This was a heartwarming grumpy/sunshine holiday romance featuring all our favorite Bromance Book Club friends. In this story we get to know Colton Wheeler, a famous Country Music singer and Gretchen Winthrop, a non-profit immigration lawyer. These two had an amazing one night stand at a wedding and Colton has been pining for a year after Gretchen ran off the the next morning and ghosted him.
Gretchen is forced to reach out to Colton when her brother gives her an ultimatum to get Colton on board as the face of their family Whiskey brand in exchange for a seat on their Charitable Foundation - something Gretchen has wanted for years. More than happy to see Gretchen, Colton agrees to entertain the idea if Gretchen will agree to go on a series of dates.
Full of holiday charm and lots of great chemistry, this was another win for one of my favorite romance series!! Found family, enlightened men, tons of A Christmas Carol references and LOTS of laughs. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of getting to know these romance reading guys you are MISSING out! Much thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for an advance review copy. This book will be on the top of my Christmas list this year!

Once again my dear bookish boys are back in town! I was dying to read Colton’s story for a long time ! ( I always visualized him as Jensen Ackless during my readings and he’s my second favorite character after Vlad! )
I love the idea of Bromance Book Club idea from the beginning. And as I read more books from the series, my adoration keeps growing for those characters who are best friends, closer than family. The situation they put themselves into make me laugh so hard. And each member’s own lighthearted romance story gives you so much hope, warning your heart, helping you to keep your spirits up!
This book gives great vibes of sunshine meets the grump trope! Or let’s make a correction: this is mostly a pocketful of sunshine hero meets the grinch who hates Christmas heroine!
I could give this book five stars because of sunshiny and rainbow characterization of Colton but I truly get irritated by Gretchen from the beginning. Yes, it was unacceptable for her to jump to the bones of Colton and ghosting him the very next day even though he shows his best intentions to turn this one night stand into serious relationship!
But Gretchen acted like she had stick up her arse, lecturing about inequality, unfairness, taking everything extremely serious, ignoring the fact you can choose your own family by creating your inner circle with your loved ones.
Colton struggles with his upcoming album after getting ultimatum from his recording company that forces him to work with another song writer and start recording a new album from the beginning. He also suffers from hurting ego after the rejection of a Gretchen!
Grinch Gretchen ( I liked the name choice of the author because her name truly reminds you of GRINCH) , an immigration lawyer with 10 years experience, having second thoughts about job offer she has taken from her old friend from D. C. She’s a bona fide heiress of Winthrops: one of Tennessee's richest and most influential families. But she never feels a part of family’s famous liquor brand: Carraig Aonair Whiskey.
When unexpected offer to become a member of company that will help her use funds to distribute the people suffer from poverty, she feels delighted. But the offer came with a BIG CATCH! She has to convince Colton Wheelers to become the brand ambassador of the company. Yes, the same man she jumped on during her ex Mack’s wedding and the same man she ignored his texts and calls.
When she makes the offer to Colton, he makes a counter offer: he’ll be their company star in exchange going on dates with her!
Grumpy Gretchen who is great portrait of Scrooge reluctantly accepts his offer and his efforts to help her discover the true magic of Christmas!
I loved this book! I enjoyed to see the boys in action! Colton is mud pie! Gretchen is absolutely dislikable! But the attraction, smart banters between them are still adorable! I cut one point because I hated the guts of heroine so I’m giving four Christmas magic stars!
I’m looking forward to read more books from the series!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest thoughts.

This is fine. Not as stellar as previous series books, this felt a little rough or unpolished in places, and also felt a little rushed in general. Series fans will like it fine enough, and it's ok to start this series here instead of at [book:The Bromance Book Club|44019067]. It's probably time to retire this series, and I look forward to what the author does next.
eARC from NetGalley.

*3.5 stars*
The bromance bookclub series has always been a fun one. I've read the previous four books and they all got different ratings. The 1st book was a 4 star, second was a 1 star third was a 2 star and the 4th was a 3 star. I was hoping this would be the Five star however it was about on par of the first and fourth book.
It follows Colten who is a country music star and Gretchen who's a lawyer. They meet at a mutual friends wedding and do the do however Gretchen basically leaves Colten and he can't stop thinking about her. A year later Coltens record label doesn't like his new stuff and French Gretchen comes back into his life. She has a business deal for him. He'll only accept the deal if she goes on a few dates with him. Their story goes on from there.
I thought this was pretty good. I really like Colten and Gretchen grumpy sunshine dynamic and they had good chemistry. My main issue with this book as with every other book in the series is the huge blown out conflict 80% in. Everytime it's unessasary and it makes me like the book less.

