Thank you to Dreamscape Media for this ALC in exchange for an honest review.

For You & No One Else was the perfect end to the Say Everything series, although it can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Roni Loren writes the best characters. They’re always so real and relatable, with real-life problems. Okay, maybe not all of us need to be de-programmed from being raised in a cult, but certainly many of us can relate to lashing out and doing the opposite of what our parents want us to. And we’re certainly all guilty of putting on an “I’m okay” front for the world while we privately drown in our problems.

Eliza and Beck have great chemistry. There’s a lot of steam in this book, and it is very well-written.

I’m so sad to see this series end. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend all three books!

Audio Review: Narrated by Desiree Ketchum, this audio production was great. This was a quick, easy listen, and the narrator was a good fit for the story.

The set up for the romance in this book was an interesting concept and made this an intriguing read. Beck was a very interesting character and it would have been wonderful to have more insight into his past. This was a fun read and was a quick read.

I listened to the audiobook version of the book, and enjoyed the narrator's cadence and portrayl of the characters.

However, Eliza and Beck's story was just okay for me. Nothing bad, but nothing exactly memorable either. Was an okay read overall.

Eliza and Beck are neighbors in a rent-an-office building. She has a private practice as a psychologist and does social media posts encouraging healthy living habits. Beck is an internet security expert and refuses any personal social media. Their attraction grows as they get to know each other even though their goals are conflicting.

Wahh wahh this was a tad disappointing.....

Eliza as a therapist is a little unbelievable, as someone who has gone to therapy I have never thought that my therapist should have it all together. Isn’t that the point of therapy no one has it all together and to lean to accept the fact that you don’t. Eliza seemed to have very little grace for herself.

The ending I think was over dramatic, just to be over dramatic

However really good spicy scenes!!!!!!

This is Eliza's story. I've had fun with first two books in this series, I have high hopes for this book. Eliza agrees to stop the online dating and to start getting out there to meet people naturally. I really liked the 80s party and the games. I was hooked on this book from the first chapter. I like that all three books are connected. I wish there would be more books in this series.

I absolutely devoured this!!!!!

I'd forgotten how much I loved and missed this series and the characters until I was listening to this and heard Andi and Hollyn's names. I had loved Eliza's character since the beginning and I was so excited to finally be able to dive into her story. And Roni did not disappoint!!!

It's a common misconception that therapists are well put together and don't have their own battles and insecurities. This book tackles that ideology very well in my opinion. Eliza (Eli) is a smart woman, sure, but she's also a human who has to navigate through life alone. Even though she's usually found on the other side of the table, helping everyone through their trauma, she has her own fair share of emotional baggage. I liked how she went through all the emotions and heartaches and insecurities while still being a professional therapist and helping people out. It sent the message that life happens and everyone's essentially the same.

Beckham's character was very interesting. I really liked him and was frustrated with him at the same time. But when I understood why he was the way he was, I liked him even more. I feel like Beckham and Eli's relationship was handled well and it seemed realistic. I loved their character growth and how the conflict was resolved. I also liked how the epilogue served as a wrap not only for Beckham and Eli but also for the rest of the characters from the previous two books. It felt nostalgic getting to listen to their lives after their books ended.

The narration was done really well, also. I think Desiree Ketchum did the narration for all three books and her way of narration was very accurate. I feel like she really understood the characters and gave her best impression of them. (Which in my opinion was done perfectly.)

Overall, I absolutely loved this book—the entire series, and I hope Roni continues to write more amazing books for us to devour!!!

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me the chance to listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Just finished this and I loved it. My favorite book in this series❣️I laughed, smiled and totally got this girl. These two had a sparkle of attraction that grew into something really special. I loved the chemistry and banter. Beck is my next book boyfriend for sure. It’s definitely a great vacation read for a summer getaway. It had everything I love in a smexy romance. The authors really finding her stride and I can’t wait to see what she does next. I read a lot of it but finished it as a audiobook. Desiree Ketchum narrated this like the first two and she’s becoming one of my favorites. FYI, this is a stand-alone. I highly recommend listening to this.

Book Review:
I was really thinking this one would knock it out if the park for me because of Colleen Hoover’s endorsement, but it just didn’t quite get me to really love it. Don’t get me wrong though, I enjoyed it but I didn’t love it or find myself craving to finish it.

One thing that could have made a difference for me is if there was a male narrator for the male MC POV instead of the female narrator doing those parts as well.

The story itself was cute with the workplace romance in a shared workspace office building (not coworkers) where they got together because of that proximity and the challenge for the female MC to stay off social media and dating apps for 6 months after a disaster date.

