Chris Croft's "Project Management QuickStart Guide" is a brilliant piece of writing and organization of a critical topic. Project Management doesn't have to be as complex as other manuals would make it. I hope that the plan is to publish this as an eBook, because the resources that one needs are easily available by the tap of a finger, and even the videos with come right up on your eBook reader screen. The templates can be downloaded and printed out.
I began reading this book out of general interest, and then part-way through, I realized that the described Gantt chart was just what I needed to redo my blog "The Halleson Post." (Start out by charting your project with Post-it Notes, and finish it by using Microsoft's Excel to create a Critical Path that can be monitored every step of the way.) Chris Croft doesn't leave anything out including how to use Excel. I won't need everything in this handbook, but I can use most of it. To see my progress, please check in to http://halleson.net/ from time to time and leave a comment. I loved reading this book. It is engaging, cleverly done, and sometimes funny. Chris Croft is a gem!
