I enjoyed the premise of this book, and having some insight into how someone can stop to care about themselves and end up at 600+ lbs. It is very easier for outsiders to judge, so I thought it was great that Sean Mulroney has written this book and opened my (and hopefully others') eyes into the plight of obesity, and all of the other issues Sean suffered with. I'm all for raising awareness of issues such as these. Unfortunately, I don’t think Mulroney is a natural writer and this was hard to read at times, as it was repetitive and at times had unnecessary detail.

Well done, author Sean Mulroney, for your perseverance and strength as you worked through challenges that have destroyed many others. And well done for creating .a book that is honest, humble, open and inspiring.

Sean Mulroney’s memoir shares the struggles of his life. He had problems from the start- his father died and his much older brothers and sisters brought him along to parties where drugs and alcohol were in abundance. Sean had issues with his step-father after his Mom remarried. Sean abused drugs and did poorly in school. He seemed destined to fail

But, he met some friends who turned his heart toward God and Jesus and he married a wonderful woman. He completed Bible College and began to advocate for teenagers. His life became one of purpose and joy. But other challenges awaited him.

Sean shares his story of struggles in an appealing way and I am glad that I got to know him through us book. Thanks to NetGalley and Books Go Social for a review copy. This is my honest review.

Sean Mulroney is a survivor, and his book, Becoming Larger Than Life: Addressing the Elephant in the Room details how he survived a life of sexual abuse, substance abuse, and food addiction, through his belief in God, the love of his wife and daughters, and with the help of trainer Brandon Glore.

Sean's story is highly motivating, and his lifelong effort to help others is truly inspirational. I admire trainer Brandon's dedication to helping morbidly obese individuals become healthier through nutrition and exercise. The book tells of how Sean's online presence through The Obesity Revolution website and Teens of America organization came to be and developed over the years. Mr. Mulroney's book is an effective sales pitch for membership in the TOR program and for Glore's upcoming book.

Thank you to Netgalley, Sean Mulroney and EG Media Group for the digitalcopy of Becoming Larger than Life. The opinions in this review are my own.

This dear reader is a story of faith, struggle, perseverance and the will to move forward amidst the highs and lows of life.
Sean shares his story with candor. The honesty of his words paint a picture that could have easily made any one of us give up.
As Sean awaits the birth of his third daughter he realizes that at six hundred pounds he might not have the chance of seeing her grow up. Time was of the essence, changes needed to be made but with his inability to ambulate and being nearly home bound, where would he begin? With numerous phones calls to area gyms and trainers that rejected this opportunity to help, Sean was at a turning point. With the decision to make just one more phone call, Sean reached out to Brandon Glore and at that moment their lives and those that faced the same issue would be saved.
Sean guides us through years of trauma and abuse and the endurance he found through the gift of faith. Finding Brandon and wonderful medical professionals, Sean would learn of the contributors to his obesity; emotionally, physically, psychologically and physiologically,
Sean’s message is not one of only triumph it is one of education and understanding. It opens our eyes to see how the world can often view obese individuals and the help that is needed by the medical community to help them on their journey to health and wellness.
Thanks to NetGalley, Sean Mulroney and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest book review.
