I looove Italian food and have been trying to find more traditional recipes that haven't been changed by other cultures or countries. This was a great source for me and I enjoyed all the pictures!

Mi piace! I am literally RUNNING to my kitchen to cook!! This cookbook is so great! It’s beautifully laid out with photos for almost every recipe and it reminds me of my childhood, growing up in an Italian household with the most delicious food. You look at the pages of this cookbook and just feel the comfort of your family sitting around the table eating dinner each night and your grandmothers delicious sauce over the pasta you ate, pretty much daily. This book has all the classic dishes I grew up loving (maybe minus the polenta) and more! Definitely a book to check out if you’re looking for classic Italian recipes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Harper Horizon and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!

I love Italian recipes, I’m Italian American like this cookbook’s author and this appealed to me immediately.
The cookbook teaches you recipes for homemade pasta that sound amazing but that I’m not likely to make (I love the idea of fresh pasta but even gnocchi intimates me at times) but immediately follows the homemade pasta recipes with homemade sauce recipes that sound shockingly fast. I was bookmarking sauce recipes left and right. I definitely get in the habit of making all day sauces and this book makes me feel like I must try some of these quicker sauce recipes too!
The appetizers like stuffed mushrooms and peppers look delicious too.
The eggplant balls sound unique and delicious too.
The soup and salad section looks very good. There’s even a soup with fresh burrata on top.
I loved the pictures thar I did see, the photo quality is beautiful. I didn’t see a ton of pictures in my early ebook edition from NetGalley, it seems like some of the picture files didn’t come in properly.
I love the variety of recipes and courses in this Cookbook and I can’t wait to try some of the recipes myself.

I received an advance digital copy of Cooking With Nonna in exchange for an honest review.

“Cooking With Nonna” is a delightful cookbook. What first caught my attention was in the introduction, where the reader was encouraged to make each recipe their own. Cooking is a very personal activity for me, and while I enjoy following recipes, I do also like to be creative and tweak them every once in awhile. I liked that this was acknowledged and seen as something positive.

Along with the wonderful recipes included, the author shared stories of the recipes her Nonna shared with her, and the memories behind these recipes. The book is organized by course, and very easy to follow and locate a meal idea. I found myself noting many recipes that I’d like to try out. And the family connection expressed throughout the cookbook, inspired me to find recipes in here that I could make together with my mom.

This is a fantastic cookbook full of delicious Italian recipes and fun stories about the author's precious memories of her nonna's cooking. There are tons of tasty dishes to try, from traditional pasta dishes to Italian American desserts. I especially enjoyed reading about how Nonna would make delicious homemade alternatives to junk foods that the author craved.

This is a nice recipe book.

There's a variety of recipes from sides, breads, soups, drinks, and desserts. The recipes are in cups and there's some nice pictures throughout the book. The author talks about what the recipes mean to her family. Some of the recipes are pretty standard Italian recipes. While the recipes are approachable, nothing really wowed me.

If you weren’t blessed with your own Nonna than you absolutely need this cookbook. Or if you are just missing your Nonna this is the book for you too.

These are authentic Italian American recipes that really center around family suppers. My favorite part were the Nonna notes because everyone knows Nonna knows best.

Cooking with Nonna is a book of Italian essentials with a handful of more adventurous recipes, I think, which is exactly what I like in an Italian cookbook with Nonna in the title. I don't want your classics-with-a-twist, I want whatever Nonna's making and has probably been making since before I was a thought. That isn't to say there aren't some recipes that sound like they might've gotten a more recent twist, but then I'm not mad at any nontraditional cookie that calls for Nutella "as needed."

I loved the photos, I only wish there were more of them. I'm delighted to have so many options available now for using up all that Campari in my cabinet. So much to love in this cookbook. After reading all of Nonna's stories, you'll find it impossible not to love her too.

I absolutely love Italian food, and I had my very own Nonna before she sadly passed, so when I saw the title of this book, I knew I needed to read it! I’m so glad I did - I LOVED it. I found myself bookmarking every other page, saying “I want to make that” to each one. Each recipe has clear, concise step by step instructions with accompanying photographs to guide you through, as well as ‘Nonna’s Tips’. They are made up from simple, accessible, yet delicious ingredients, and bring a real, authentic taste of Italy to your own kitchen. I would recommend this to any food lover!

Sunday Dinners are not just an Italian thing they are most certainly an Australian thing as well. And we all love Sunday Lunch at Mum's as it is a time for catching up over great food.

This book celebrates just that and with beautiful, colorful step-by-step photographs and some pretty tasty recipes it will certainly help you cook the best Italian Sunday Lunch ever.

The recipes are easy-to-follow and I can't wait to try them out as they are just the thing I need to add to my varied collection of family favourites.
