I really enjoyed previous books from this author but this novel was a little wordy and boring. It was fine but nothing I’ll really remember. Thank you netgalley for my free copy.

A sweet and tension-filled love story. I wanted to like this one more than I did, but I struggled with a few pet peeves that took away from my overall enjoyment

I couldn't get enough of this story. It's a really sweet and loving read. Samantha Young never disappoints her readers.

I Really loved it and Highly Recommend it to all Readers.

I'll say right off the bat that I don't enjoy romances with FMCs who largely pride themselves on being "not like other girls," which was, unfortunately, how Hallie comes off in this book. That said, this was cute and fun to read, and I'm always a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers story.

Hallie & Chris
Hallie accidentally, but not really, watches private videos that Chris recorded for his girlfriend, Darcy, who also happens to be Hallie's client....who is now marrying someone else. She sends her own videos back to him in an effort to apologize and just relieve her family frustations, but she doesn't think he's watched them when they first meet, and guess what, he doesn't tell her right away, so how about we start this relationship out on a lie...seems like a great idea to me.

Hallie is often stereotyped as a party girl because she has pink hair and is an event planner, which made no sense to me. She was really sweet and someone I'd want to hang out with for sure. I just wish she would've stood up for herself more.
Chris is back from space and plans to write an autobiography in an effort to promote his work with NASA. I thought he was sweet at times, too, when he wasn't bugging me with the Darcy crap.
There was no denying their chemistry, but, not surprisingly, the miscommunication was for the birds.

Both of Hallie's parents and Chris's dad were pretty awful. Sometimes you have to cut toxic people out of your life even if they're your parents. On the flip side Chris's Aunt Richelle was an absolute doll. Hallie's friend, Althea, was pretty great and supportive, too.

It was a bit slow moving and bogged down with all the family and friend drama, which overpowered the story, but overall it was fun. And isn't that cover so eye catching?

I loved the space theme and all the twists and turns. I loved the humor and the world building and will be reading more of Young in the future!

This love story was so incredibly cute I couldn't help but to the drawn into it. I love that Hallie and Chris got to know each other in a rather round-about way, through videos. It's almost as if two wandering souls found each other in the midst of uncertainty and let face-it dysfunctional families. These characters were actually more realistic than some, which didn't annoy me in the slightest bit. It's Chris is the laid back perfectly imperfect can do no wrong (unless you ask his father type) and Hallie is a people pleaser who eventually finds her voice, even after a few embarrassing mishaps. If there was a sequel to this love story, I would DEFINITELY read it.

This book was painful for me to get into and enjoy. It felt unnecessarily long and was overall underwhelming compared to the concept's potential.

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC of A Cosmic Kind of Love!

I'll be honest and say the first thing about this book that caught my attention was the cover and the title. I think the cover is super cute and the title really drew me in.

I really liked both of the main characters, Hallie and Chris. I loved the idea of Hallie emailing Chris thinking he isn't getting the emails but he actually is and wants to meet her because he is interested. I could totally see this happening IRL honestly and it made me really excited for them. I love that they do eventually meet and hit it off but Chris gets an offer to continue his NASA career and you don't know if they will continue what seems to be started.

I really enjoyed this book, even more than I thought I would. I can't wait to read more by Samantha Young!

After event planner Hallie accidentally watches the digital diary astronaut Chris sent his now ex-girlfriend and her current client, she appeases her guilt by sending her own videos to his NASA email address. When the emails bounce back, Hallie keeps sending thing - not realizing that Chris has actually seen her videos.

I love Samatha Young’s books, and this was no exception. It was a super weird premise, but it was fun.

I loved this, but I seem to love everything she writes. The characters were sweet and the story was interesting, I hadn't read anything like it.

A Cosmic Kind of Love is a new romance book by Samantha Young and also my first book by her. I must say she writes the best romance.

In this book, we come across Hallie Goodman who is an event planner. She has had bad luck in the choosing right boy for herself. So now she is more focused on her work in organizing the engagement party of a rich New Yorker, Darcy. For decor inspiration, Hallie asks her about some aesthetics, but accidentally she also sends Hallie a few private video messages from ex-astronaut Christopher Ortiz (ex of Darcy).

