Something about the boys in the Bromance Book Club makes them feel blurred around the edges. I can’t really tell them apart (besides Vlad, because he’s Vlad). And they really didn’t have much to do with this book, weirdly. I love a good sparring match between a sunshine and a grump, and this book did deliver that. However, the ending of this book just wasn’t fully fleshed out. We see two chapters dedicated to the romance-novel-within-the-romance novel, but then it sort of withers away as a plot device. We see Evan as the big bad character, but there’s not an overly satisfying ending to his whole reign of terror. I guess I just wanted more than what we were given? Unsure. 2.5 stars rounded up.

A nice addition to the Bromance line up. Slightly limited by its Christmas theme. Our store usually has a tough time with seasonal stories but our other Bromance books have sold well and we will look to bring this in for the Holidays 2023.

I really enjoyed this latest book in the Bromance series. The grumpy vs sunshine trope was such a hit. The chemistry between the characters was explosive. I loved how the author had Gretchen stick to her reasons throughout the book. Her family background was well explained and got wrapped up beautifully. She made for a delightful "scrooge" in this novel. Cooper stuck to his guns and didn't become some musician only wanting to use her to become more famous. His character was well thought out and very funny. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Super cute, and such a fun series to continue. I love this author and while it is a long series I do enjoy each new book such as this one.

This is my first by the author and Wow! I enjoyed the sunshine meets grumpy trope. Here the roles are reversed. It is perfectly, adorably done.

Colton is your country music guy. He has lost his muse and is trying to make music.
Gretchen is an immigration attorney and not a fan of Christmas. She was good but not when she ran away when tough situations did arise.

“And once we deal with our past, we realize why we ran away in the first place.”

The idea of a book club is a nice plot in this with the book club being of unexpected members, had me laughing so much. I liked the banter between the leads.

This was a light-hearted, sexy, cute with all the feels and serious topics were handled well. It is a perfect for Christmas romance. I am going to pick up other in the series.

“That your journey ain’t complete until you’re willing to stare at the glare of your own past.”

Overall I would highly recommend this.

I'm a huge fan of this series. The guys are always making me laugh and the romances make me swoon. This wasn't my favorite but I liked the Christmas element and Colton's family. And of course, the book club friends. I did enjoy watching their relationship develop (would have preferred it not have been started with blackmail) but the stuff with her family just didn't quite work well enough for me. I wish it had been handled a little differently, specifically around the end when she tried to "fix" things. It just didn't really make sense to me why she'd do that. But regardless, I love this series and the sense of families found and made and everyone supporting and loving each other.

This is another great addition to the Bromance Book Club. Colton is a famous country singer who tries to win over the one girl who rejected him. Gretchen, thanks to family drama, thinks she's no good for wonderfully perfect and kind Colton. He's made it his mission to show her that's not true and to help her discover the magic of Christmas.

Colton makes the perfect book boyfriend, even if he borders on being too good to be true. Gretchen comes off a very rough around the edges, and while she has good reason to be standoffish, she takes some time to warm up to. At times it felt a bit like Colton needed to get a clue that she wasn't interested (even if we all know it was just an act), but in a world of no-means-no, his persistence might rub someone the wrong way. Overall, though, it was great to see how he worked his way through her defenses to undercover why she was so standoffish and help her discover just how lovable she really is.

This novel has the usual charm of great banter and wonderful characters. It's great to see previous characters and watch Colton find his true love. This is a holiday romance without being Hallmark-y or drowning in Christmas cliches. It's unclear if there are going to be more books in this series, but if this is the end, it's a wonderful story to stop on.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A welcome addition to the Bromance series. I love a good holiday romance and this take on the grumpy sunshine trope. Will recommend title to fans of the series and readers of Christina Lauren and Tessa Bailey.

I absolutely love this series, I admit I have been reading out of order, but I am getting everything out of it in my opinion. I really enjoyed this installment, and the it took place during the holidays. This was such a fun read.

Gretchen was so fun to see in depth, especially when she let some walls down with Colton. Colton made me so happy. I loved reading about him and hearing all his feelings. He was such an open and lovable character.

Overall, I highly recommend continuing with this series if you've already started. If not you can totally read them in any orders, though you will get more out of them reading them in order. I have had some relationships spoiled for me by reading out of order, but I personally don't mind.

My favorite group of men is back! I am in love with this series and will read 100 books about them.

The fifth book in this series follows country musician Colton and immigration lawyer Gretchen. I absolutely loved this grumpy female and sunshine male Christmas story. Lyssa Kay Adams does not miss with this adorable group of men who read romance books in order to become better boyfriends and husbands.

I was a little frustrated with Gretchen at some points though I did understand where she was coming from at different points in the novel. Overall this was a lovely and sweet novel and I love Colton so much!

A Very Merry Bromance by Adams was just the cute rom com book I needed to kick off the holiday season! First of all, I LOVE THE BROMANCE BOOK CLUB. I seriously hope these exist LOL.