This is a stand-alone in a series so if you are worried when you see it’s number 3 in the series don’t as you don’t need to read the others to enjoy this standalone.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC of this audiobook! I am so thankful to obtain a copy to listen to it in advance of its release!

I knew I was taking a gamble listening to Roni Loren’s For You and No One Else for two reasons: one, I’ve struggled getting through a romance at all these days; and, two, I did not enjoy the first in the series, Yes and I Love You. I can’t say anything about #2 because, having been burned by #1, I didn’t read, or listen to it. And that’s the main reason why I settled on this one: I could listen to it, maybe that would help get some of my romance mojo back. It did and it didn’t. I enjoyed it, think it’s likely the best of the series, can safely assume contemporary romance fans will enjoy it, but I still grew impatient with the genre’s flaws and won’t be rushing out to read as much romance as I used to. But maybe, just maybe, I can take the genre in small doses, preferably aurally.

To start, for some background and context, the novel’s blurb:

“Eliza Catalano has the perfect life. So what if it actually looks nothing like the story she tells online? As a therapist, it’s part of her job to look like she has all the answers, right? But when she ends up as a viral “”Worst Date Ever”” meme, everything in her Instagram-filtered world begins to crumble.

Enter the most obnoxiously attractive man she’s ever met—and a bet she can’t resist: if she swears off social media for six months, Beck Carter will teach her the wonders of surviving the “”real world.”” No technology, no dating apps, no pretty filters, no BS.

It seems like the perfect deal—she can lay low until her sudden infamy passes, meet some interesting new people, and maybe even curate this experience into a how-I-quit-the-online-dating-racket book along the way. But something about Beck’s raw honesty speaks to Eliza in ways she never expected. She knows he’s supposed to be completely hands-off…but as complex feelings grow and walls come tumbling down, rough-around-the-edges Beck may be exactly what Eliza needs to finally, truly face herself—and decide who she really wants to be.”

Loren has many strengths, though I think they’d be more evident in a first-time Loren reader in her first series, Ones Who Got Away. Nevertheless, I could see what attracted me to Loren’s writing in For You and No One Else, which the first in the series had me doubting.

One of those strengths is Loren calling on her mental health counselling expertise to round out her characters and show their growth. That “show” sometimes slips into “tell”, but it still makes for often believable, likeable characters. That is certainly true of Eliza and Beck. Loren has a knack for characters who work towards revelations about themselves and act on them: this makes for a romance that is slow-moving emotionally even when the bedroom scenes (one too many and too explicit for my taste) are frequent and arrive early in the narrative.

In Eliza’s case, she has set herself up, despite her therapist’s training (Loren rightly shows how physician’s can’t heal themselves) to seek, via SM, what she wants in her personal life: a loving marriage like her deceased parents had and children. Beck is her opposite: as we slowly learn, he has reason to be wary of SM, commitment, and especially marriage. Both are wrong and both are right, in that, in the end, they don’t have to change where they’re coming from: they have to redefine what they want, who they are, and how they can be together. It’s lovely.

Loren’s second strength is her humour and this shines through in Eliza and Beck’s banter and the antics of their pets. How they come by their beloved animals is one of my favourite sequences. As Eliza and Beck build their friendship (also nicely done on Loren’s part), Eliza confesses to Beck her desire for a dog, part of her family-building strategy. When Beck accompanies Eliza on her foray into the pet-adoption agency, he is, instead, “adopted”, “chosen” by a cantankerous cat, Trent, possessive, jealous, and demanding. Their interactions are a hoot, as are Eliza’s with her adopted furry friend, the mild-mannered, people-food-begging dog, Mabel.

And those flaws? They are obvious: this thing was just too darn long, always the Achilles heel of any romance that isn’t category length (sadly, category romance, because it’s often a stop-over to the longer, more lucrative forms, now suffers from weak writing, creaky, trite plotting, and flat characterization, wish I could find some good ones). Moreover, in For You and No One Else, there are too many bedroom scenes, too much build-up to the betrayal, which flashes like a lighthouse to the reader-ship in the night, and too long by the time these two mature people learn to be honest with each other.

For You and No One Else is not a romance that breaks any ground for the genre (let’s face it, those are rare, a Molly O’Keefe or a Cecilia Grant, a Jennifer Crusie or a Mary Balogh, don’t come too often to any genre), but I don’t think it’s fair to expect that of every romance novel we read. It was great to get a dose of HEA (though the epilogue went on for ages and ages) and a well-written romance about two deserving, eventually mature people getting the love and life everyone would want. The narration, by Desiree Ketchum, was nicely paced and emotionally engaging; her voice has a lovely timbre, though I wish her mouthfuls of Beck’s f-bombs were less forceful.

