The de Petras family is very unusual. The oldest daughter is the head of the household and her husband must take her last name. She takes care of the finances and makes decisions for the family. Coral de Petras's mother is still head of the family, but they must weather through a financial disaster. Coral loses her dowry and decides to marry for money instead of love. She makes a list of the perfect husband and has it put in all the papers. Edward Barlow, Duke of Glaenarm, falls for Coral at first sight at a ball. He doesn't have all the requirements on her list, but it doesn't put him off from pursuing her. Can he persuade her to give him a chance and forget the list? A complicated romance with a duke that just might fit into this family.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Coral seeks a husband matching the qualifications on her list; unfortunately, Edward doesn't meet any of them even though he's very attractive. This is an insta-lust scenario, but our two main characters don't realize that each is perfect for each other. Edward wants to be close to Coral, so he volunteers to help her find a husband that matches her list. And they get closer along the way. Quick-ish read.

A suddenly impoverished debutante, Coral, decides to publish a list of her requirements for a groom. While attracted to Edward, he does not meet all her requirements. Edward is determined to make Coral realize he is everything she needs. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.
