I usually like a dominant hero but Blaze veered from dominant to domineering. He made choices for Fay, life altering choices with no input from her.

This was a miss for me the actual plot was thin and the characters more typical of a domestic violence situation. Not what I want in a happy ever after

Fay has loved Blaze forever but he never noticed...or so she thought!!

Not a bad book...very quick read but just goes really off track.

You know what I’m here. Specifically for the sexy times and fast and fun plot. This author always delivers both in spades.

Sizzling heat….

If you are looking for a steamy, blazingly hot (and no holds barred) read than you have found it! Blaze has kept his distance from his sister’s best friend Fay, but now was his time and he was taking it…

I wasn’t sure how to feel about Blaze. Protective, for sure, but also wielding his power in quiet ways that not so subtly shaped Fay’s adult life. He did it with good intentions but I couldn’t give him a full pass either. He loved her and that was how he showed it but, dude, a bit of straight shooting would have gone a long way…

Fay was a quiet fighter. Dealing with the hand she was given, feeling she had few options, but still hoping for a good life with a family that loved her. Simple wants really, yet so elusive…

When the tap turned on between these two, the heat just climbed and climbed. The passion was raw and tinged with emotion (my favourite kind). Did I want more between them? I did. I really liked these characters, including Blair (Blaze’s sister), and wanted to learn more. Why did they love each other to the exclusion of all else? They knew each other for years and I wanted to know what drew to each other and how did it sustain over all this time.

At the end of the day I would recommend this read for its heat and of course the love…

Although this one wasn't a literary masterpiece, it was exactly what I needed it to be. It was a fun, easy read, and the enemies to lovers dynamic was on point. I was expecting a bit more spice considering the cover, but it was still a good read, and one I'd recommend

This book is fast-paced and starts off with Blaze seeing Faye his sister’s best and one of his fights, his underground fights. Her so-called date took her to this and then bailed on her. She knew she was in trouble when she saw Blaze but he had already seen her and then after his fight went to her. When the cops came, he took her out of there with him. This is when it gets tricky because he decides to act on the crush or as he has had for her years, this throws her for a loop and takes her a while to wrap her head around it because she always felt he disliked her.
As you get further into the story there is more violence and more of Blaze wanting to be with Faye and by the time you get to the end author has made everything work. I found this to be a good and fast story.

This one just wasn't for me and I DNF at about 30%. The story didn't seem to make any sense and came out of nowhere. No character building, no explanation for what was going on. I tried, but I just couldn't make this one work. Maybe other people will like it more? At least it was short, so even the 30% or so what I did read didn't take long.

This was a much sweeter read than I’m used to from this author. Kinda of an Insta love vibe but he’s known her his whole life. I loved his OTT pursuit of her and their cute HEA was great. A fun, quick read.

I love the cover of this book and this genre. Fay is taken by her best friends brother and she can’t simply believe he wants her.

This was a very quick read, which did leave me wanting more.

This book reminds me of the takin her Innocence book.
We have a female character who is a virgin/no confidence and is not model thin.
I loved the concept of the taboo brother of best friend vibe but he was over the top and the story read uncomfortable. I loved the street/cage fighting because it helped his alpha vibe work.
I think my issue is Fay she is far too underdeveloped and it comes off to weird like he is taking advantage of her lack of confidence, energy and basic life skills.
since it is a series these issues could be rectified and they probably do but for me it wasnt enough for me to want to finish the series.

It was the perfect read for someone who is going into a reading slump because the plot is light and without many dramas. 

I really enjoyed the book and the characters, but I found the book too short.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. This book was a tad bit short but it was jammed with action and steamy sex scenes! I loved the entire thing from the very first line! I could not stop reading it. Boy loves girl secretly and does all this behind the scenes stuff to make her his. It was so romantic in a "bad boy gone good" way!

I tried. But the first chapter literally threw me in. There is no context all of a sudden the fmc was at the fight and the MC appeared and was telling her she shouldn’t be out of her house. Like what. Can I have some back story to their relationship before he snips at her

Fay sees Blaze (her crush) in a whole new light at a fight.
Blaze decides times up and he's going for it.

This was a hot, quick read about a possessive alpha and the woman he'll go to any length to have and protect!

Well this book starts with 🔥and pretty much never stops.

I’ll say I really never felt that I understood the connection between Blaze and Fay and also felt that he just pushed Fay, especially at first. So while 🔥was there, character development just wasn’t for me.

I always like the girl liking her best friends older brother plot line. It always helps when he has tattoos.

What did I like? Real quick book… only ten chapters but cute. Fay doesn’t have much self esteem and Blaze has a bit too much. It takes awhile for them to both be on the same page and manage their HEA.

Would I recommend or buy? It was cute but short books are never fleshed out enough. Makes it hard to enjoy them. Three stars!

I read a few books by Sam Crescent and I knew it was going to be short and I was going to read them in an hour or two. I was not disappointed, I liked the book because I expected instant love, a possessive and bossy alpha male and a clumsy and inexperienced girl. Fay has a crush on Blaze but she also knows he is off-limits. Blaze, also. had a crush on her, he has done things without her knowing to keep her close to him. When he sees her at the club after his fight, he decides that it is finally time to let her know that she is his and no one else's.
It was hot, steamy, dirty talking, and full of emotional story and I enjoyed it
