Dark and twisting but oddly something that you can relate to and then worry why did it feel so relatable. Kept me hooked right till the end. Delicious and very dark. If you love it, you'll love it definitely.

A black comedy where the hero is an incompetent psychopath.
Brian is a troubled and easily irritated man with flexible morals. Passionate about film, he sees film references in everything. As an artist, a surrealist, his love of art, and colour in particular, tend to guide his judgements and decisions.  Many of Brian's challenges in life are a result of an inept social awareness and some fairly politically incorrect ways of thinking. Consequently, these challenges usually lead to even greater dilemmas involving an array of new crimes and misdemeanours for him.
Killing three of his neighbours – albeit in record time, of which he is extremely proud – do nothing to help Brian's situation. Inclined to lie and cheat his way out of, and into, trouble, his options increase once he has become a killer and the murders have been committed. Now, in Brian's mind, any lesser crime has become acceptable and free to use in his bid to escape detection.

This book was a riot. “Which Would You Rather?” by Graeme Puckett was a refreshing read. Deliciously dark and full of humour, it is a well written account of Brian, who is a psychopath, albeit a useless one. Who doesn’t like a psychopath?! An incompetent one is even better! Rather worryingly, I found Brian to be oddly relatable so I’m not quite sure what that says about me. I’d never heard of this author prior to requesting this arc but I’m now sufficiently intrigued that I’d happily pick up another of his books. What caught my attention initially was the books title - Would You Rather being a game my children often like to challenge me with. Which worked out in my favour as it induced me to pick up this book. A thoroughly enjoyable read and I’d recommend this to everyone who enjoys a little dark humour.

My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for an unbiased review.

Full of dark humour but not an easy, fast paced read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

This is darkly humorous and deeply challenging. I found myself relating to the protagonist and then being worried that I found him so relatable! Anyone who has ever questioned right and wrong and who gets to decide this will find this book a fascinating and engaging read.

This book is full of dark humor and is really a fascinating example of the workings of the human mind. The character (Brian) is oddly relatable in some ways, then you question yourself for finding him so relatable. A very well written and addictive read that I highly recommend 👌
