I'll start off with saying that this book is very, VERY informative and jam-packed with examples, figures and annotations. I do think this is better for folks with more of a baseline knowledge of history/government/politics, and I am simply not that person. I found myself a bit overwhelmed by some of the terminology and was googling a lot alongside reading. Would have rated higher if it was a bit more layman friendly, but that could be on me.

I am very interested in politics and governments and when I read the description I knew that this book was one destined for me to read. However the first thing I discovered was that trying to read on my kindle meant that the diagrams were not of any use and so I had to go to my mobile phone to read on the Netgalley Shelf so that I could see the diagrams that backed the writing. Sadly my laptop and PC cannot install that app as they are windows based. The book goes into great detail and I felt that it was too much based on modelling scenario's of societies past so that the government can learn from the previous mistakes. I am a reader not in the Cabinet and so I have no impact on the running of this democratic country. I am sorry to say that I lost the desire to read very early on, skimmed through but could not get any real interest in the slow, dry way that these facts were presented.
I consider that this is really a book for academics and I would recommend it to any politics students at university.

Sorry, I could not finish this book. I apparently misread the blurb, as I thought it was a comparison of constitutional governments across the globe, evaluating their effectiveness. It is instead a book about modeling constitutions based on a certain set of human rights. As I trained in political science, I understand modeling but I am not at all interested in it.

Thank you, publisher, for allowing me to access the ARC. I do wish the author much success - I am sure he will find an audience.

An informative guide simplifying the principles of the democratic constitutions. The author presents the data clearly and uses diagrams and tables to provide a visual perspective. This book helps to digest the complexities of the constitutions for a more transparent understanding.

ARC was provided by Scribe Media via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a very interesting book how she put this together and she did different diagrams and stuff to explain how these elements all work together. She also mentioned famous people in In her book to explain different concepts and how they were related to freedom and liberty.. Each chapter had a different name and she would explain what these things were and then she go more detail also I liked how she would put "underneath to explain how this came about. She was playing right and wrong ideas and how each one had It's sporting next underneath to To explain the contact To explain how things were tied together. Especially like the diagrams that was very interesting in the book and how this was also tied into different chapters..

I got this book free.

As someone who likes politics and governance structure I say this is a really useful book. It covers a lot of philosophy and theory behind the structures that run our world.

Pros: very well structured book with a great amount of detail

Cons: personally I would prefer if there were more pictures and diagrams. But, that's mostly because I like to look at the timeline of events. But overall a very educational book.