I am grateful to Dreamscape Media for the audio-galley granted to me, via Netgalley, and the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook.

Eliza has everything planned out for her future…marriage, kids, and the perfect husband. She already has a great job as a therapist, so just has to work on her dating life. But, after she is recorded without her permission during a date gone wrong, Eliza feels like her world is crashing down around her. Luckily her office neighbor, Beck Carter knows how to help her with this problem. What else will Beck be able to help Eliza with?

Loved the friends with benefits trope. Spicy scenes. Strong female main character. Loved the personal growth Eliza has.

Solid romance novel.

If you are not familiar with Roni Loren books you need to read this series, each book is unique and magical. This story was emotional, charming, fun and delightful. I loved both characters so much and it ended up so quickly, I wanted a bit more.

Eliza and Beck's story really hit a chord with me. These two worked in the same office, but never spoke until a chance holiday meeting put them in each other's path. Beck and Eliza both had their hang ups, but they truly were meant for each other. They challenged each other and brought out their insecurities and helped them beat those insecurities. Ms. Loren writes characters I can relate to and the stories always keep me interested until the very end. The emotions are real and the story is good. Another great book!

The narrators did a great job of bringing this story to life. The emotions and feelings were so real. It really enhanced the story for me.

This was a beautiful ending to this series, however, I’m crushed that it’s over. I love the friends to lovers trope, and this book was no exception. It was full of heart, super funny, and just the right amount of spice. Oh and for those who read the first two books, the epilogue put the prefect bow on the present that is this series. This book was an absolute 10/10!!!

If you’ve followed me for long, you know my deep and undying love for Roni Loren’s Say Anything series. It is INCREDIBLE! This is the third book in the series and every book is as good as the last. While you don’t HAVE to read them in order, I would recommend it - and you will thank me later! 😍

💙Great friends to friends with benefits to lovers
💙Workplace romance
💙The best side characters
💙Funny rescue dog + cat!
💙Loren always finds a way to include mental health, consent and respect without being preachy and I love it so much!

If I’m being picky, I would have liked more back story for both. There was just something slightly off from her prior books in the series.

🎧As with the rest of the series, @desireeketchum ‘s narration is perfection!

Thank you, Sourcebooks Casa and Dreamscape Media, for gifting me copies of For You & No One Else to read and review.

For You & No One Else is the third book in the Say Everything series by Roni Loren. Each book is perfect, and I fall hard for the characters. I have the most challenging time saying goodbye once the book is over. Eliza is special to me because I relate to her so much. She is 32 and trying to follow what “society” tells her about needing to find a husband. Instead, she befriends her coworker of sorts Beck and the sparks sizzle. Eliza struggles throughout the book to redefine herself and puts societal pressures in their place. I was inspired by her and will try and refind my own expectations for myself. Thank you to my new BFF, Elisa. I’m glad you figured it all out. I highly recommend reading this whole series ASAP.

I really liked this book. I thought Eliza and Beck were really great characters and I loved the friendship they formed.

I did a hybrid read of this (audiobook and ebook) and I also loved the audiobook narrator.

I thought the whole religious cult was really interesting because that kind of thing fascinates me. I also loved the idea of a NoPho party and sometimes I wish I had the will power to go to an event and be completely without my phone for the entire time.

I’m sad this series is over now though because I’ve really loved all 3 couples.

Thank you to @sourcebookscasa and @dreamscape_media for the eARC and audiobook copies of this book.

This series has my heart! This book just cemented these characters as some of my favorites!⁣

Elizabeth and Beck start an office friendship on Christmas, of all days, and end up turning it into a friends with benefits arrangement. But as we all know, the benefits turn into real feelings…⁣

Eli and Beck (how cute is Eli as his nickname for her) aren’t the most likely of couples, but their chemistry worked and made me fall in love with the two of them! ⁣

This book touches on grief, the issue of privacy, and the role that religion can play in a person’s life. All serious topics and all handled with care and sensitivity. ⁣

Other things I loved:⁣
💙 The spotlight on social media and the role that it plays in our lives.⁣
💙 The furry friends who brought these two together. ⁣
💙 Getting to see Andi and Hollyn from the previous books. ⁣
💙 The perfect amount of steam.⁣
💙 What is now one of my favorite epilogues ever!⁣

If you haven’t read this series, I cannot recommend it enough! While these can all be read as stand-alone books, I’d encourage you to start at the beginning. You won’t be sorry!⁣

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the eARC and audio arc of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I loved it so much that I ended up buying a copy for my shelf!

To start off this review, I had no idea this was book 3 in the “Say Everything” series. I really don’t like reading book series out of order because I always feel like I’m missing something. That wasn’t this case with this book. I wasn’t ever confused while reading and I really liked the book.

