Not sure which number this is in the series, but wasn't lost (first I've read). Really enjoyed this cozy mystery. Willa, who owns a cheese store and her group of friends work to find the killer of diva Phoebe. Liked this one, and the possible romance of her and detective Heath. Love the recipes at the end too, and want to try the jalapeno grilled cheese. yum

Moss has done it again; she’s managed to not only write incredibly likable characters but has also perfectly balanced the clues & red-herrings to keep you sleuthing out the killer right to the end. And can I just say that Moss’s descriptions of Loretta the betta fish are delightful, “Usually she was captivated by Ted Allen, wiggling her long red tail like a flirty flamenco dancer’s dress…,” I mean who doesn’t love Ted Allen (snicker). As with her previous book, be ready to appease the inevitable cheesy cravings you’ll get from not only the delicious sounding food/cheese description but the included recipes. This is the second book in the Cheese Shop Mystery series, so be sure to pick up book one, Cheddar Off Dead, to get caught up with Willa, her friends and the crew at Curds & Whey.

When I read the first book Cheddar Off Dead, I quickly became a fan of A Cheese Shop Mystery series. A new cozy mystery series about cheese? Yes, please!

I'm happy to say that everything I liked from the Cheddar Off Dead is back in Gone for Gouda. The charming characters, setting, mystery, and of course cheese, makes this series special. I truly enjoyed reading this book. If you like cozy mysteries and cheese, this series is for you!

My thanks to St. Martin's for a digital copy of this book for my review. I look forward to reading the next book in this series: Curds of Prey!
