This book gives an interesting and informative view on gender in our current society and how we got here. It reminded me a lot of when I took a women’s studies class in college and began unpacking my own ideas of gender. I do think this will be useful for anyone who is just starting their journey on understanding themselves or understanding others.

The illustrations are lovely and I absolutely loved the art style used by the artist.
I think I would absolutely recommend this book to people that are looking for more information on the subject

As a queer person who has spent a lot of time in queer spaces with a vast range of queer identities, I thought I knew all about gender identity and gender expression, but this book taught me so much more. And as someone currently experimenting with gender labels to see what feels right, I also felt incredibly soothed, understood, and cared for by this book. This book's approach of "take your time" is so lovely and safe. And the amount of gentle "here is where you may have unconscious bias" really helped me check in with myself to be more conscious of these moving forward.

Some things I really loved about this book:
-The presentation. This was presented so gently and in very digestible bites in the layout, with illustrations to keep the eye moving over the page and engaged with the content. The added workbook pages were also excellent, I wish I had a physical copy to really dig into what this book is teaching.
-The careful checking of phrases like "trapped in the wrong body," and other things I think many of us unconsciously say.
-The definitions of different identities. There are many, and there is a lot of overlap within them, so it was nice to have it all laid out in those same easily digestible bites.

I love this book and will be recommending it to many. Thank you so much for the chance to review this book!
