A little fish exploring using his 5 senses. Cute book but not excellent as the story seemed a little untidy in where it was going.

This book is just alright, in my opinion. Not good, not bad. Similar to other reviews I've given for other books, I think that other books have done better what this book tried to do with its story and with its sensory engagement.

Our 3 year old really enjoyed this book. I liked the illustrations, the contrast, and also the colors. The use of the 5 senses was nice. The small interactive elements too was neat to keep my son's attention to review at the end.

I enjoyed reading this book. We see a fish and their friends work together to find out what this object might be. The illustrations were beautiful and really helped bring this story to life. Kids are going to have a lot of fun reading this book.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. One day little white fish finds a very strange thing at the bottom of the ocean, and he doesn't know what to do with it. This is a story about using your senses to figure something out.

This feels like two books instead of one. The first half of the book is white fish and his friends finding an old boot and trying to figure out what it is. If they had left and ended the book at “it’s a playhouse” and they’re all having fun it would be fine. But then white fish goes on one page adventures that don’t seem to match anything. I’ve liked white fish books in the past but not this one this one can stay at the printers.

My kid love the book! It was easy to read and she is just 7. She is a slow reader so i was happy that she enjoyed the book.

The activity at the end was also nice. She told me that she wanted to read EVERYTHING on the book.

Good job!

A fun story that invites young readers to solve a mystery using their five senses. When Little White Fish discovers something that looks, smells, and feels quite strange, it is up to him and his friends to discover what it could be!

Another great tale for early readers by Guido Van Genechtan!

Thank you to Netgalley and Clavis publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A cute little story for the cutest and littlest of readers – toddlers.

One morning, Little White Fish discovers something strange. Along with his friends from the ocean, he tries to figure out what that object could be. The creatures use the five sensory techniques of touch, sound, sight, taste and smell. Finally, they realise that though they don’t know what that object is, it certainly makes for a wonderful playhouse.

This board book will work wonderfully for its target age group of readers aged 2-4. There are a variety of creatures for kids to discover through these pages. The sentences are very simple and easy on the ears. There is a series of fun interactive puzzles at the end of the book. The perfect addition to this cute story.

This book will work beautifully as a bedtime read as well as for a general storytelling session. The sensory activities of the creatures can be replicated by guardians reading the story aloud to their little ones, and getting the little ones to do them too, thereby increasing the fun.

I did wonder why “Little White Fish” was just called that while the other creatures were referred to more accurately as Seahorse, Turtle, Shrimp, and so on. Then again, Little White Fish really pops out of the darkish sketches with his bright white circular body.

The illustrations are really cute and demonstrate well each of the five senses through the animals’ explorations.
All in all, a really sweet and stimulating book for toddlers.

4.25 stars.

My thanks to Clavis Publishing and NetGalley for the DRC of “Little White Fish and the Strange Thing”. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.

A sensory book for young readers and their parents. I enjoy children's book that encourage parents to engage with their young readers. It makes reading more enjoyable for everyone and is the first spark to love books and using the imagination. Little White Fish and his friends something unusual on the ocean floor. They use all their senses to come up what it is and how it can be used. A fun book for all ages.

A special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

My two year old daughter and I really enjoyed this book. She loves all things fish so when we saw this book, we had to read it. The illustrations are ADORABLE, and we loved learning about how to figure out something new using our five senses. I also am a big fan of books that ask questions and get her involved in reading with me. She loved the sea creatures and the interaction in the second half of the book. This book is cute and perfect for kids ages 2-4!

It was a nice story, the illustrations were very inviting too. I liked how it was showing them all the different ways and everyone was working as a team.

Loved the games at the end and I'm sure they would keep little ones busy for a little while.

This book was so cute! My daughter, who is 4, loved the story and the games so much. She's been asking me to read this every night as it keeps her entertained while being a quick read before bed. The book is exactly what it show on the cover. It's a short read about a little white fish discovering something strange close to them.

This brightly colored story with the unexpected contrast with the white little fish is such a fun and colorfully unique landscape for this cute book about the five senses. I love the interactive maze at the end and it is a fun way for kids to learn and understand their five senses in a fun way. All of the characters under the sea are fun as well. A sweet little book!

One day, a little white fish discovers a new object at the bottom of the sea and decides to investigate what it is. Other aquatic animals like the octopus, turtle, crab, and seahorse help her with the task.
The book is about explaining sensory elements like hearing, touching, smelling, feeling, and seeing something to determine what it is and how it makes one feel. The book is for teenies aged 2.5 years and up.
The illustrations are colorful and attractive to keep them engaged. Parents will have to read the text for toddlers, but there are a couple of activities to help kids understand how the senses work.
To sum up, Little White Fish and the Strange Thing is a cute book to teach sensory activities to kids while having loads of fun looking at the illustrations.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and Clavis Publishing and am voluntarily leaving a review.
