I would give more than five stars if I could. Olivia Dade continues to blow me away with her talent. Her writing is so strong, the emotional conflict real and believable, her characters fully fleshed-out and lovable. Peter and Maria have years and years of pining between them and their chemistry??? Off the charts. What a beautiful love story, with plenty of humor, mixed in with anti-capitalist arguments and the importance of being around family and what family really means. This is a work of art and I will buy anything Olivia Dade writes until the rest of time. What a beautiful end to this series.
Thank you to Netgalley and Avon for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I love this author… I’ve read all of her other books so I knew I had to read this one and it did not disappoint! I truly recommend them to everyone. The characters and writing style are beautiful

I LOVED THIS! SHIP WRECKED is my new favorite book in the SPOILER ALERT series.
SHIP WRECKED was an excellent contemporary, friends-to-lovers, slowburn, dual-POV romance. I loved seeing Maria and Peter learn to understand their feelings for one another over the years. The progression of their relationship felt very natural.
Despite the occasional corny (but mostly fun) bits, Olivia Dade’s writing really improved over the course of this series. Loved the fat rep, loved the conversations around body hair and anti-dieting.
The character development throughout the story made my heart hurt in the best way. I loved watching Maria and Peter grow as people and learn to express their wants and needs.
Overall, this was a great conclusion to the SPOILER ALERT world. I cannot wait to read more by Olivia Dade!
Content Warnings: death of a parent (past), actors requested to diet (challenged).

This was such an adorable read!! I, of course, have read the previous books in the spoiler alert series, and they definitely don't disappoint! This book had me engaged from the start. I absolutely loved the banter between Peter and Maria, especially at the start of their journey. I'll admit the time jump was a little confusing to me at first, but as I kept reading I made more sense of it. Overall, I really liked this book! It had my laughing and smiling. And the ending was just too cute!

This ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review! And honestly, this book was not it for me. It seemed to be borderline fetishizing people with bigger bodies, and I have sensed a pattern with other titles by this author regarding similar issues. I had a difficult time getting into the story, which was disappointing because as a bigger person myself, it’s always wonderful to see that represented.

SO CUTE! 5 stars cute!
I have loved every single book in this series so far and Ship Wrecked was just as perfect as it’s predecessors. Maria and Peter were so adorable and I love a good friends to lovers romance. I was worried about the time jumps at first and I shouldn’t have been because the story moved along at a perfect pace. Bravo!

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and Olivia Dade for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
So I am very late to the Olivia Dade game, but better late than never right?? I am also reading these books out of order because my copies of Spoiler Alert and All The Feels didn’t come in until after I started Ship Wrecked, but this is an honest review for a reason and I just COULDN’T WAIT ANY LONGER Y’ALL. This book was calling my name and I’m so glad I gave in. Maria and Peter are absolutely hilarious, wonderful, amazing, *insert every other adjective describing happiness*. For real. The only complaint I have with this book is that at times I had a little trouble with the timeline (meaning like what year it was/how long they had been on the island filming) which is why this isn’t a full 5 stars, but besides that I loved this book. This book was also full of spicy scenes, so if that isn’t your jam I wouldn’t pick it up (but if it is your jam, keep on reading!).
Both main characters have flaws and recognize they have flaws. Both main characters, even though at times they lash out/act out, also eventually come around to understanding the others point of view and trying to see things from the other person’s perspective. I also thought Olivia Dade made a very interesting creative choice towards the end of the book and I absolutely loved it! Instead of like most romances, where the female main character complains about the male main character’s baggage and how they won’t change for the relationship when the 3rd act breakup happens, Maria has an inner dialogue with herself about how they both have things they went through in the past that shape their choices/desires/needs and that although she wishes that they could align those paths, she can’t blame him/be upset when she herself has her own stuff to work through. I thought this was such a nuanced way to write/express this thought and I LOVED it. Seriously, loved this book and can’t wait to go back and read the first two!

