I don’t have much to say because this book is very disappointing. I was excited to read it and then…

The characters were weak. The overall tone was flat and unexciting. The relationship progress was very platonic, and a damn time wasting.

There were too many useless and repetitive scenes… what was the point of those? No resolution on the past conflict for Brent. God, Brent. How much more pathetic could he be???

Overall, I didn’t have a good time reading this. Would not recommend, sorry :(

Christine and Britney were twins, but Britney was always the one who worried about how she looked, and dressed and what people thought of her. She was kinda centered on herself, whereas, her sister Christine was more worried about what others thought or needed. She always thought people were comparing her to Britney and picking Britney over her.

Brent was a friend from High School but he also had dated Britney for 6 years. Britney was convinced that she was the one who was wronged in that relationship and is against her sister even being friends with Brent. Brent, on the other hand, wants to be friends but when he is done working on his Aunt's house he will be going back to Virginia.

I really enjoyed this book, as I always do when I pick up a book by Amy Clipston. Check out the book I think you will enjoy it.

I think small-town romance is quickly becoming one of my favorite genres to read. We find strong characters who have to learn quickly how to get over their issues so they can survive. They usually are running businesses or farms and learning how to deal with everyday life.

That is exactly what we see in Christine and Brent. These two connected on such a visceral level it was hard to stop reading. They connected in interests, humor, family, talent, and work ethic. I was fully committed to this story from the beginning and could not wait to see how Clipston would manage to build Brent's self-esteem back so we could get a happily ever after.

The author delivered delightful scenes of small-town USA with splashes of family drama, life challenges, and the warmth of growing love. Something Old, Something New is a treat that blends the love of old and new with a bright future of new romance that warms the heart. Perfect for women's fiction and romance readers alike. Plus, the cover is perfect!

This is a good book. The two main characters are Christine and Brent. They have known each other all their lives. When Christine and Brent were in high school Brent dated Christine’s twin sister. Christine runs an antique store and Brent is a remodeler. He has come back to his hometown because his favorite aunt needs help on remodeling her house to sell. They each have some issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

This book was everything I wanted it to be. It had me turned pages without even realizing. It was so good!

Loved this story of Catherine and Brent.. Brittainy (Catherine's twin sister) were high school sweethearts) They broke up. Brent was the high school quarterback and went to college on a football scholarship and then injured his knee. They each move on with their life and then he comes back home to help his aunt redo her house. to sell.. Catharine and Brent become friends. There are many obstacles keeping them from being more. A VERY GOOD READ.

Once again Amy Clipston has written my favorite type of book to read, a clean hard warming romance. I fell in love with both of the leads in this story. Christine Sawyer is the self-proclaimed nerdy twin. Her sister Britney was the popular cheerleader. Two sisters could not be more different. Brent Nicholson went to school with the twins and was the football quarter back, dating Britney and becoming homecoming Queen and King. Once Brent left town he did not plan on returning to small town Flowering Grove, NC. Aunt Midge called Brent and needed his help with repairs to her house. Returning to town, he just wanted to get the job done and leave with seeing as few people as possible. The first person he runs into literally, was Christine. It has been almost 10 years since they have seen each other. Christine has always loved antiques and often went shopping with her grandmother. Now she has achieved her dream in owning her own Antique Mall.This was a great read and I totally enjoyed it.

Something Old, Something New is a sweet, clean contemporary story.

Christine Sawyer owns an antique mall, where she also restores used furniture. Her fraternal twin sister Britany was the outgoing sister. She once dated Brent Nicholson and felt that he had cheated on her. Christine finds herself helping Brent's aunt clean out her house of antiques, and before long, she and Brent find themselves attracted to each other. Much to Britany's dismay.

An interesting twist to a romance novel. Showing Christine and Brent's insecurities was insightful, as they are both generous and loving people. Could they be more than friends. Especially when their chemistry draws them together. Brent's feeling he isn't good enough. And Christine's sister not able to let go of the past. There are truths that are revealed and forgiveness and reconciliations occur in the families. Amy Clipston has written a delightful and heartwarming story.

This is a very sweet, clean romance set in North Carolina. Christine and Brent reconnect after years apart and have to see if they can overcome challenges posed by their past, some present challenges, and some insecurities on both sides. The characters are engaging, and I liked that the author never resorted to gimmicks to increase the drama. The dialogue at times verges on being unrealistically sweet to me, but it’s an enjoyable, light read.

I received an Advanced Reader copy from Netgalley for my honest review. I have discovered a new favorite author. The story of Christine and Brent has a lot of past history. They are only 28 with so many life experiences ahead of them. Family relationships and expectations, voiced and unspoken, are a driving force. Learning to love yourself is required before loving someone else. I enjoyed watching their friendship grow. Add in the relationship of a twin and mix things up. Love Aunt Midge and her feistiness! Highly recommend for a fun, cozy romance.