Eliza is a marriage therapist, who cannot find a fulfilling relationship of her own. While stopping by her office on Christmas because she is bored and lonely she realizes her office neighbor is also working. She decides to see if he would like some company as well. Beckham Carter also has no family around to spend Christmas so he decides to spend Christmas with “Eli” as he calls her. The two couldn’t be more opposite when it comes to their likes and wants but they also can’t seem to stay away from one another.

I really enjoyed this book, it was thought provoking and Beckham has some hidden secrets that I thought added some mystery and suspense to the book. Being the same age as Eliza I could relate with her character about what life is “supposed” to look like at this age. I loved the fact that Beckham went along with Eliza to the animal shelter and ended up with his own pet to take home because that’s exactly what would happen to me. I would definitely recommend this read to anyone looking for a fun, mostly lighthearted read.

I listened to the book via audiobook and I thought that Desiree Ketchum did a wonderful job. Her change in vocals for the male and female characters was really good.

Thank you to #netgalley and #dreamscapemedia for the providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Format - ARC Audio and Paperback

Rating- ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Spice- 🌶 🌶

Series- Say Everything #3

Troupes- Friends to lovers, age gap, FWB, work place romance

CW- Past alcohol addiction, religious cults, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, panic attacks

I’ve been waiting for this book since last year! Eliza had been such a supportive role in the other books and I wanted her HEA little did I know what I wild ride it was gonna be, in the best way of course!

On the surface Eliza and Beck don’t match at all, she’s got the picture perfect life on social media and he has no social media life at all, in fact Beck knows just how dangerous it is to put your whole life in the internet. This hacker/security expert has had his own brush with imfyminy and having his privacy violated and will never let it happen again. So when a very embarrassing and damaging video of Eliza surfaces he’s just the person to help her out and maybe make her see that she doesn’t have to on and preforming all of the time.

So normally I role my eyes at MMC that start the relationship with “I’m not looking for love or marriage lets just be friends who bang” cause come on that’s way too much like real life. But Beck’s reasoning comes to light very quickly and so does the knowledge that he’s a goner for this adorable fiery female.

Eliza is a lovable mess of a MFC she looks like she’s got her shit together but on the inside she’s stumbling about trying to make it all work just like the rest of us. She’s also good at deluding herself into thinking that a physical friendship with Beck won’t lead to love and Heartbreak.

The sexual tension is strong with these two but the spicy bit start around 60% and are Loren’s normal brand of light and steamy but vague imagery of the sexy times.

I really enjoyed the Narration for this book! I’ve tried to listen to a couple of Lorens earlier books and had a hard time with the narrater. Desiree Ketchum does a wonderful job of giving voice to both characters.

I’m sad this series is over but so excited for what Loren has for us next!

Thank you to @netgalley and @roniloren for the ARC copy! It was actually an ARC of an audiobook, which is a pretty new think from me. The narrator has a pleasant voice, but it’s a little weird to hear her do the voices for both Eliza and Beckham, I think I prefer when there’s dual narrators for each part. I’m a visual person, so retaining what I’ve heard was a little difficult. I solved the problem by buying the book copy 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Eliza is a marriage counselor working at a shared workspace along with previous book main characters Hollyn and Andi. Beckham is a tech guy, a white knight hacker, who also works at the shared workspace. He works next to Eliza’s office but they have little contact prior to Christmas, when a spontaneous heart to heart about loneliness continues into s trip to an animal shelter (he gets a cat, she gets a dog). There’s a seven year age difference, and Eliza wants the things she thinks a 32 year old should want. Beckham, with a mysterious past, insists he wants none of the marriage, kids, relationship thing. Their chemistry cannot be denied, so after Beckham helps Eliza get out of what is an awful horrible date situation with a viral video accompanying the horror, they give into it.

Listen, it’s hot. Eliza and Beck are SO HOT. I prefer it on the page to the audiobook, that made me blush, but they are so hot. 🥵🌶🔥

I am not sure how Eliza is effective as a marriage therapist when she has such a journey to go through with herself - but I really liked how Beckham brought out her own introspection so that she could grow, and vice versa.

Beckham has an interesting back story and his description is like catnip to me (tall, lanky, inked arms), so I was definitely interested in where they were going and how they were going to resolve their issues when they seem to be completely at odds with each other as to their deepest desires.

@roniloren does a great job with heavy issues. CW: Eliza is overserved, potentially roofied, and exposed in a viral video with negative internet consequences. There is also mention of alcohol abuse.

PS. Finally a Star Wars reference I could get down with - I see you Harrison and Solo ❤️
