I have been a fan of VCA since before the ghost writer days. I continue to read and mostly enjoy all of the newer books.

Eden's Children is quick read about two children who are adopted from a foster home .
Faith and Trevor were adopted after years in the system. They are very sheltered in their home and never leave to shop or go to school. They do not realize how different their lives are until the neighbor's grandson visits from New York. Both Trevor and Faith try and do everything they can to please their mom. Things quickly change when their mom falls and gets hurt during a storm.
This book was good enough to keep my attention and will keep me coming back for VCA.

Unfourtunalty I couldn't get into this book. As we all know sometimes books can hit us at certain times and this one wasn't being read at the right time. I am hoping to revisit and when I do I will come and give an updated review,

This book was really difficult to get into. Most of the time I could not keep up with what was going on with the characters or the storyline, perhaps it was me. I thought this was the original VC Andrew’s which is my bad. You can tell this is not her original writing. All over the place and just no real story line or character development. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was an interesting read, however a little dark. Im not sure that I am interested in more of these books.
Many thanks to Gallery Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Wow, this was a very good book. The mystery, characters and story was fantastic. The story kept me reading in a couple days, I enjoyed it so much!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers, and V. C. Andrews for allowing me to read and review this book.

When I saw this book available on Netgalley, I was excited because I have enjoyed all of V. C. Andrews's books that I have read in the past. Nevertheless, her books are not for the faint of heart. Her books are very much GOTHIC fiction and are very dark.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and always look forward to reading more by Andrews. But there are some dark topics and themes within this book; however that is what will keep you wanting to read more. You believe you know what is going to happen, but think "There's no way THAT is what is going to happen." so you just have to keep reading to find out. You will not want to put this book down, but it will very likely keep you up at night. I would not recommend reading this book before bed.

This book is extremely well written and the characters are fleshed out amazingly. You will root for some characters and hope the worst for others, but you may not be sure which characters that is until you are far into the book.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a dark and disturbing read. I would also recommend this book to anyone who liked Flowers in the Attic by this same author.

Very strange. This definitely follows the outline that V.C. herself would write. It feels like a hollow re-hashed Flowers in the Attic, but that’s okay. I finished it fairly quickly and more than a few times did my jaw drop. Super strange book, yet looking forward to the next one to see what happens.

When I requested this book on Netgalley, I had high hopes of getting something even close to V.C. Andrews's original writing. I'm fully aware that these are ghostwriters, but maybe they took a few notes and continued her amazing work. But what I found was poorly executed and an extremely cheap attempt at shocking the audience.

The first few pages are a garbled mess and I should've just stopped there. The entire book sounds like it's told by a small child (which I thought was the main character's POV), but somehow she wasn't even a small child anymore. Skip this one, and I definitely am done with Andrews's ghostwriters.

I should have known that this would be more of the same from Andrew Neiderman but oh, how I hoped for more. I supposed the days of excellent books under the V.C. Andrews name are over. The writing was so bad with the same characters we've seen over and over.

One of my favorite authors but this one was hard to keep my interest but I do love her older books.

Eden's children is a modern-day story told In the style of V.C. Andrews. It is likely the first of a series that tell the story of two young people who have been adopted into a previously childless family. The children are well kept and well-taught but isolated from other children and adults by the mother, a woman who is paranoid and as the story progresses more and more obsessed with the maturation of the two. The father, who seems to have it more together is a long-haul trucker who is away for extended periods of time. The two young folks encounter a neighbor and it starts a twisting part of their story that ends in tragedy in more ways than one. If you like V. C. Andrew's stories you will enjoy this one. It has all the titillation, mental illness, and weird characterizations of her work. Thanks to #NetGalley#Eden'sChildren for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I've loved VC Andrew's since I was 12 and ready Flowers in the Attic. Now I have almost all her books. I'm not sure I read the entire story. Amazon shows this book is 320 pages long but it was only 198 pages in NetGallery. So where are the other 120 pages?
The first 3 chapters were boring as they were just endless jumbled and meaningless thoughts that didn't even set the scene for the story. I wanted to give up on reading it. But after that, it read like a traditional Andrews story. I really enjoyed it thereafter. The plot was engrossing and I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

Fans of V.C. Andrews will enjoy Eden’s Children. It has a classic V.C. Andrews plot in which underprivileged children are taken in by a disturbed family with secrets to hide. It keeps you guessing until the end.

I read my first V.C. Andrews book when I was 13 or 14 years old. I remember loving the Flowers in the Attic and the Heaven series, along with the stand alone, My Sweet Audrina. It’s been years so I was definitely interested in this new novel, Eden’s Children.

I almost stopped reading 50 pages in. The sentences were choppy and yet it felt like one big rushed thought trying to escape the pages. It was jumping around and didn’t have a sense of cohesiveness. I decided to keep reading and ended up finishing the book. While I didn’t love it, it brought back the nostalgia of those twisted original novels.

This book definitely followed the author’s pattern of a twisted family story. In that way, it did not disappoint. It was a fast read (2 sittings) so that was also a plus. I am interested to read the next book in this new series and then decide from there how I feel about the writing of this ghost writer.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #Simon&Schuster #GalleryBooks for an eARC of #Eden’sChildren by #V.C.Andrews

While I'm a sucker for almost any VC Andrews books, this was not as good as may of the other books I've read. It was kind of predictable, dark (in an icky way), characters weren't that great.

I wanted to like this book, but I was disappointed. It was pretty much a replica of every other VC Andrews boo. I think the ghost writer should just stop at this point.

EDEN’S CHILDREN, Eden book 1
V. C. Andrews
Mystery

This book presents two adopted children by one very strict adoptive mother. As the mom isolates the children more and more from the outside world, strange things start happening within the house.
This was a twisted disturbing book. Including an almost incestuous scene. Although this was a very creepy book, I loved it. There could be some really triggering scenes in it. With all that said, it was a great book and I rate it a solid 5 out of 5 stars just for the mystery of it all.

I thought this book was amazing. V.C andrews has done it again and wrote an excellent book. The plot was so good and the characters were great. I love Vc andrews books. I always have. I will definitely be buying a copy of this book.

1/5 stars! A huge disappointment to any loyal VC Andrews fans. I recognize that since her passing, VC's work has been ghost-written. What I don't understand is how whoever is making those decisions felt this ghostwriter was the appropriate choice. What was special to VC was the ability to delicately balance between the horrors of the world and making it palatable. This ghostwriter has none of those skills. This was a monstrous read that had me sick to my stomach at parts. Please leave the memory of her work in peace if it can't be better produced.

I couldn't get into this one. I have always been a fan of V.C. Andrews and was excited to get this ARC but it was not what I was hoping for. The angle of child abuse/pornography was too much in this one and very disturbing.

Thank you to Netgalley and publisher for my ARC.
