Even going back and reading the first book in the series I think I ended up with more questions than answers, which can be good I guess. Definitely one that eventually sucks you in and gets you interested. I would like to do a re-read at some point, but overall this was a good if somewhat confusing read. The narrator did a good job.

The synopsis of this book sounded intriguing, so I thought I would give it a go, even though I had not read the first book in the series, the record keeper. While it would have been good to read the first, you could still follow the story. I listened to the audiobook, so the experience may have been different if reading, but I didn't really connect with the story or the characters. I really wanted like this one but unfortunately it wasn't for me.
