Our toddler really enjoyed this book. I think it was the cute illustrations and we enjoyed the dialogue more than anything as we all have favorite vegetables.

My daughter and I thought this book was very funny, and we had a lot of fun reading it.

The story is about the friendship of vegetables, and how they compete against each other in a competition, to see which vegetable is the best. Broccoli is surprised to find out that her fellow vegetables think she is brave and special.

This is a lovely tale, which is really cute. The graphics in the book are funny, bright and colourful, and they will appeal to children of all ages. Highly recommended.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I did not care for this book about vegetables who were arguing over who was the best vegetable.

This was a super fun story. A bunch of vegetables are getting together to figure out who was the greatest vegetable of the year. Broccoli totally thinks it’s not going to be them. They’ve not done anything exciting but just the trip from home to the event is exciting on its own. And it’s definitely agreed upon when we meet the other vegetables. I think one of my favorite things is the Aubergine (eggplant) because I’ve never seen a kids book mention that vegetable. I loved it all! It’s great fun and would make a really fun puppet show.

This is a very cute book about being yourself and living your life to the fullest. Plus it's educational to kids about vegetables.

Broccoli is invited to the annual Vegetable Awards and, even though he is fairly certain he will win now such award, he decides to go and support his other vegetable friends.

Although there are many more vegetables that deem themselves more important or valuable than broccoli, he soon finds out that we are all special in our own way.

Broccoli’s Big Day was a huge hit with my youngest, even though the real broccoli is not a vegetable he usually reaches for. The end of the book provides the reader with a tongue-in-cheek anatomy page for broccoli and provides interesting facts about the green vegetable.

Whether this book helps my kids to eat more of their veggies or not, it was a cute and entertaining story nonetheless! Definitely worth a read.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange of my honest opinion.

In this fun picture book, we follow Broccoli in a very special day. The town where she lives is choosing the Best Vegetable of the Year!

Would she be the chosen one? Who else could be and why?

I had a very good and entertaining time reading this book! It has some amazing illustrations and a very nice message!

We do love Vegs!

Broccoli is invited to attend a town hall meeting to choose the best vegetable. Bright, detailed illustrations with unusual main characters (all vegetables) will get the readers attention, and the stories the vegetables tell to try to show they are the best are sure to elicit some laughs.

The story teaches the lessons of overcoming obstacles/adversity and that you don’t need to boast/stretch the truth in order to succeed. There were some plot holes for me which is why I did not rate the book higher-overall, a clever idea.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

LOL! I love a play on food and this is seriously fun! The illustrations are fantastic, especially of broccoli on his bike and turnip in the circle of chairs. I would love this as a series!

Great illustrations and story to teach children about different vegetables and to show that differences are what make things special. I would definitely read this book to the toddlers in my classroom and I think they would enjoy it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.

A super fun and silly book about vegetables. I really enjoyed the story and quirky humor. I liked how the different vegetables came together to appreciate what makes each one special. This would be a great book for preschool and kindergarten aged children.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

Broccoli is my daughter's favorite vegetable and she was so excited for this book. She was not disappointed. SHe loved the illustrations and the story. This story is a fun, fast read that might even make your kiddo like broccoli! The publisher made a copy of this book available on Netgalley. This review is my honest opinion.

Broccoli's Big Day did not go in the direction I expected, but it did go in one that would entertain a child. When Broccoli opens the invitation to a vegetable of the year party, I thought the qualifications to win would have to do with the actual characteristics of vegetables (full of vitamins, good for you, etc). Instead, it had to do with what extreme thing they had done that year. That is what drew my child into the story- that the vegetables were telling tales of going deep into sea, or into space. It still had some good facts about broccoli at the end, and was overall a fun book.

I enjoyed this unique and original concept. The illustrations were great. This would be a great book to read to kids which would allow the launch into lots of different topics.

This was such a sweet book! Broccoli is summoned to a meeting of the vegetables. She doesn't feel particularly remarkable, but as the story unfolds, she and her readers learn just how special Broccoli really is.

My children enjoyed this book for its fun verse, colorful illustrations, and sweet message.

This is a nice book for helping to build confidence, recognize value in different character traits, and maybe get your kids a little more excited to eat their broccoli so they can get their own superpowers, too.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review!
