Absolutely well researched topic, that touches an important social and political issue in America.
It was sometimes hard to read some passages without feel biased in my own position on the matter, but it's for sure a book that opens a debate on the topic, letting both sides speaking.

"On Target" is about the techniques used be the National Rifle Association and its associated groups to convince people that the personal use of guns is necessary. The strategies are clever and the use of media is profound. I learned a lot in reading this book, even though it was not an easy read.

I was thoroughly impressed to see how well researched and footnoted this book is. The writing is sold and for an academic book it had a nice voice, but I have to admit after a few chapters I couldn't stay focused. This is not due to the author or the content but because it is summer and I want something more lighthearted, But let me reiterate that this book is very well done and I enjoyed having the opportunity to look at it.