I think what really appeals to me about this series is it’s based upon the fact that men have relationship issues and need help navigating them too! Most romance books are centered around a female protagonist with a male love interest. Whereas this series revolves around a man who either has a preexisting relationship issue or enters into a relationship that starts off problematic. Undeniably the characters always end up together BUT the way in which Adams writes still makes me wonder if they really will until the end of the book.

I loved the dynamic between Colton (country music star) and Gretchen (a “comes from money” immigrant attorney). The banter between the two of them was adorable and as always the Bromance Book Club was there for relationship advice.

Definitely recommend reading this book even if it’s not Christmas!

I absolutely adore this series. The writing is so enthralling and entertaining. There is drama and fluff and all the stuff that makes a great contemporary romance. I absolutely recommend!

Thank you so much to Berkley Romance and Netgalley for providing an advanced copy of this! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.

I was so excited to be back in this world and with these characters! But this book had big shoes to fill after I completely fell in love with book 4.

But wow did Colton not disappoint.

I did not think that this book could top a marriage of convenience - but I was happily proved wrong.

Not only did I adore this romance, but these characters completely stole my heart. The way that Colton WORSHIPS Gretchen had me absolutely swooning.

This opens up with a one night of Colton's dreams, only for Gretchen to run out on him with the sun. He spends the next year wondering what went wrong only for Gretchen to, unexpectedly, show back up in his life.

His attraction and need to know what went wrong, leads them on a holiday themed fake dating adventure.

And I loved every single moment.

Gretchen's family is the literal worst. I hated them with every fiber of my being. But watching Colton defend her, and stand up against them even at the possible detriment to himself, left me a melted puddle. There is nothing I love more in romance than a worshipping hero. And boy was Colton a worshipper.

On top of that I love how self aware this series is. It knows it's tropes and acknowledges them. And even the 3rd act breakup is done in such a way that won me over.

I want more books in this series! But even if we don't get any more, I absolutely can't wait to see what this author writes next!!

I love the sunshine-meets-grumpy trope or, in this case, the Christmas-loving Country singer meets a workaholic Scrooge.

Colton Wheeler fell in love with Gretchen Winthrop from the moment they met each other, but she ghosted him after spending the best night of his life together one year ago. Now, Colton’s career is going through a rough patch and he feels lonelier than ever.

Gretchen is an immigration attorney and she wishes she had the means to help more people. She comes from a very wealthy family, but she has never been close to them.

One day, her family asks her to contact Colton and they have to see each other again. Colton agrees to consider helping her in exchange for three Christmassy dates.

This was the perfect Christmas romance! I loved the couple and I truly appreciate how the author has managed to flip gender stereotypes and create characters that accept they have unresolved issues and decide to seek help to learn and heal themselves in order to build healthy relationships.

I just love the Bromance Book Club. Now, who’s next?

Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for the eARC of this great holiday novel.

This was a super enjoyable holiday read! I loved being back with the gang.

Colton was a super sweet hero
The reverse grumpy sunshine aspect of the book was so good!

I have to be honest, Colton didn’t really stick out for me in the other Bromance Books, but I LOVED him in A Very Merry Bromance!

I enjoyed getting to know Colton in this book. He quickly became one of my favorites! And Gretchen was great! She was one tough cookie, but with a heart of gold! I loved Colton and Gretchen’s interactions. I couldn’t help rooting for them.

A Very Merry Bromance seemed a little more emotional than some of the others. What Gretchen went through really broke my heart. I loved how Colton continuously defended Gretchen and was one of her biggest supporters. I will say Gretchen got on my nerves at the end, but I get why she did what she did.

This is another excellent book in the Bromance series. I loved that it was set at Christmas and seeing all the other guys and their families in this book celebrating Christmas together!

Lyssa Kay Adams continues her rom-com series about a group of male friends who belong to the Bromance Book Club, in which they read romance books to get a less toxic viewpoint on relationships.

Country music star Colton Wheeler had what he thought was a real connection with Gretchen Winthrop when they spent the night together after the wedding of a friend. But the next morning, she said the night was a mistake and hastily disappeared.

A year later, she appears to ask Colton to be the new face of her family’s high-end whiskey. Colton had no idea she was one of those Winthrops. Gretchen is a dedicated immigration lawyer, but she is also an heiress of one of the richest families in Tennessee.

Colton is facing problems of his own with his record company, so he agrees to listen to her family’s proposal, but only if it’s presented by Gretchen, preferably over dinner. He hopes to get closer to her and also find out the real reason she left him that morning.

Their heated attraction is still there, so Colton sets out to woo Gretchen by giving the Scrooge some wonderful holiday experiences. But Gretchen’s aversion to all things Christmas is rooted in a painful past.

The “sunshiny one-grumpy one trope” is used effectively here. The real warmth and acceptance Gretchen experiences from Colton and his extended Bromance family starts to thaw the ice she had built around her heart. She has to reckon with ghosts from her past, which threaten their deepening relationship.
