“The Golden Ellipse” gives a history of the ellipse that starts in 90,000 bc when the ellipse is concealed to protect it from the hominid species. 1944ad finds that a German spy has found and stolen the ellipse. Why? When the predatory universe discovers that the beacon is silent, earth is now “open season.” In 2044: a honeymoon couple Rachel and Owen Haig are abducted by a ghost from Rachel’s past. The ghost has them traveling across North Africa where through a maze under neath the Giza Plateau, they clash with a psycho Egyptologist an an alien presence as invasion fleets appear in the sky. Includes an excerpt from “THE LOST SHIP,” Book two in “The Powers That Be series.”

This novel is a science fiction novel that is also a mystery. It’s not a quick read. I found it to be intriguing as I began to understand the book. The book is the first story of the series “The Powers That Be.” This is a book for readers of science fiction.

Meh, this one just wasn’t for me. It was a very long book with lots of different history. I was a bit thrown off by all the essential prologues/ time frames in the beginning. It felt like each era could’ve been delved into and expanded into its own book. Instead there is so much info thrown at you right off the hop.
Definitely one for folks who enjoy in depth, multi character, sciencey sci fi, and alternate history books.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Hopart Publishing for a copy.