Thanks to NetGalley and Berkeley Romance, I unwrapped 𝐀 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 (PUB 11.01) for Christmas in July.
I love 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣 series. They consistently provide rollicking banter, feminist men, fierce friendships and sensational love stories. A VERY MERRY BROMANCE is all those things plus Christmas!
The latest installment features country music star Colton who is looking for a second-chance with Christmas adverse Gretchen after a one-night-stand. This story is full of holiday magic mixed with both tender, swoonworthy moments and deeper emotional oomph. My favorite scenes were the ones that included the other members of the Bromance Book Club and their partners. The moments spent together as a found-family made me laugh and warmed my heart.
While this can be a stand alone book the backstory of series regulars really adds depth. Plus- they are so darn good!

I loved this book!! I've loved all of the Bromance series and this one was no different. I love the season of Christmas and almost all the books I read during that time - I adore!!

This was a WONDERFUL addition to the Bromance books. I LOVE Lyssa Kay Adams and I am looking forward to reading everything else she writes!

I don't quite know what to make of this one. I enjoyed it at first and had high hopes for the romance, but by the end I'm not completely convinced.
I felt like Gretchen went from not wanting to go out with Colton to wanting to date him rather quickly, and I wasn't quite following along emotionally, which took me out of the story a little. I didn't really like how Colton kept approaching her, and why all the characters kept calling him "charming". This leads me to believe that were he not famous and conventionally attractive, he would have been an outright creep, and that didn't exactly made me warm up to him.
In this vein, I also wasn't convinced by the grumpy x sunshine trope. This is perhaps my favourite trope, but the charm of it is when the sunshine character isn't (completely) aware of it and is a little oblivious. Colton knew people found him charming a little too well and he used it. I don't like people like that personally, which is why ultimately this book did not work for me.
What really made this drop to a 2 star for me, is how the book again, just like last time, made a tonal shift in the last part of the book and suddenly turned a lot heavier.

Thanks to Berkley and NetGalley for this eARC!
Christmas in July entry 1.
This was a cute entry in this series, but I will say, I'm not sure there was enough of the other book club members, and there def. wasn't enough of Colton's Maine Coon.
I thought the amount of Christmas was correct (including Vlad as Santa), and I really did like Gretchen and Colton's mom. A successful entry into Christmas in July (there WERE descriptions of the sweaters people were wearing, incomprehensible to me in this Texas summer). I think someone who liked the first 4 will like this one too!

Lyssa Kay Adams nailed it again. The Bromance Book Club is one of my favorite series, and Colton's story did not disappoint.
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC.

I’ll admit, for the first few books Colton wasn’t really on my radar. But that was mostly because of how much I wanted a Vlad book.
But once I was blessed with Vlad’s book, Isn’t It Bromantic?, Colton seriously became the new stand out for me when I was reading that. I was happy beyond belief when it was announced his book was going to be next.
And THEN it got announced that it was also a Christmas book!?? It was like a dream come true for me.
Adams seriously can’t miss. This was full of Christmas magic. Once again she mixes laugh-out-loud humour with full-on swooning moments and deeply emotional scenes. If you loved all of the previous books, you’ll love this one just as much.
If you’re new to the series, I do feel like I should suggest you go back and read the previous four before starting. You don’t HAVE to in order to follow along with the relationships and plot, but it will make you care far more deeply for every member of the cast.

Another fun book in the Bromance Book Club group. I read this book in less than a day. Adams's books are just fun. I love the group of male characters that are a part of this group. The female characters are perfect for their counterparts. Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy #NetGalley #AVeryMerryBromance

A Very Merry Bromance is a great addition to Lyssa Kay Adam's amazing Bromance Book Club series. Superstar Colton Wheeler finds his in to spend time with busy immigration attorney Gretchen Winthrop after a one night stand at their friend's wedding the previous year. He takes an opportunity she needs to begrudgingly present him with an offer her very much should refuse from her family's company. Let the (slightly) blackmailed and forced Christmas fun commence! Can they both figure out how and why they need each other while dealing with everything from their past? Absolutely recommend!

Though skeptical when I cracked open the first novel in this series, I quickly became a fan. Lyssa Kay Adams manages to blend a lighthearted romance with some depth of character, exploring the human experience and relationships to a degree the title may not belie. What fun to revisit these characters with a holiday twist!

I love this whole series and this one did not disappoint! Our fav characters are back, but Colton and Gretchen get center stage. I fell in love with them both.

I LOVE a good Christmas romance! And a grump/sunshine trope at that! I have loved every bit of this series and am thrilled to have read this!

I was fully prepared not to like Colton (he bugged me in the previous books) but he was SO incredibly sweet. As always, I was rooting for them both all along, and this hit all the tropes in exactly the right way, it had just the right amount of humor, and the perfect happy ending. More, please! (But no pressure or anything.)

Love this series! This was a long overdue story about Colton. Still not my favorite bromance member (that's still Noah) but a great read.
