DNF about 30% in. I wasn’t really vibing with the male main character and the writing style. Just not for me.

***Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I have loved Olivia Dade's books about the Gods of Gates characters, but this one did not quite live up to the amazing previous installments. I loved the body positive aspect and the witty banter is always spot-on, but it felt like something was missing.

As a fan of Olivia Dade’s work and the previous two novels in this series, I was so excited to receive an advanced reader copy of this book. While I love the idea of this book - two plus side main characters, second chance romance after a one night stand, OMG they were costars - the execution really fell flat for me. The scenes when they were filming just seemed kind of odd to me, then there was a big time skip in the middle and then of course the final conflict just seemed kind of blah. There were elements I enjoyed like the mutual pining and the fact that the female main character refused to conform to expectations but overall it was a just okay romance novel.
Thank you net galley and Avon for an eARC of this book.

Olivia Dade always writes a beautiful book. While this wasn't quite a memorable as the first book in the series, it's still a great read!

I wanted to love this book so much, I really did. I am all for body positive MC's, as a full figure myself, but I find it extremely redundant and shallow to have it be one of the only repeated themes over the course of the book. The storyline was lackluster and while I always love multiple timelines this one was very incohesive. It jumped all over the place with no warning or reasoning and was very hard to follow. This rating makes me sad because I love Olivia Dade but this one was very much just not for me.

Thank you Olivia Dade, Avon and Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Maria and Peter have a one night stand only to find out that they have both been casted in the show Gods of the Gates and they are isolated on a remote island together for seven years with the crew members. As they spend the seven years trying to distant themselves, as time passes they cannot deny the connection they feel.
This book is my favorite of the Spoiler Alert trilogy. I loved watching both Peter and Maria grow in the ways they needed to to heal from past experiences. I love the body positivity and not backing down from what you believe is right.

Although I loved the first two books in this series, this one didn't hit the same. It felt like I was watching a highlights reel of the story rather than actually getting to know the characters and their emotions as the story built, which made the final conflict hard to believe. I did, however, love that both characters are fat in this book - and I would have loved it even more if Peter's body had received the same attention that Maria's did.

Olivia Dade has a knack for writing the most lovable characters! Thoroughly have enjoyed all of her books and this one is no different.

Golly gee, what can I say about the wonderful Olivia Dade? The author of Spoiler Alert and All The Feels has written a fabulous third book in her Gods of the Gates series— Ship Wrecked. What I love about the characters Dade writes in this book (well, in all her books), is their confidence and resilience; she writes very well-rounded human characters. The fun banter between Maria and Peter, plus the 6 year slow burn crush and the explosive chemistry. Yeah, this book was a 3.5 stars! But since i can’t give that, 4 stars!

I loved this!!! I love how BOTH main characters are plus sized!! Yes to more men not having wash board abs (yawnnnn). In true Dad fashion the female main character was headstrong and unapologetically her! I love the chemistry and when two people just can not stop themselves from physically touching. I struggled with the first book in this series and even though you can read them as standalone, like always, I would suggest you read them in order. If to only get used to her writing style, Its not crazy or anything but I had a hard time being drawn in when I first start reading BUT once I am... its game time because I fall in love!!!! Also as someone who doesn't have a kid I love a story that doesn't end in pregnancy or children. All lifestyles represented!!!

Maria and Peter have a one-night stand. It was a mind-blowing night that neither of them will forget any time soon. However, when Peter wakes up the next morning, Maria is gone.
Little do either of them know, they're about to meet again in the most unexpected way. Maria and Peter are both cast as characters in the show Gods of the Gates and the best part--they will be spending the next seven years isolated on a remote island together. The only other people with them are the crew members.
Peter is still hurt from Maria's abrupt departure after their night together and her attempts at apologizing are mostly dismissed. However, as time passes and their characters become more involved on-screen, Maria and Peter can't help but feel the connection they had that night.
Ship Wrecked is the final (?) book of the Spoiler Alert series. While I'm sad the series is over, I think this book really helped tie everything together. One of my favorite scenes is when all of the cast we've met throughout the series finally meet each other. My only issue with this book was the scene where Peter does not take Maria's side after she is faced with the prospect of being forced to change her body for the show. I already wasn't sure if I truly liked Peter, but when this happens it was a huge factor in his likability. Overall, there were some great tension scenes and Peter somewhat redeems himself.

This is a really well done romance with two flawed, complicated, relatable main characters. I really enjoyed the development of their friendship plus the pining and unspoken feelings. Both characters have to reckon with getting past their own hangups and ideas of how they "should" live their lives to get to the HEA. I think the best part of this book is the outstanding body positivity. I thought it was even better than books 1 and 2 in this series. The hurdles to the relationship are mental and emotional, not physical. Both characters are comfortable in their own skin, and I loved that. I'm probably not as into the tv show fandom side of this series as other readers (I never watched GOT) but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story.

I'm writing this now because the strike is over. This one wasn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed it. I wasn't a fan of the FMC tho. I admired her for the way she felt about her rights and the way her body was shown, but I didn't like the way everything was her way or no way when dealing with the MMC. She never compromised with him and it was annoying. He deserved to be seen too.

The pacing of this book was off. Immediately a lot of action but then long drags of nothing. Made it hard to maintain interest. The plus size MC was represented well in her stance to not conform to societal standards but it kind of leans so hard into it that it loses some of its specialty- boarder line made the FMC a modern plus size trope.

A delight of a book. Dade always writes diverse, body positive heroines and it was refreshing to see the same characteristics in the hero.

RATING: 3/5 STARS
Loved the body-positivity and celebrity vibes, and this is one of the most beautiful romance covers I've seen (reminiscent of old historical clutch covers but totally modern). I wanted to like this book more, but I felt kinda "eh" about it.

Following Spoiler Alert and All the Feels, Ship Wrecked is the latest installment in Olivia Dade's universe of romance novels set in and around the tv show Gods of the Gates. A thinly veiled fictional Game of Thrones, the fake-not-fake tv show looms large in this one, as multiple plot points hinge on the two characters' storylines on the show, them shooting with a small crew on a remote island, and their relationships with the show's creators/the film industry at large. Main characters Maria and Peter were richly built, I liked the secondary characters a lot, and the setting was cool. But something about how the plot unfolded over several years, with we as readers dipping in and out and being told how things happened rather than seeing them for ourselves, kept me from feeling super invested in the development of the relationship and its eventual conflict/resolution. Appreciate fat rep in romance though, and loved the middle finger Maria was always prepared to give Hollywood!

My first Olivia Dade book and let me just say 🥵🥵
I loved it so much!! And this book is not sad at all but why did I shed a few tears?!?!!
I completely recommend this book if you haven’t read anything by this author yet, it would make you feel at the warmth that good book can make you feel💌

I wanted to like this story, but I found it to be just meh. In the other stories of the series, the characters had more depth and inner dialogue. There were back stories and dimension to each character. In Ship Wrecked, I found the characters main purpose is to have sex with each other and to get through a very long movie journey to be together. I just couldn't wait to finish it.
Thank you Netgalley and Avon Harper Voyager for providing me with an advanced copy.

This one was just okay. I definitely enjoyed the first two books in this series more than this one. The flow of the story just felt a little off and some times the timing was wrong for me. The characters saved the book overall as I found them relatable in some aspects.
