What's not to hate about this book. lol It had the "touch her and die" theme, which I absolutely love. A gorgeous hero with a heart of gold, and lots of steamy fun. Definitely my type of book. lol

ARC received for review

Another good book in this series. Lots of chemistry and drama. We've met these peeps before and get to see some previous ones again.

Dimitri Lenkov is a man with a past he would rather forget; especially since he has fallen for single mom, widow, and his friend, Zamira. Their friendship shifts to romance when it becomes evident that Zamira is in danger and Dimitri becomes her trusted protector.

I have read all of the Red Stone Security Series books. I love the author's suspenseful plots as well as the way she connects past characters with the new ones. This book overall doesn't disappoint; however it lacks the usual page-turning elements I've come to expect. This is a solid 3.5 to 4 star read and I look forward to the next installment in the series.

Deadly Protector by Katie Reu is book 19 in the Red Stone Security Series. This is Dimitri and Zamira story and it was a page turning read. I have enjoyed Ms. Reus writing before and this just adds to my love of her books.

This one leaves me a little torn. I liked it but it was really slow and a little predictable. I enjoyed the characters and the plot, but the rest was just ok. This is not the norm for this series, so I am counting it as a one off and this one is just not for me.

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Net Galley of Deadly Protector . This story is absolutely spectacular . I could not put it down . Zamira Nowak is raising her Twins after her husband's betrayal and death . She puts her kids before herself . She has kepts Demitri at arms length away but maybe now she'll take a chance at love . When danger from her husbands past comes into her life Demitri will do whatever it takes to protect her so they can have a happy ending . This story is well written and the characters are wonderful . It's full of suspense and intrigue . I highly recommend taking the time to read

When I read Deadly Protector just after Honor ‘N Duty, I couldn’t miss the similarities: both stories are about a woman who is bothered by the ghosts of the past of their exes.

But, of course, a hot guy steps in to save the day! Dimitri had met Zamira before. But because she was his therapist, he didn’t want to ask her out. Now that he is finished with his treatment, he asks her out.

When Zamira is bothered by an old acquaintance of her ex, Dimitri stands up for her. Unexpectly, however, he put Zamiora in the spotlight of some other bad guys. If he wants to keep her safe, he needs some help. Luckily, Red Stone Security members are always willing to help out.

Full of suspense and steamy action. What’s not to like? Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

The nineteenth book in Red Stone Security, Deadly Protector is such a great read. This well paced, action packed read brings us the story Dimitri and Zamira. A story of love, family, deceit and vengeance and an ensemble cast of engaging characters made this a compelling read and one I highly recommend.

Loved this installment of the Red Stone Security series - packed with action, suspense, and steamy romance. Dimitri's intriguing background comes into play with Zamira's late husband's past, leading to a few unexpected developments and an exciting end. Looking forward to the next in this series!

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Zamira, a single mom, is definitely attracted to Dimitri from the start. They grow in their friendship and it grows into a sweet romance. Dimitri is a protective gentleman and protects Zamira from some dangerous people.

Zamira finds Dimitri is becoming very special to her but when her kids return from their vacation will Dimitri still want to be with her?

Very nice read.

Deadly Protector is a real "protector romance" for sure! Dimitri has had a crush on single mom Zamira so when she is being stalked, he jumps into action. If you have read the previous books, you are familiar with Zamira and her sisters. Her family is great. Plus, we have met Dimitri's friends in the previous books too, so this is like coming home!

Zamira's former husband was a criminal and now a decade later, one of his criminal buddies needs something. He is sure Zamira still has it and he is going to get it whether or not. The plot moves along at a good pace, and the entire story takes place in about a week. These two have great chemistry and I was certainly engaged in their story. At the end, Dimitri does something dumb that nearly ruins them, which is so irritating. But, otherwise, a solid, quick read!

First I wanted to thank Author Collective 20 for providing an ARC in exchange for a honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of Guarding Her, the previous book in this series, and I really enjoyed it. As soon as I saw the next book in the series was avaliable for request on NetGalley I put my request in. As soon as this book hit my kindle I wanted to read it right away. This is a story of two characters we met in the Guarding Her, Dimitri and Zamira, who are all connected to the Red Stone Security Team. Similar to Guarding Her there was a lot in this book that I really liked and I am just a sucker for a good romantic suspense.

Deadly Protector
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What I loved:
-Series, this is part of the larger Red Stone Security Series and I’m so excited to dive into all of the other books
- Dimitri's backstory, I really enjoyed how Dimitri is not a typical hero in the sense that he didn't do things on the up and up growing up but that helped him develop into the man he became
- Single parent, Zamira is a single parent but it doesn't take away that she is also a woman with desires and can develop romantic relationships.
- Family, this story includes a larger family element but the best part is it’s not blood family just chosen family

Overall this book had everything I look for in a romantic suspense, great romance, spice, and believable relationship building between the main characters. Once I started this book it was really hard to put down and I am already eyeing how quickly I can get to the other books in the series cause I can’t wait to learn about the rest of the Red Stone team. If you love romantic suspense then PLEASE go pick this one up as soon as you can cause its a great stand alone story with a whole series behind it so you can live in this world for a while!

Red Stone Security series amasses it’s nineteenth instalment as one more of their operatives finds his happily ever after in the midst of danger. Widowed and raising twins with the support of her ever growing family, Zamira never saw the danger from her husband’s past coming for her. Dimitri has been in love with this sweet mother for the longest time, but his past keeps him at a safe distance. But once Zamira gets into the cross hairs of evil, all bets are off for Dimitri and he would lay down his life for her and her twins.

All books in this series can be read as stand alones, but Katie weaves stories bringing in past characters and who can resist going back to read the entire series. Another winner for Katie Reus as she highlights the dynamics of a large family with unconditional support, a team of strong and protective operatives always having each other’s backs, and splashes of children and their histrionics, make this story as well as all others in this series, an exceptional read and I have revisited these stories so many times, for comfort and enjoyment.

This light and quick read from Katie Reus is perfect for the romantic at heart.

I just love this series and am so glad there are new installments! I really liked Zamira and Dimitri, and their romance felt like a slow build despite the shorter length of the story. The mystery and action were on point, but I would expect nothing less from this series. I loved Dimitri's protectiveness! Highly recommend!

The nineteenth book in the Red Stone Security series and for me this one of the best ones I’ve read. It’s in the romantic suspense genre and while it can be read as a stand-alone without giving away too many spoilers about earlier books, I’d recommend reading this series in order as previous characters appear so it might help to keep the various relationships straight. These books follow a standard format where the hero, usually a borderline bad boy made good who either works for or has some connection to Red Stone Security falls for the strong willed and independent heroine who then finds herself in danger at some point with the hero riding to the rescue but in the last few books the suspense element has seemed a bit of an after thought and felt rushed. In Deadly Protector however it’s a return to form as the action kicks off pretty much from the start and doesn’t let up until the closing chapters when widow Zamira is accosted by an old acquaintance of her dead husband who then proceeds to threaten her. This gives the hero Dimitri an ‘in’ with Zamira but events soon escalate when Dimitri’s past comes back to haunt him and if he’s to save Zamira he must become an unwilling participant in something he thought he’d put behind him.

I love that you know exactly what you’re getting with this series. Great characters with chemistry,. A story that’s quick and easy to read without any angst and best of all catching up with previous characters and seeing what’s happening in their lives. All in all it’s great way to while away a rainy afternoon reading this book.
