I enjoyed this first time read for me by this author. Julia is the daughter of a Baron. She is taking care of her illegitimate son and to protect her family's reputation, she has been living in anonymity. Julia's son Jeremy is the heir of the Barding earldom, and she travels to London with her son to the Earl's home. While there, she meets the Earl's man of business, Miles, and he provides an offer with a solution to her predicament and the possibility of a new life. The story was sweet and quite engaging from start to finish. The cast of characters were a bit large which caused a little bit of confusion for me, but I found the the introductory presentation of characters quite helpful and it helped me to keep track of the characters. All in all, an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more by this author.
I received a complimentary copy from BookSirens and Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I rather enjoyed reading A Westminster Wedding by Kathleen Buckley. There was a perfect mix of romance and deception in this highly recommended book.

Several times I was ready to throw in the towel, to stop reading, but I persisted and sped read. The language seemed stilted and didn't flow well it also seemed too wordy without any reason for it but to add extra descriptions rather than dialogue,
I waited and waited for the romance to appear but it just didn't it wasn't just clean it was non-existent. All in all not for me. I received a special copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A Westminster Wedding is the story of Julia St. John, a spinster raising a toddler, in the country under the name of widow Julia Perry. Her father learns that the child's father has died by a inadvertent response by her half sister Cecilia, he offers Jeremy to them. Miles Halliwell, Barding’s man of business, is sent to discover whether this is a ruse or truth. If the child is the heir of William, then the child should be brought to the family.

Julia, the mother of the illegitimate child has plenty of proof he is the late heir's son. She accompanies the child, named Jeremy, to the Earl of Stretton's estate, and plans to leave him there and return to her former life, but the Dowager countess insists she stay.

Miles Halliwell is very observant and has come to some conclusions about Julia and Jeremy. After disclosing those to Lavinia a plan is concocted to insure that Jeremy is somehow made legitimate, despite all evidence to the contrary.

To protect her family's reputation, Julia St. John has given up everything to live in obscurity with an illegitimate son. After a recent harsh letter from her father she realizes she has no future in society, until Miles suggests a possible solution and a new life, what does a few more lies matter at this point.

I really enjoyed this book. I was engaged from start to finish and couldn't wait for the ending although it was wrapped up a bit to quickly. It makes me want to read more about this family.

There are many characters to keep straight and it was a little wordy. But after getting used to the cadence it was very entertaining. I loved Lavinia and the whole time I pictured her as Maggie Smith's character from Downton Abbey. I highly recommend this book.

This book blurb intrigued me .
End of the story
The writing is too crowded too many description thoughts too many point of views difficult and involuted phrases
The plot twists
I did detected what it was at the third chapter before reading it
This book has zero romance
The idea is good but I struggled a lot and skipped and skimmed a lot too
2 stars one for the idea and one for the hero
I just reviewed A Westminster Wedding by Kathleen Buckley. #AWestminsterWedding #NetGalley
