Broccoli receives a note from Aubergine to attend the annual meeting to decide who is the year's Best Vegetable. Readers will laugh at the antics described by each as they vie for this award. Broccoli simply shares where they live -readers have already seen the trek they made to get to the meeting. As could be predicted, Broccoli wins the award. Brightly colored illustrations add to the fun. Great book for picky eaters and to discuss telling the truth when sharing about yourself.

Fact: Broccoli is my favourite vegetable, I love it roasted, I love it steamed, it goes well with everything, why doesn't everyone love broccoli?

In this adorable story, broccoli is invited to the Best Vegetable summit where all the vegetables give a speech about who's the best vegetable.

The illustrations are cute and bright and colourful.

First of all, I LOVE when characters are fruits or veggies, so this caught my eye immediately, but the message of ordinary, everyday acts being heroic and exciting made this one of my favorite reads in a while!

The beautiful illustrations let me curious about this book. I’m lucky to have a toddler who still loves vegetables, but we never know when this will change and, therefore, I appreciate every effort made to make healthy eating fun.
I won’t expect kids will start enjoying broccoli because of the story but we had fun reading it
I recommend this book to families with children aged 2 and over.

Love the cover and the inclusion of other vegetable items as characters!

The story is fun with lots of activities. However, I feel the story is a bit tedious to read and follow for a young readers beginner level.

I appreciate the colourful illustrations and the concept of making the vegetables fun for the kids through this interactive storybook.

Light-hearted book that probably won't sell broccoli to the very young, but will go some way to getting them to at least try the stuff. If they don't object to eating book heroes, that is – for broccoli is in contention here to win Vegetable of the Year. Alright, she's a rank outsider, but all the same. Colourful and silly enough to appeal to the right age range, this might make several veggies appealing in fact, so is a potentially quite useful thing to have on hand.

Children and veggies are usually not very good friends. There are kids who don't even know the name of the various vegetables, let alone eat them. This funny picture book aims to change that. The visual world is playful and full of colours, the copy is creative, while the entire book is informative and introduces the kids to lots of cool vegetables.

Strongly recommended to picky eaters - children and their parents alike.

Broccoli's Big Day is a great book to get children to love vegetables ! I loved the portrayal of different kinds of vegetables and their different personalities. It was pretty funny, but sweet too.
