This book is absolutely adorable. Our son really likes to say "boo" and being 3, he was all about this book. The illustrations are great, the text is easy to go through with a toddler. Would recommend.

'A Wee Boo' by Jessica Boyd with illustrations by Brooke Kerrigan is a picture book about a tiny ghost trying to earn her haunting license.

Poor Wee Boo is too tiny to scare anyone, and she wants to be accredited like the other ghosts. She is given a third chance. When she fails to scare a child, and instead makes it laugh, she thinks she might have found a new calling.

This book was pretty adorable. Wee Boo is cute and decidedly not scary, but the other ghosts do come across a bit scary, so it might be best to thumb through this first for sensitive young readers.

Another perfect little children’s read for spooky season. Wee Boo is a ghost who just wants to earn her haunting license like all the other accredited ghosts. Unfortunately for her, she’s way too cute to scare anyone. She’s given one last chance to prove her worth, and the bar is lowered – all she has to do is have someone say “whoa” (no screams necessary). Unfortunately things still don’t go too well… Until Boo comes face to face with a baby, and makes the baby laugh hysterically. Boo realizes that while she may not make a very successful ghost, she would be a fantastic imaginary friend. This precious little tale of an adorable ghost will have you smiling with cuteness and joy, and will serve as a reminder, too, that we all have our own unique talents and skillsets that will make us wonderful at our calling.

Absolutely perfect in every single way. This is the perfect read for any time of the year, but especially if you are getting your little ones ready for the spooky season.

There is nothing like a ghostie Halloween book. This book is so sweet and the illustrations are completely adorable. So playful and expressive. Love all of the characters. Simply reading it makes me wish I still had a little to read Halloween stories to.

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays, as was true for my son and younger siblings. I highly recommend this beautifully illustrated book. Love, love, love.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A cute book about a wee ghost who isn't so great at scaring like the other ghosts.

A cute story of a little ghost looking for her first human scare. No matter how hard she tries, Little Boo just cannot be scary. I love the illustrations in this book. Just adorable. A perfect non scary Halloween story.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book for review.

This book was just too cute. Boo is a very small ghost and as such has had a hard time scaring someone. It took them longer to get to school. It took them longer and it was harder to do things like shut doors. To get their hunting license, they have to scare someone and who Boo finally scares is just such a gorgeous read. This book was fun, it’s a great spooky story for the youngest kids. It could be read during Halloween, before, after, or just because. This book just works and should be a staple in your hunting collection

Well this was the cutest, sweetest ghost story that ever was. Perfect for little ones at Halloween! The illustrations are precious!! I loved everything about this!

A story about a little ghost who struggles to be scary. There have been a lot of books with this same plot come out recently, and while the illustrations are cute, it doesn't really bring anything new to the table.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

Halloween's always been a special time in my life and with my family. So I adore anything that's Halloween! Which might make me a little biased. :) But this book is adorable! The illustrations and the writing are perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. I especially love the illustrations. I think the children that read this with their families will really have a good time reading it for years to come!

What a lovely story! Perfect for around Halloween. I love that it's not too intense or scary, such a great lighthearted Halloween book. The illustrations were also beautiful!

Seriously a delight! I love the sweet twist on what a typical ghost is expected to do. A win for sure for classrooms and littles (who are newer to the concept of ghosts). Super sweet illustrations.

Thank you NetGalley and Orca Book Publishers for this ARC.

What an adorable Halloween themed book! Boo is a ghost working toward his haunting license. Every ghost takes the test to get one, and all of them pass so that they can go about haunting families. Everyone, that is, except Boo. He's just too cute!

Beautiful illustrations and a great message for children that our paths are myriad and not always laid out in front of us. We're allowed to forge our own paths, even making better ones.

5 out of 5 stars, such an adorable story.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Adorable story for younger kids, with simple art work. Wee Boo is such a cute ghost, when I read the story, I was the narrator and my daughter enjoyed using her "cutesy" voice to read all of Wee Boo's part.

An absolutely adorable story that is perfect for the young Halloween enthusiast without the spookiness right before bed. This actually reminds me a lot of the spooky picture book that helped get me into reading when I was a kid and I know it's going to help do the same for another child.

I LOVED the art style and I will most definitely be recommending the story of Wee Boo trying to get her Haunting License to every Halloween loving family this fall.

This book is the sweetest. My 2.5year old is in a big Halloween phase and often asks for ghost or monster books-- obviously nothing scary, so this was perfect. We loved the sweet and expressive illustrations of Wee Boo, and the ending message about being a friend.

Absolutely adorable! The art is so cute and has a sort of Tim Burton vibe which was wonderful. The pages are very clear and the story is short but sweet. I love little Wee Boo and I can imagine many children in the age range for this book are going to enjoy it!

The perfect pre-Halloween book. I loved Wee Boo and I loved the ending of this book so much! What a fun twist!

Wee Boo is having trouble passing the scare test to gain her ghost diploma. She's far too small and cute to do anything loud or scary. Then she decides to try with the baby. But babies are unpredictable, and this one laughed instead!

Boo finally gets her ghost diploma, but she decides against house-haunting forever. She wants a different career....

This book is short and adorable. Boo does what she was taught (and works hard), but she doesn't pretend to be who she isn't, and that helps her discover what she really wants. I recommend this book for any time of the year, and for any age with interest in the subject.
