ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest opinion. This book was quick, like whiplash. Alpha is a fighting male who has manipulated the relationship for years to hide his attraction. Fay is pretty meek and goes with most of what he says. She is portrayed as a weak female, and he is described as her savior—lots of spicy but minimal substance.

A quick read and it felt like the main point of the book was the spicy scenes, and everything else came second. The main male character is overly controlling and the main female character did not stand up for her wants as much as I would have liked. The fighting story line had intrigue and potential but felt like it was thrown in without much thought.

I was given an Arc copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this review.

This whole thing felt rushed! Maybe if the author had taken their time and added a few extra chapters to explain their history without feeling like it was shoved in haphazardly it would have helped. The whole story line felt like a race to see how fast we could get to a steamy scene and it was so rushed it was uncomfortable. This story had so much potential but I personally felt like the whole thing just felt off and awkward because it was so jumbled together and hurried.