I love love LOVE this series by Olivia Dade. I listened to the first two on audio (perfection), and read this one in an e-ARC, which was also perfect--couldn't put it down, binged it in a day. Dade's fanfic-inspired series is so good, and smart, and mature, and feminist; it's the perfect read for when you want a romance that hits absolutely all the notes, from sexy to thoughtful to funny (I laughed out loud at least five times).
Peter, on the eve of an audition that would FINALLY mean his big break in Hollywood (a Game of Thrones-inspired fantasy epic) after two decades of small and short-term jobs, has a one night stand with the beautiful Maria. He feels a real connection to her, but when he wakes up in the morning, she's gone, no note, nothing. Peter is shocked and hurt, but not nearly as shocked as when he turns up to his audition and finds out that his new costar is none other than Maria--and that they're going to spend the better part of the next six years shooting together on a remote island.
Somehow Dade perfectly balances both the longing of this couple, together daily for years on end but putting their romance on the backburner for the sake of their professional relationship, and the friendship they develop without letting the scope of time (six years!) drag down the pacing. As with all her books, Dade offers a conflict that is based not in silly drama but in the deep-seated personalities of her characters, Dade's characters are always competent and smart and self-aware, and the beauty of her romances are that the relationships she writes makes each character learn more about themself without sacrificing the core of their wants and needs.
Olivia Dade is generally a can't-miss and SHIP WRECKED is no exception. If you're looking for something fun, smart, sexy, body-positive, and absolutely impossible to put down, this is the book you want.

Parts of this book were really good, but a lot of it left my mind wandering or me putting it down. I am not sure if this is because there seemed to be some plot holes…maybe because this is the 3rd book in the series, but some characters come out of nowhere toward the end. One of them gets attacked. It was just weird.
Sex scenes are great.
Bonus points for fat characters.
Slow burn, grumpy/sunshine, HEA are all there.

This book wrecked me!
I really fell for this one. I was a bit hesitant to start, but OMG, I just love these two together!
Peter is so uncomfortable in his own skin but these two together are fire. Ship Wrecked is funny as heck, smoldering hot, and super sexy! Dade fires up this story with so much detail, wit, and energy you cannot wait to turn the next page!
I simply fell for this story! This is definitely one that you will re-read several times to catch every nuance of the powerful, yet subtle humor and exquisite storyline. I have so much love for this one!
Do yourself a favor and check it out as soon as possible!

Let me start by saying I loved this book and Olivia Dade will forever be an autobuy author for me. I loved Maria and Peter- Dade’s female characters are always powerhouse women and the men are always so loving and sweet which is truly the best combination in my humble opinion. I didn’t connect with Maria and Peter quite as well as I did April & Marcus or Lauren & Alex but I think that’s just because their particular issues didn’t hit as close to home as some of those from her previous books. This was still a great story with great characters and I loved it. 4.5 stars.

What an absolutely wonderful story. I had a smile on my face almost the entire time I was reading this, because the novel is so lovely.
Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved Maria; Peter, too, was fantastic. The relationship between the main characters is a fantastic one that is swoony, hot, and heartwarming.
I’d never before read a novel by Olivia Dade; I also had zero idea that this was book three in an established series. Now that I’m aware, I will say that I am planning on getting the first two titles of the series and reading them, soon.
I really, really enjoyed this one. Recommended.

This third installment of Olivia Dade’s series surrounding the cast of a GoT-like show delivered again! While incorporating previously introduced characters, much like their characters on the show, Maria and Peter are more isolated from the cast than the previous books. It makes this delightful lovers-to-enemies-to-friends-to-lovers book much more focused on the central couple as they figure out how to build and balance family - both found and otherwise. If you’re a fan of the previous books - this addition won’t disappoint and if you’re new to the series, Shipwrecked is a fun behind the scenes look at creating a television series with leads that are clearly pining for one another.

Olivia Dade has done it again!!! I truly did not think she could top herself after Spoiler Alert but Ship Wrecked is coming in at a close second. Thank you to Netgalley for the chance to read an early copy!

I am so happy we finally get to read Peter and Maria’s story!!
Let’s start at the very beginning… Peter spots Maria and there is instant attraction leading to a one night stand, after which they end up having to audition for the same show. To their horror/surprise/frustration Peter and Maria get cast as vikings stranded on an Irish island in the hit show Gods of the Gates. It wouldn’t be so bad except Peter is still hurt/interested in Maria and the crew shooting on the island is miniscule- like 5 people. Over the 6 years they film there, the group grows to be great friends and pseudo-family and the tension between Maria and Peter keeps building. As they’re about to be separated at the end of filming, they learn they get to go on a little tour to do interviews together, giving them the chance to explore their relationship beyond friendship in their hometowns in Wisconsin and Sweden.
Let’s put it this way: I love Maria, I love Peter, I love Maria’s family, I love Madison, WI where Peter grew up, I love the cameos by the rest of the Gods of the Gates cast, I love the crew on the islands, and I LOVE OLIVIA DADE!

