance so I gave up. The story starts with FWB and a very graphic sex scene, and basically repeats every other chapter. I did start to see some of the friendship grow between the couple but it felt too disjointed as the multiple sex scenes wrecked the flow of things, and it would have been better if some of them had just been referred to rather than explicitly stated so that the reader could get more into the romance side of things as the progression of the romance didnโ€™t seem to flow naturally

After meeting these two in the first installment of this series, I was curious to see how things with them would end up. I did not expect them to be where they are at the beginning of the book but kind of understood it given where the last one left off. It was cute to watch them grow together past their hesitancy and figure things out. Spicy and worth diving into!

4.5 The Benefits of Love is the 2nd book in the As I Am series and this story follows Zach and Laura, two workaholic who embark on a friends with benefits arrangement, as they both had no time to devote to relationships.
This novel was hott and steamy and it was quite interesting to see how their relationship evolved over the course of this story from mostly s3x to friendship to so much more.
I enjoyed this author's style of writing. I loved that she gave us the characters thoughts and emotions in the story and how easy it was to feel what they felt. Zach and Laura had great push and pull dynamic and I loved their witty banter. They ended up having so much in common and were really well suited for each other.
This novel was a light, fun, steamy read and I loved it. I would highly recommend it to lovers of contemporary romance.
