I really wanted to like this book. I loved The Atlas Six but this story just stalled out for me. Nobody seemed to be doing much of anything other than thinking about what the other person was doing and it just got tedious. I had to DNF halfway through the book and I couldn't make myself read it anymore.

Since I went into this book thinking this series would be a duology I was not expecting it to leave on cliffhanger, but now I have more questions as to what in the world is actually going on. I felt like we were really building up to something and then it just ended without anything being resolved. This is not necessarily a bad thing because I trust that Olivie Blake will lead us to the ending that this crew deserves. I was super pumped towards the end. I even fist pumped the air during a certain visit, but dang!. I’m sure there is a rhyme and reason, to the chaos of what is happening. Although I felt as though some of the research discussion lead me astray and it felt as though the story lost the plot. I will say that this book has made me rethink my original feelings from some characters in the first book. I also hope that we are given more information on the magical societies as well as Atlas and Dalton. I was not a fan of Reina’s story arc in this book, but I really enjoyed the dynamics between the guys. I absolutely fell in love with The Atlas Six and I can’t wait to read the last installment of this series.

Absolutly Amazing! Im so glad i discovered this series. The second Book is even better than the first one. I love the magic system, the characters, the plot. 10/10 and hope the third book is published soon!

The Atlas Paradox by Olivie Blake is the sequel to a very interesting story about a group of students with a variation of powers similar to X-Men. They are taken to live and compete all together until an attack occurs and one of the students is taken. I was really looking forward to this continuation, however, this sequel was a major let down to me. I felt like I was reading the exact same book as the first with no real advancement in the story. There was no further information on Alexandrian Society or why there were generations of students brought in and then once again ends on an unhelpful cliffhanger. I doubt I will continue with the series, it was all I could do to get through this one.

I liked this a bit more than book one and that is saying a lot! If you love morally gray characters and scientific magic, you will love this series!

Nothing... happened in this book. I remember thinking nothing much happened in the last book either, but at least that one had vibes. This one was mostly characters sitting around by themselves and occasionally speaking to one other character. Then sometimes they would confusingly flash back to a conversation they had with a different one other character. I just don't know what this was supposed to be or who I am supposed to be rooting for.

Sorry for everyone out there who loved this but I had to DNF it. I tried and I couldn't do it. I barely made it though The Atlas Six and I thought I could maybe get through this because I was curious on what was going to happen to the characters but I couldn't. I don't like the writing and I honestly didn't really like any of the characters. I know a lot of people love these books so you should definitely give them a try. I'm just an outlier.

I did end up giving The Altas Six 3 stars so I was able to push though and if I ignored everything I didn't like it was a decent read. I would definitely still recommend this book to readers who like dark academia with twists and ruthless characters.

This book took a turn...and I don't know if it was for the worse or best.

I love A6 - however, Paradox just left a taste in my mouth that I don't know if I like it. There where characters that I didn't care about. There where characters that I loved. I honestly am writing this review months after reading it because I couldn't remember most of what I did read. The writing style and the academic speak that was A6 is sorely lacking, imo.

The Atlas Paradox did not disappoint for me. Like The Atlas Six, I do feel like nothing and everything happen at the same time. The author does a great job with each of her characters and they all feel so distinct. I appreciate that how they see the world, their morals, and what they are or are not willing to do, really show in each character. I like how the book is broken up into parts. The title of each part foreshadows what that section is going to be about and I enjoy how she connects the two together. I'm a fan of every character because they are all so broken in their own way and they are trying to figure out how to live in this world. The complex topics she addresses are at times, a little over my head, but I think it's important to be challenged and to think about things we aren't necessarily knowledgeable in.

I am so excited for The Atlas Complex. Olivie Blake has become one of my favorite authors.

This is such a fun series and I enjoyed the second installment! I loved learning more about each character and diving more in depth with their magic abilities.

Unfortunately, this book did not live up to my expectations that I had after reading the first book. The characters got more boring, instead of more interesting.
I still think that the world building was done really well, and I'll probably pick up this authors next book.

Amazing! A perfect followup to Atlas Six! I cannot wait for the next book in this series. Olivie Blake is a truly talented writer.

Only a fool, reading the first book, would expect there to be plot in this book, as Blake seems to operate entirely in the vibe dimension. That said, there isn’t much here plot wise, and the vibes were not as good as in the first book.

There’s little academia in this dark academia, but also little character growth.

I’m a huge fan of The Atlas Six so I was thrilled to read more of this series. Olivie Blake writes beautifully developed characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a story filled with an eclectic group of characters.

Addicting as the first book. The characters just draw you in and the story evolved to new heights in this book.

girl... olivie blake knows how to write the fuck out of a book. i read this in one sitting (probably just because im sick) but regardless- i read it in one sitting. there are so many connections that had me gasping. the ending i literallt goodbye give me the next one i need closure thank u

Although this novel's pacing dragged a bit in places, and I wished there were more outright conflict between the characters, I loved Blake's atmospheric writing as always—and the intriguing ending has me eagerly anticipating book three!