I have never read anything by this author before, But I really liked the cover of this book so I requested it. I wasn't disappointed at all. This was the first Amy Clipson book that I have read,. but it certainly won't be my last. I just loved all of here characters and the fact that this is a clean romance. This book also deals with an antique mall which I also love. I finished this book almost in one sitting. After looking up the author, I am going to have to check out her Amish books as well. I really liked her writing

Once again Amy Clipston has written a clean, contemporary romance that I devoured in one lazy Sunday afternoon! Christine and Brent knew each other in high school ... he even dated her twin sister for several years. Now they've reconnected just before their 10th high school reunion but both have insecurities to overcome before they can have their happily ever after. I really enjoyed reading about Christine's antique shop and Brent's work on renovating his great aunt's home. This is a fun and easy read for those who like a clean romance.

I totally loved this book. The characters, which Amy Clipston is a master at creating, are fully developed, interesting, and oh-so-real! Their hopes, concerns, and problems are very relatable. I've previously only read Ms. Clipston's books based in the Amish community. What a treat to find Something Old, Something New! I would love to read more about Christine, Brent, and Aunt Midge!

I know Amy Clipston best by her Amish Fiction that she writes with great mastery. This is not Amish Fiction, This is a contemporary romance novel that is clean, sweet, and in parts, fun to read. The characters have some depth to them that make them relatable.
Christine Sawyer runs an antique mall that is about to be swallowed up by rent increases on her building. She is making ends meet at the moment, but she won't be able to afford the rent increase without help.

Brent Nicholson is helping his aunt Midge get her house ready to sell and finds a lot of treasures that Christine can use in her store. This helps Christine some and she appreciates it. The more the two of them spend time together, the closer they become.

The fly in the Brent/Christine ointment is Christine's twin sister, Britney, who dated Brent in high school. Britney claims that Brent cheated on her but never got his side of the story.

Brent and Christine have some issues to overcome with feelings of inadequacy stemming from real and perceived slights from their own families.

I truly enjoyed this book, but I missed one thing that Amy usually includes in her books, and that is the faith of the characters. There is no mention of faith in the book at all. When Amy writes her Amish fiction, she weaves the faith of the characters into the warp and weft of the book seamlessly.

Overall, a four-star read.

In true Amy Clipston style, she brings us another great, entertaining book. I enjoyed this very much and highly recommend it to readers.

Twin sisters, a former boyfriend of one of them, and his match-making aunt make this enjoyable.

We get an insight to what twins sometimes think in comparing themselves to each other. We also see the effect of a career-ending injury and how one has to come to terms and build a new life in its after-effects.

Shattered dreams, anger, forgiveness, and romance are huge components to this book.

Wasn't really good and wasn't really, really bad. Seemed EXTREMELY TAME for a romance novel. It was sweet -- that's about it. Plus, the writing was...weird. Nobody talks like that in real life. Then, I looked at the author's other books and realized she mainly wrote Amish stuff, so it made kinda sense why the whole thing was like that. If you want super clean puritanical romance, where nobody kisses anybody and nobody thinks dirty thoughts about their love interest, this is your book.

Christine Sawyer has a good life with her antiques shop in the town she has always lived with her family nearby, including her “perfect “ twin sister. Brent Nicholson is the former high school quarterback who dated Christine’s twin sister Britney through high school and has returned to their hometown, having lost his college scholarship due to a severe football injury, and losing his business leaving him financially and emotionally broke,. He has agreed to help his great aunt Midge prepare her home to sell it for a room and board. Christine has admired Brent for a long time, but her sister’s bad breakup with Brent prevents her from acting on her feelings as she works with Brent to clear the long-hidden treasures from Midge’s home.

As Brent and Christine grow close working together they uncover remarkable and valuable treasures for the antique store, as well as a sweet and precious relationship of their own. The challenge is to find a way forward that won’t strain Christine and Britney’s relationship or Brent’s relationship with his family.

I received a free copy of this book for my honest, voluntary review. This story is all about unexpected hidden treasures found in life and the importance of handling them with great respect and care. I enjoyed it enormously.

This book was based in a small town, which of course I feel in love with. We quickly met the main characters, Christina and Brent.
Christina, owned her own business and Brett came back to town to help his awesome Aunt Midge.

Of course from the beg we know these two will be getting together, this is their story of the how, and there was a lot of fun in the how.

My issue is how often we read from them both that they won’t be getting together, it just gets old, knowing they will.

I feel there was other things to focus on, don’t want to give too much away but this has a let story, a athletic story, a remodeling story, and the list goes on.

Enjoyable read.

First of all, if I could give this book more than five stars, I would. It is just a delightful romantic story. The characters are so likable…the antique mall adds to the novel…this reads like nonfiction but is definitely a romantic fiction book…I liked this book…I really liked this book…the protagonist is quirky…kind…good…funny…her love interest doesn’t seem to have a clue sometimes…her sister is jealous…her parents caring…the aunt in the story is delightful…there is a myriad of characters and ages…even little twins…I could not put this book down…the timeline is linear which I enjoy…no language or explicit scenes for which I am always thankful…just a great romance for an afternoon…cuddle up in a cozy chair…get a cup of steaming herbal tea and be carried away…or sit relaxed in a chair by the gorgeous ocean…just read and have fun…this book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy. Please please have more books by this author. Here we go…five stars plus…