This was not the book for me, but there were parts of it that I really enjoyed! I think for the right reader, this could easily be a four or five star read.
It’s the story of Maria and Peter, who are co stars in a Game of Thrones type fantasy show. They go from strangers who have a one night stand to coworkers to friends to pining for each other (that was my favorite part) to lovers.
I didn’t like the beginning and I didn’t like the end, but there was a lot to love about the middle. So I want to talk most about the middle! It was refreshing to see body positivity in a book where the protagonists are BOTH curvy and BOTH celebrities. I loved the idea of their fans “shipping” the relationship both on & off screen. It made me think of Jamie Lanister & Brienne of Tarth. Seeing Maria & Peter develop a friendship over the course of the show and then pining for each other on and off set was fantastic. I also liked the way they supported each other through the tough times during filming.
What I didn’t love:
The one night stand in the beginning was kind of gross to me. Mostly because we got almost zero sense of their compatibility beyond the physical & I think it would have been helpful to see at least a hint of that emotional attachment. I also felt like the fan fiction sections were just tacked on. It didn’t really fit. Peter was my favorite character between the two and while I love that he sacrificed for Maria, part of me felt like she wasn’t showing him the same kind of effort. In a relationship, both people need to give a little. It shouldn’t just be one person doing all of the work. Maybe that’s the fantasy though? I don’t know.
Anyway, for readers who love Comic Con, high fantasy, fan fiction, and shipping your fave fictional relationships, you will love this read. If those things aren’t your jam, you might skip this one.

I loved the story even though it was definitely a insta-love. I felt like Maria was probably my favorite character out of all three books. Finally a woman who knows she’s beautiful and big! She is happy with herself but also has an amazing support system.
I also appreciated that both main characters talk about therapy openly. They didn’t just fix their problems without realizing they needed help. Even more we get to see a woman saying I need this type of relationship. Finally! A woman saying she knows what she wants in a life partner and she won’t accept less.
My biggest issue was the pacing. It just felt off. I appreciated we got to see an in-depth relationship for the first season of shooting but parts of it dragged. Also Peter talks about how they grew to love one another but the only reason they weren’t together is because he wanted to not be coworkers. Overall a 4 out of 5 ⭐️!

I consumed this book. It was truly wonderful - Olivia Dade is a master at creating stories that feel specific to the protagonists and have arcs that reflect the uniqueness of their relationship. I never get tired of her books.

Olivia Dade does it again! I LOVED this book. Maria and Peter are one of my new favorite couples!
Dade always does such a good job at developing characters and relationships that feel real, while still adding much needed diversity to the romance genre. I don't know if I have ever read a romance book with a male plus sized hero, but I LOVED IT! They had such amazing chemistry and I loved how their complicated backgrounds and past enhanced the plot and made the problems they faced in their relationship more believable. Plus, I love a slow burn and this book does it so well!
Olivia Dade has quickly become an auto-buy author for me, and for good reason!

I really enjoyed Peter and Maria’s story and thought they had great chemistry throughout the book. It was fun seeing two cast mates as love interests for a change and how their filming experience contributed to their relationship and personal growth, like how Maria forced Peter to become more comfortable in social situations among the filming crew.
As characters, both Peter and Maria have complex and even heartbreaking backgrounds. Their unique childhoods contributed to many of the conflicts in this book and it was a great lesson of how lasting certain traumatic experiences are. I liked how they helped each other grow and overcome the lasting impacts and move foreword in life. I found that the complexity of their relationships with each other and loved ones made them such interesting characters.
While I did enjoy this book, it did feel rather long and dragged out. Lots of scenes could have been edited down a bit more to make it a faster paced read as sometimes I did get bored while reading. The writing itself was good and I can see the improvement in comparison to earlier books in the series. The plot did feel a little shallow as it was simply following their relationship with little else for side plot besides the whole housing situation, but it was still a cute book.
The body positivity in this book was great and I loved that both main characters were acknowledged as fat rather than just one main character as it’s refreshing to see male main characters that aren’t the stereotypical lean and buff body type.
Overall, I really liked this book and can see myself recommending it to fellow romance enthusiasts with a soft spot for a Hollywood centered love story!
