Very adorable story of how to handle someone with an imagination greater than their reality. Great for children who have big imaginations!

Rainbow Fish is so nostalgic for me. I'm so happy to see these stories still swimming along.

I love that instead of isolating Humbert for his elaborate tales, he becomes appreciated and involved in the group of fish as a storyteller. This is a great lesson.

This book is amazing. it’s a good way to teach kids about not judging people or making assumptions before asking. The only thing i would change was how complex the words may be for younger children.

Another great read in the Rainbow Fish series. As always, the beautiful illustrations will captivate children in the 2–7-year-old range. While the story itself teaches that you don't have to tell tall tales to be liked, accepted, or even admired by others, especially your friends. A great lesson for every child to learn and come to appreciate.

Rainbow Fish and the Storyteller is a lovely read for young ones. As with all the other Rainbow Fish stories, this tale has the common theme of acceptance, truth and friendship. It would be a lovely addition to any home library.

The Rainbow Fish stories have always been favourites in my family. This story has a character that is telling tall tales and the group of friends gather together to figure out a plan. There is a good message in this one, but it isn't my favourite Rainbow Fish story.

My kiddos, my biological children and my students, all love the rainbow fish! They will be over the moon to read another book featuring their friend. This is a cute story that's almost a take on the boy who cried wolf, which is a story many kids haven't read and isn't quite relevant to their lives today. I loved this book because the fishes learn that it's great to have an imagination and makeup fantastic exaggerated stories, but make sure you are telling those tales at the right time and place. What a cute book for little kids!

Thanks to Net Galley for allowing me a sneak peak of this new book!

This is such a cute and emotional story. It teaches that you can’t always trust what other people say because many times they like to make up stories. It’s up to us to balance what’s true and what’s fake and go from there.
The illustrations are very beautiful and it’s a nice story that many children will enjoy.

Rainbow Fish and the Storyteller is a new take on 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' ... brilliantly done with characters that our children already know and love! The illustrations are beautiful and so vibrant and colorful. My daughter loves the original Rainbow Fish story and this will be the perfect addition to her collection.

This was such a cute book! It had a great message about making friends and not telling lies to get their attention. The illustrations were beautiful and I absolutely loved all the bright colors. It was a really fun read and I think it would be great to have in a classroom library.

Kiddo (8) read it with me and enjoyed it a lot. He thought the illustrations were beautiful. He read the text out loud to me and had no problems with understanding it. He also found the idea of a plug at the bottom of the sea very funny.

I especially liked how Rainbow Fish realized Humbert was lonely and worked with him to find a way for him to use his storytelling abilities for good to make friends rather than pushing them away with lies.

I read this book to my little five-year old cousin. She's still learning English as she was born in a different country where English was not the native language. She loves the colors and pointing at the fish, but I don't think she understood the message of the story. I, on the other hand as a full grown adult who knows English, thought this was a very cute story with a few messages.

1. It's hard to make friends sometimes. When some people (or fish) want to make friends, they might put on a different personality to become more likeable.
2. Don't lie when making friends.
3. Forgiveness is key to building a strong friendship!

The only minor thing I would point out is that there's a couple of white pages with just text on them. I felt like maybe some additional background imagery could have helpful to fill up the space.

Overall, cute read for the little ones.

Rainbow Fish and the Storyteller is another fabulous story featuring Rainbow Fish. Lovers of this character will enjoy his new friend, Humbert. Meeting new friends can be tricky, but it is especially tricky with Humbert because he likes to make up tall-tales and share them with others. However, there is a problem because Humbert tells these tall-tales as if they are true stories. This story would act as a wonderful catalyst to begin talking with young people about tall-tales and other stories or things people say that might not be true. Look at how Rainbow Fish handled the situation and ask them how they would act in a similar situation. The illustrations are brilliantly beautiful as always.

I read this to my 4 years old and ask him what he learnt from it. He understood the message of the book: don’t say lies, but I think an older kid would probably even get the full message: use your skills for something good. I liked how the whale made an appearance.

Rainbow Fish and the Storyteller is a must add to your collection!

Rainbow Fish meets a new friend Humbert but is not sure what to think about him. Humbert is a grand storyteller and he spins a tale to Rainbow Fish and his friends that they find hard to believe. A plug at the bottom of the ocean...no way! Rainbow Fish and his friends are upset about Humbert's tall tales. Can they come together to devise a plan that will bring peace back into their group?

I loved Rainbow Fish as a kid & I love sharing it with my students and my own children. I was excited to read another one of his adventures. It was a good premise about not telling tall "tails" and using Herbert's great imagination for something positive.

I kind of wish they talked more about why he shouldn't make stories up and call them the truth. More along the lines of skirting the moral of "The boy who cried wolf". Overall, it was a cute colorful story that I think would entertain young children & catch their attention.

This is a great addition to the Rainbow Fish stories and it did not disappoint. It is full of vibrant colors and a great storyline.

This latest addition to the Rainbow Fish collection follows the same repetitive story structure of the other books. There’s a new fish in town who is keen to share wild stories. Do the other fish believe him or will he find his place in the group in another way?

This is a sweet and simple story. The illustrations are colorful and bright. This book will be well loved by fans of Rainbow Fish.

I read this with my youngest and she enjoyed it. This is a similar story of Chicken Little. Humbert tells lies and eventually the other fish don't want to play. Rather than exclude him the other fish find a way for him to use his story talents.

I liked that this story shows kids how to include people rather than exclude them when they are not being the nicest. Humbert wanted to be with friends.

The illustrations are colorful and beautiful.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

In this adventure with Rainbow Fish, we meet Humbert, who likes to tell tall tales! Rainbow Fish befriends him and helps him use his love of storytelling for good rather than for scaring the other fish!
This was a cute "boy who cried wolf" type story with a. nice ending. I think it would be hard for young readers to read independently because there are several big words. However, this book would make an excellent read aloud to talk about being a good friend and discussing differences between storytelling vs. telling lies.

The Rainbow Fish is a classic character, and these stories are great for younger kids. I have always loved the illustrations because they are so colorful without being distracting. In this story, everyone learns about telling stories and how outrageous they can get.

The only concern I have is that with ebook formatting, the reader is losing a lot in experience due to some common formatting mistakes (headers/footers interrupting text, etc.).