Further, into the story, Hallie tries contacting Chris but he ignores her and moves on. at some point, things change and start working out.
If you love reading romance, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to read this one.

This book was very simple yet elegant. I loved it so much that I couldn't stop reading it. Not only was the romance amazing and fun, but the main characters Hallie and Chris were just WOW! 🤌🏻 I enjoyed Hallie’s journey a lot, she just became my best friend in the entire world. In real life, she would totally be my go-to best friend. I could relate to her easily and understand her attraction to Christopher. I just want to meet her!! LOL!! The romance between Hallie and Christopher is a slow burn but very intense.

It is like a modern-day fairytale but didn't feel like it was too cheesy or overdone. Everything was just right and perfect. This is a life-changing romance for good.

I don't think I've ever read a book (at least not a romance) where the hero is an astronaut.

Hallie and Chris meet before they actually meet, through videos neither know the other is watching. And I loved the way the author handled this, both as a part of the story and how she has the characters deal with it. It felt real, authentic, and adult.

I think that's what I liked most about this book. The drama is there, but it feels like it's real life and not manufactured. It makes the chara look easy to relate to and their situations feel true to what might happen to actual people.

I also thought the way Chris having a Latinx background but feeling cut off from it was interesting. I also think this is something that probably happens to more people than I would expect and the idea of this, the way it was developed and explored was interesting and thought provoking.

All this is not to say this isn't a romance. It definitely is and as you get to know Chris and Hallie, you also watch them as they get together and try to navigate a couple of missteps along the way. Their chemistry and connection is strong and believable.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Firstly, it's the boundary crossing of it all. She's watching love letter videos sent from space that a client accidentally sent from her ex AND REPLYING TO THEM. He's seeing the replies and having them bounce back as if undeliverable so she starts using it as a 'diary'. Both of them seeing things not meant for their eyes and just... ewww.

Also our MC Hallie is a hot dang mess. I cannot with her. I'm sure her character growth is part of the whole process of the book but honestly I can't bear to watch it anymore. She's mortifyingly clumsy and an absolute doormat and I'm just not interested.

I will talk about this on my bookstagram account after Ramadan is over. This is perfect for fans of Ali Hazelwood or anyone who likes to read about scientists in love.

Hallie already adores Chris, astronaut Chris, ex of her current client. Little does she know that while she's been viewing his videos, (sent to her client when they were still together), he's also been viewing her video responses to them. It seems this pair is destined by the stars to be together. But it will be a slow burn journey for these two friends because Chris cannot tell her how he feels until he's on sure footing on planet Earth. Coming back to civilization has been a ride for him and he's still not sure where his life is heading. Until then, he'll just have to be friends with his lovely Hallie.

I love Hallie and Chris! Two more opposites couldn't possibly be more perfect for each other. She's a sweet people-pleaser with major family issues who hates confrontation. He's a serious astronaut with his own family-induced baggage who is just trying to find his way back on terra firma. Though their story is truly slow burn, it has so much heart, and more than its fair share of heat, that I couldn't help but swoon as this Captain gently wooed his adorable event planner.

This was an adorable book. I loved Hallie‘s quirky personality and how easygoing Chris was. There was more to this book than just romance. Both of the main characters had issues within their own lives that they had to confront. Most of this book was the delightful. I did hit a point where I thought it was being dragged out a little too long but it didn’t really inhibit my overall experience.

First off, I LOVE covers like this! Guilty for buying a book for its cover

This one took me a little longer to read than I had hoped. It’s sweet and fluffy, feel good romance. I just haven’t been in the mood for that, I guess. A classic case of it’s not you it’s me!

-opposites attract
-unique careers
-goofy girl meets eligible bachelor

These two characters were great. Friends to lovers all the way. For me, I prefer enemies to lovers (lol) but these two hit it off so well it worked for me with the uniqueness of the plot.

This was cute! Definitely recommend!
