I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Nature Activity book for Little Ones is an activity guide book for children to do with a grown up. The book is broken down into 9 sections and each one has information, ideas, games, activities to do in nature outdoors. It's a great book for ideas to do mote outdoor activities with your child or a group of children and would be perfect for anyone who does forest school with nursery aged or early years children. The book is planned out almost like lesson plans so I'd say it's more for an adult to read than to read with your child but some bits they will enjoy viewing such as the illustrations. I think I would have preferred it if the book has spaces after each section to maybe record activities you've done etc.

This book is great for parents of little ones. Getting kids to go outside can be a struggle sometimes, but with this book we are given ideas on how to make it fun, inviting, and something our kids will look forward to every day. Scavenger hunts and special places are some of the things mentioned in the book. The author goes into detail giving you categories for the ideas as well as materials and step by step instructions for implementing them.

This is a good idea book for things to do outside with very young children but it's very basic. There are color illustrations but most of them don't have to do with the activities. The activities feel a little bit like lesson plans and they're so simple you don't really need them to be turned into a common core lesson plan. It's still a nice book that will be great for figuring out what to do next outside with your little one.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

This is a great book of fun and engaging nature activities to do with children. Most are not complicated - but they're wonderful in their simplicity - most do not involved special supplies, just some space outside. Those that involve supplies are ones you likely already have at home. I really loved that most activities had clear and concise steps and materials lists.

I enjoyed the colourful illustrations, featuring children of different genders and skin colours. There are lovely sensory activities, creative, mindful activities, and great opportunities to connect with your child, or the children in your care with activities outdoors.

This book is great to have on hand for those days you might need an activity in mind to make outdoor time happen, or as a book to reference on a daily basis.

The age rating is appropriate - though many activities could still be engaging for an older child - I will be incorporating them for outdoor time with my 6 year old.

Thank you to net galley, the authour, and publisher for a reader copy.

There is no better time than right now to get outside with a little one in your life. As is so rightly pointed out in this book’s introduction, kids can benefit from nature just as is true for adults. This book is full of ideas for doing just that. And, by the way, the illustrations are incredibly cute and appealing.

Chapter headings include Learn and Grow with Nature, I Spy, Let’s Explore, Nature Arts and Crafts and more ending with Chapter 9 and Calm, Cool and Collected. There are also additional resources listed at the end of this title. So, pick a project or two and see what you think.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Zeitgeist for this title. All opinions are my own.

Shut off the electronics and go outside together. This book is a great resource book with a ton of information and fun activity ideas. Simple supply lists are given. The nature paint brush was a unique idea. This would be a great book to have during the summer!

Nature Activity Book for Little Ones is a resource to learn about different activities that you can enjoy with your younger children.

The cover artwork is adorable and I like the illustration style used throughout the cover and the pages.

Inside you'll find sections with different activity genres such as I Spy, Nature Arts & Crafts, and even Music To My Ears.

It's a great companion book if you're homeschooling or even just to enjoy nature with your kids while they're younger and at home. There's even questions to ask your kids as you explore. For us it was a helpful guide to getting more out of the experience of our hike and backyard than we had prior.

5 Stars. Would recommend. We would add this book to our collection for sure!

Thanks to the publisher, the author, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy to read and review. Review will also be posted to my blog (www.kagoodsell.com/book-reviews), GoodReads, TikTok (@unearthingeco), as well as NetGalley reviews.

(Most days I cannot handle the cuteness of reading and reviewing children's books. I am so happy actually!)

Thank you, Zietgeist Z Kids, for the advance review copy.

Honestly, I was not expecting a lot when I saw the cover for the first time. However, I am quite impressed with the contents and their presentation.

The illustration is a good surprise for me. It will amaze the young readers and keep them engaged with the activities described.

Lots of simple, fun activities to do together with the kids which the kids can perform with minimum guidance with minimum supplies. The highlight would be the bonus activity parts in each chapter.

Go for this one without thinking twice!

In today's day and age, it's SO important that children spend time outdoors rather than shutting themselves up and playing iPad games. (Yes, I recognize the irony of my daily activity being best described as: "shutting herself up and scrolling through fiction on her phone.") If I were a two to five year old child, I would highly enjoy all the activities mentioned in this book. Adorable cover. 11/10, highly recommend.
