One easy to digest book about bees, bumblebees in this case. How they grow up, works, hatch and their duties. It was all made interesting with the cute illustrations, and the cheery colors provided. This book is suitable for kids who are curious about nature and already in elementary school.

I like that this one does more than just educate about the role of bees in the environment. We learn all of the different "jobs" bees play in the hive. There are a lot of bee books out there but this one holds it's own.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Loving these "Really Wild Families" books, including this great one on Bees. Great story about a bee and excellent information in the back about bees.

Thanks to Quarto and Netgalley for the ARC of this!

We love learning about bees and were ready to start diving in more with my Kindergartener. This was very cute, with not too much text, and easy to understand information. Perfect for the PreK-1st set to have a first look at bees and pollinators.

My niece was a little small to read this herself however SHE LOVED IT! It was nice to read her a book that taught her something as well as told her a story. The artwork is also really lovely. I thought it would just be a picture book so it was a lovely surprise

This book is so clever! It gives great facts about bees but presents the facts as a story with cartoon illustrations. The story is a bit long, but covers a lot of information about bumble bees.

The end of the book has some great extras as well including fun facts, games, additional information about pollination, a cute little bumblebee craft, and a quiz!

This would be a great book for 1st-4th graders.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review

Were you looking for some screentime alternative for your little one? This book helped me!

It is an interactive book about the different types of bees, their everyday life, growth stages, and more. It has beautiful, colorful illustrations that will hook your kids. It contains paper art activities, quizzes, and more to keep learning entertaining!

It is a great activity book to keep your little ones away from screentime for all ages. Mine did!

Thank you, NetGalley and QEB Publishing, for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Little Bee is a cute informational text about bees. We learn about the different types of honey bees including the queen, drones, and worker bees. We see the development of baby bees. The illustrations are cute and the diagrams are helpful. I can see this as a great tool for young elementary grades. Thank you to #netgalley for giving me a copy of this book.

This is a cute book to introduce bees to kids with great illustrations. It's very informative and does a nice job of describing what each bee does and the different types. I love the bonus activities and quizzes that are included at the end.

I was really surprised at how good this book was! I assumed it would be a little short picture book for a toddler, but it was so much more than that! It is a really beautiful, brightly coloured book which is jam packed full of interesting information and knowledge about bees.

My daughter and I absolutely loved it, and we learned so much information that we didn't already know. We found it all so fascinating, and we loved the beautiful graphics, which were outstanding. We loved and enjoyed reading about little bee and her family, and how they all take care of their nest and babies, and how they go out to find food. Other subjects included in this awesome book are pollination, different types of bees, the queen bee, how the bees communicate and why bees are important There is also fun activity sections at the end of the book, which will keep you and your little ones busy!

This is an amazing book, which I highly recommend!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

I really like this book! Little Bee tells the story of a day in the life of a young bee as told by the bee. She explains the world around her such as the nectar and pollination process, the interactions of her family group and the queen, and adaptations of behaviours that are essential for bees' survival. Author, Anna Brett, merges the world of fiction and non-fiction in a way that is educational but also interesting and enjoyable for young children. This book is written in a way that is relatively easy to follow and comprehend and does not include a lot of scientific vocabulary or concepts, yet still teaches a significant amount of information about the animal. As a result, this book could be used for research and learning about bees, but also would fit right in with other picture book favourites on a book shelf or in a classroom library. The story ends with several pages of non-fiction information about the facts from the story as well as games, activities and suggestions of crafts or other learning opportunities aimed at young readers. As a Grade 3 teacher I could definitely see this book in my classroom library. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers of children in the age 4-10 range. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

Little Bee was a great non fiction book for little kids. My three year old has recently taken interest in bugs, and found the illustrations in little bee to be fun and engaging. The information about bees was presented in a way that he could understand, through both the words and the pictures. I also loved the extra facts and real pictures at the end of the book! This would be a great addition to a classroom or home library for bug experts in the making!

The cover of this children’s book drew me right in. The bee looks so friendly and happy. Open the pages of this delightfully illustrated book with a young nature lover or a child who fears bees; they may well feel braver after spending time with this title and understanding a bee’s life.

This book is packed with information. Children will discover what a day in the life of a bee looks like, how bees are born, the differing roles for girl and boy bees and more. At the end of this title, there are additional facts, some puzzles and crafts, and a quiz.

One comment-I was struck by how different the lives of the boy and girl bees were, to say nothing of the number of “babies” a queen bee has. There might be a bit of room here to discuss how bees and people are different in their choices. Just a thought.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto-QEB publishing for this title. All opinions are my own.

OMG! The illustrated bees are so cute.

There are a lot of fun facts built into this picture book. It was fun to learn about the life-cycle of the bee and how the hive works. This is a great introduction to bees and why they are so important to the world.

A great addition to and classroom or library.

This is the second book I've read of the Really Wild Family Series and would highly recommended it to any wildlife lover. The illustrator does such a perfect job of translating the authors words into pictures.

The story follows a little baby bee who is describing the life of a bee. It goes through all of the jobs and their duties. Even though this is a children's book, I learned a lot about bees too. I'd highly recommend the books from this series to any wildlife lover.

Thank you so much to QEB publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to review this ARC. I truly do love this book and would purchase this for my own family.

Little Bee is a Children's picture book where we follow Little Bee, a bumblebee, basically from birth on his adventures!

The artwork used throughout the cover and the pages is really great. It's inviting, cute, and my toddler smiles at it when we read.

Throughout the pages we learn about the different types of bees: the Queen, the worker bees, nurse bees, etc. It was an easy explanation for kids to learn about the types of bees as well as for adults to learn a bit more about bees. Learning about how the queen lays eggs, to the nectar in pots, as well as collecting pollen was a fun read!

At the end there is information about bees and fun facts which is nice, as well as some photos of bees, there's even some fun activities for kids to do.

5 Stars. Would recommend. It's a great read, as well as I could see using it alongside homeschooling or with classroom curriculum.

Thanks to the publisher, Quarto Publishing Group – QEB Publishing, the author, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy to read and review. Review will also be posted to my blog (www.kagoodsell.com/book-reviews), GoodReads, TikTok (@unearthingeco), as well as NetGalley reviews.

The charming bee on the cover made me want to read this book and I'm glad I did! I'm very impressed with this book. Little Bee introduces us to her family and explains what goes on inside her nest. We learn about the different types of bees: workers, drones, queens. This book is well written with thorough descriptions and it's packed full of educational materials. The adorable illustrations elevate this book to the next level. I loved all the activities, fun facts and games at the end of the book.

Both my children learn faster using multi-sensory learning. So, I appreciated the games and crafts section, so the kids could dive in and get their hands dirty. I'm looking forward to more A Day in the Life books.

Thank you, NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group, for providing me with a digital ARC for an honest review.
