Two sweet novella, A Chance Inheritance and A Third Wish. Not new stories, but a clean romance read. Will leave you wishing for more. Great for that fast read to fill a few hours. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #AChanceInheritance

This book holds two stories of loss and recovering. In typical Carolyn Brown fashion, what you get are a couple of "down home" stories of coming together and getting on with life while discovering that it still has much to offer.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablance and NetGalley for the gifted copy. All thoughts are my own.

This is really two easy to read novellas about family. In the first (the title story), cousins discover there's more to Catfish, Texas than they know- and there's more to the three of them than they expected, It's not surprising and the characters will feel familiar. In the second, a pair of sisters learn that their mother kept a big secret. No spoilers (although I suspect other reviewers will mention it). Carolyn Brown's fans will be pleased. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC, Oh- and there's a teaser for a new Sharon Sala novel.

A Chance Inheritance by Carolyn Brown is a short but satisfyingly entertaining read. The three Cornell cousins, Lanie, Jodie and Becky spent time when they were youngsters at Granny Lizzie's place in Catfish, Texas each summer. They made wonderful memories there. When Granny Lizzie passed away she left her house and business, Catfish Fisherman's Hut, to the three cousins. When all three finally arrived in Catfish they were thankful for their grandmother's generosity as all they had just experienced life changing events and they needed the comfort of Granny Lizzie's. They knew she loved them and they could still feel her love in her house and business. They were glad that they all got along and decided to stay. I really liked the characters in this story. They are so genuine. I could feel their love for Granny Lizzie flowing off the pages. I found this story quite heartwarming. I love Ms. Brown's writing style.

Two excellent stories by Carolyn Brown. In the first one, Lainie leaves her groom right before she is supposed to get married as he is too controlling and she hadn't seen a way out before then. She and her two cousins inherited her grandmothers bait shop and they were going there to live. They were at peace for once and Becky found someone she could live with forever. A very good story

The second story was about two sisters that upon their mother's death discovered that their mother had some secrets. One of them was who Jessica's father is. She goes to meet him and finds her true love. A sweet story

I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

A pair of heartwarming tales from Carolyn brown and a few teaser chapters from Sharon Sala.
I really hope this is an intro to a series. I loved this story of three cousins and the gift from their grandmother. Ms. Brown talent shines in this story. We learn why each woman is the way she is, as she learns herself. They mature and grow as they deal with their grandmother’s gift and find the closeness they lost dealing with life. The supporting characters are awesome. I will wait impatiently foe more on these characters.
The Third Wish
A young woman finds the answer to the question she’s asked all her life….Where’s my dad? After her mom passes away and she finds his letters. Her curiosity brings her face to face and initially she is very sorry she was so curious. Later things changed greatly for her bringing her all she ever wanted. Great story. Both are masterpieces of contemporary love stories.
Sharon Sala’s teaser chapters will have you looking for this book.
I requested and received a NetGalley Arc gratis and was thrilled with it. I offer my opinion freely. I highly recommend.

This book is two novellas, both of them have enjoyable stories with the predictable happy endings. The first is about two sisters who inherit a bait shop from their Grandmother. The second is about a young woman who has never known her Father. She sets out to meet him. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

What do a runaway bride, a free spirit, and a corporate exec have in common? Besides all being down on their luck, Lainie, Jodi, and Becky are Lizzie Cornell's granddaughters. Upon inheriting their grandmother's home and family bait shop, the three cousins return to Catfish, Texas, grieving Lizzie's passing and hoping to find the fresh start they all need.

Turns out cohabitating together and running the Catfish Fisherman's Hut isn't at all like the idyllic summers they spent as children on the banks of the Red River. The days are long and hot, the tourists demanding and rude. And then there's Chris, a local river guide who seems to have eyes only for Becky.

But Lizzie's death has set in motion a chain of events that will cause a new generation of Cornell women to come together. And thanks to this chance inheritance, some local fishermen, and the love of their Granny Lizzie, the Cornell cousins discover that sometimes an ending is really the beginning of a brand-new happily ever after.

A short and sweet novella about coming of age, loss, and finding your way in life.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

I loved both of the stories in this book. Laninie was a true runaway bride. She got in her car right before walking down the aisle and drove away not knowing where she was going. She would call her Becky and Jodi later she called them and they were at Granny Lizzie 's house. She had left the them house and bait shop. Laininie was going to me then there. See what they decide to do after the 3 get together. The

The 2nd. story is about 2 sisters Ashley and Jessica whose mother takes them to a beach in Pensacola Florida for Ashley's birthday, They find a bottle with a genie in it and they each got 3 wishes , this the story begins. Both very enjoyable reads.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This book is a cute story about a runaway bride and a grandmother’s death and 3 sisters and an inheritance. IT was super cute but I did not realize it was so short, I wanted more. It’s very fast paced and I really enjoyed it.

Cousins Lanie, Jodi, and Becky Cornell return to Catfish, Texas, after inheriting their grandmother’s small home and family bait shop. The three used to enjoy visiting when they were younger, but things are a little different as adults. Each has issues with the lives they left behind and must decide whether they’ll return to those lives or start fresh in Catfish.

A sweet, very quick read, the book contains two novellas, the second being The Third Wish. I would have enjoyed it more as a full-length novel. I loved the characters and settings in both stories.

This book has two novellas in it.
The first one is called A Chance Inheritance. I loved the story.it was very, very short. It could have been easily been written into a infer book. I felt like so much was left unfinished. This book left me feeling happy.
The Third Wish:
This was a sweet novella. Rocky and Jessie are an interesting couple. The author described the settings so much that I felt as though I was there with them.
thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

This was surprisingly a three part book with three separate stories, all focusing on the Southeastern and Southwestern US. The characters were real and believable. The setting was rural and small town, which was a delightful change from many books. The romances were very interesting and appropriately written about. If you enjoy romantic situations in small towns, you’ll definitely want to read this one!
