I genuinely found it so difficult to read this book. I know Christmas books are meant to be cheesey but this one was off the scale. Was not a fan

I love the fake relationship trope and this one was definitely worth the read. I like that it has a spicy books sticker on the front because I really love the spicy books. I'll definitely be reading more of Cassie Connor in the future!

I had a hard time warming into the FMC perspective after a point. This was steamier than I thought it would be. Overall it was cute and worth a read.

I didn’t rate this one on Amazon since it was a three star for me.

4⭐, 3🌶️

Ahh a good one-night stand turned fake dating relationship! This book gave Thanksgiving and Christmas-y romance vibes which I loved having read the week before Thanksgiving, and while Rebecca wasn't my favorite kind of FMC, I loved the black cat, golden retriever relationship she had with Connor. This was a nice and enjoyable romance!

Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins UK - One More Chapter for an eARC of Love Under Contract by Cassie Connor This is my honest and free review (I also apologize immensely for this being so pathetically late after publishing 😅)

"Love Under Contract" by Cassie Connor is a delightful and enchanting romantic escapade that will whisk you away into a world of contracts, chemistry, and heartwarming surprises.

Rebecca Madison, a brilliant and assertive lawyer, excels in her career but hasn't found the path to happily ever after in her personal life. The annual family Thanksgiving gathering is on the horizon, and with it comes the dreaded question of why she's still single. With a chance one-night stand leading to a tantalisng idea, Rebecca decides to hire Mr. One Night as her Mr. Right just for the holidays. A contract is drawn up, complete with strict rules – no kissing, no sex, and definitely no emotional attachment.

Connor crafts a story that combines humor and romance, adding a twist to the typical holiday romance tale. The journey of Rebecca and her holiday companion, rife with humor and unexpected emotions, keeps readers engaged and entertained. The ironclad contract becomes the backdrop for a delightful exploration of whether it's possible to maintain distance when love and attraction are involved.

The characters are well-drawn and relatable, with Rebecca's determination and vulnerability shining through. The chemistry between the two leads is palpable, making their journey an enjoyable and captivating one.

"Love Under Contract" is a charming reminder that love can often be found where you least expect it. Connor's storytelling blends humor and heart, offering a lighthearted escape that explores the complexities of human emotions and relationships. As Rebecca navigates the treacherous waters of her fake relationship, she discovers that some things can't be controlled by a contract.

This book is a must-read for those who love a dose of romance, laughter, and a reminder that love has a way of surprising us when we least anticipate it. Cassie Connor's narrative is a delightful journey of personal discovery and the many facets of love.

Fake dating is my favourite trope, and I love books set around Thanksgiving, It's a really cosy time of year, and I love the vibes of food and family it brings with it,

It did however feel odd to have a British author writing about Thanksgiving, although it was written well.

I read this book after a few thrillers as I needed something a little more light-hearted but I didn't expect to love it so much!

Rebecca Madison is a 33-year-old London-based contract lawyer and has just found out that her younger sister is engaged - to her ex-boyfriend. She meets 29-year-old furniture designer Hudson in a hotel lobby and after a one-night-stand she discovers he is in a bit of a predicament.

Rebecca is expected to attend Thanksgiving/an engagement party at her family's home in New York and, wanting to save face, draws up a contract inviting Hudson to act as her boyfriend on the trip and she will help him out with his issues.

We all know where this is going and I have always said I don't like spicy scenes just for the sake of it (and this book has a lot of spice!) but it was there for a reason. We see massive character development with Rebecca and you could feel her cool and collected exterior chip away as she spent more time with Hudson and each of their families. A really lovely read!

This book was okay. I didn't love it but didn't hate it. I think it had potential but didn't quite get there. At least not for me. Thanks for the opportunity to read it!

This starts out with a hot one night stand and definitely pulls you in with their immediate connection. But a lot of their connection is just physical and I definitely wanted more emotional and heartfelt moments between the two. I feel like we didn't get to know either of them that well and I would have liked to see more individual growth.

Overall this was very steamy and a fun holiday read. There were some things I definitely didn't enjoy in the third act centered around miscommunication and especially the Hero's behavior that made me so upset and I didn't feel was addressed enough.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really loved this fake dating romance between a straight-laced contract lawyer and the woodworker one night stand she convinces to be her boyfriend for the holidays. Perfect for fans of the Wedding date movie, this was a British romance with some deliciously steamy scenes. A surprise delight I can't recommend this one enough!!

This is a good book. The two main characters are Rebecca and Hudson. They meet in a bar and have a one night stand. Rebecca is a lawyer and Hudson is a furniture maker. Rebecca needs Hudson to be her her fake boyfriend when she goes home for Thanksgiving. She sets up a contract, offers money to Hudson and get Hudson to sign it. There is an attraction between them. They keep apart from one another. They fall in love.

😍😍😍 this was a fun, light hearted, steamy romcom!! It started off with a bang right away, and got right to business with this fake dating story! I really enjoyed seeing them with both families and how different the families were. I loved getting to know Hudson’s sisters and really want books for them! The only thing missing was Hudson’s pov!

Thank you so much Harper Collins and Netgalley for my gifted arc in exchange for an honest review.

Main character, Rebecca, needs a boyfriend to take home for Thanksgiving. Possible boyfriend, Hudson, needs a loan to recover from a work issue.
Can lawyer Rebecca help him while he helps her?
I loved the humor and banter between the two.
The spice level of the story is high.
If you can take the spice….this is a fun holiday romance.

I love fake dating tropes, especially at the holidays. I didn't get to this one during Christmas time like I had hoped, but it was just as good after the fact! I loved the characters and the steamy scenes!

This was a fun and entertaining romance. The characters are so well done, and the plot was funny . She’s a lawyer who meets a hot furniture maker, and she needs a contract for everything, including visits home. It’s a great book to read when you need to put a smile on your face!
