Christopher Willard and Daniel Rechtschaffen bring us an alphabetic invitation to mindfulness and breathing for littles. Holly Clifton-Brown's charming illustrations bring each letter to life. This title would work well for littles who need some one-on-one coaching, and great for read-aloud with accompanying modeling of these breaths. Highly recommended.

These illustrations are beyond words! 100 stars!

This was a charming title with very short and realistic breathing exercises for littles. I plan on implementing these exercises to correspond with the letter of the week in my story times. I would recommend this title!

Wonderfully illustrated & creative book to engage children in focused breathing. Using imagery helps them to tackle more abstract concepts & I see students really enjoying working on breathing strategies using this book.

As an elementary school counselor, I can’t wait to add a physical copy of this book to my shelf!

With mindful breathing exercises from A-Z (ex. A is for astronaut breath, E is for excavator breath, O is for ocean breath) this would be the perfect book to use at the end of a small group or classroom lesson! Each exercise combines belly breathing with a gross motor movement (ex. Starfish breath: breathe in and stretch out your arms and legs like a starfish. Breathe out and imagine gently floating in the water).

The photographs are beautiful and inclusive of different races. I highly recommend this book!

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review

What a cute book, the wee ones will have a fun-time taking in and out the different types of breaths. It might also prove to be quite healthy also. With my sleep apnea I have to do breathing exercises daily, and what do you know, I found a few of them in this lovely picture book. This title could possibly help with other medical issues too, such as asthma. Take it with you the next time your child goes to the doctor, it will not only ease the boredom of the waiting room, it might also prompt the pediatrician to give you some wise advice as well. Happy Reading!

Oh my goodness, we loved this book SO MUCH!! This book is great for teaching children the importance of different types of thinking/breathing, which can be a healthy coping mechanism of a child is feeling overwhelmed. Each page also features a letter from the alphabet which will help young children with letter recognition. The story is fun and important, and the illustrations are vibrant and fun. This is 100% a book I will recommend to others and purchase when it comes out.

Thank you Sounds True for a digital copy of this book! This book is due for publication 9/27/22 and we definitely recommend it!

I love this practical and fun introduction to breathwork for kids. I think there is something for many different ages and interests in this book to help young kids find interest in mindfulness and breathing. Using this book could help kids to remember their breathing; instead of saying "do your box breaths" how much more fun to instead say "do your rainbow breaths!". The illustrations are beautiful!

What a great book! This book gives a breathing technique for every letter of the alphabet. Each page has a new letter along with a description of the breathing technique and a picture to go along with it! As a grade 3 teacher I often need to help my students practice breathing techniques and I would love having a copy of this book on my desk or within reach to give them a variety of breathing techniques that are easy to remember. I can see so many uses for this book in my classroom. The pictures are really interesting but are not overwhelming, and the text is fairly easy to read and is a good, clear font. I would highly recommend this book to primary teachers or parents of children who struggle with anxiety or high emotions and need support to regulate their bodies and regain control. I so appreciate having the opportunity to read an advance ebook copy of this book and can't wait to head out a purchase a copy for my classroom library soon!

I loved this book and will be purchasing for my classroom. It’s a great way to implement calm down techniques with giving children something they can visualize.

This is a beautifully illustrated book with 26 mindful breathing exercises from A-Z. It’s perfect for the classroom and home to encourage mindful breathing when angry, stressed, or anxious. My children, even my son who is typically resistant to breathing exercises, enjoyed trying these out.

Thank you NetGalley and Sounds True for the opportunity to review this book.

A brilliant way to introduce deep breathing to little ones. Fun and easy to learn , yet a useful tool that can be used throughout their lives. Wonderful to center and refocus a classroom after gym or recess.

Alphabreaths Too is a great book to not just introduce kids to different breathing techniques, but a great ABC book. My 3 year old followed along with some of the breaths as we read the book, but also picked up on some of the illustrations of the children breathing out. The illustrations beautifully matched each described breath, and the large letter at the top to introduce the breathing technique caught my child’s eye on each page. This would be a great book in a school setting for a PE class, guidance lesson, or just to use returning from recess to calm the children's bodies down.

I intended to spend a little girl time with my youngest grandchild (4 yrs old) and enjoy this book. The other children were so intrigued by what we were doing and joined in one at a time. By the time we got to the pirate breath , grumpy Grandad had joined in too. I had to repeat the whole book again as there were complaints that they had not all had the chance to do all the breaths. They were all a bit quieter later and Grandad nodded off, so I will try selected breaths later. Great book. The illustrations are lovely.

Alphabreaths Too is a wonderful book on mindful breathing that all teachers should have in their library! I didn't realize that there were so many different fun ways to encourage deep breathing in young students. I've only utilized maybe 3 or 4 that were listed in this book but I am excited to try all of them with my students. They will have a blast with the astronaut breathing and pirate breathing! The illustrations of the children practicing their breathing are so colorful and captivating.

Thank you NetGalley and Sounds True for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
