My library does not own this title. I do not know why, but I will not be recommending it for purchase. It's useful because the lifting flaps provide hands-on interaction for kids and an exploration object-permanence. Also, kids like unicorns? All of the benefits of this book were done better by other authors in more engaging and well-written books.

My toddler enjoyed this book. I think it being short works for someone of his age around 3. But for slightly older, the length would be best a little longer.

This is a 4 page lift the flap board book about a child who knows there is a unicorn hiding in their house. The flaps and the illustrations are fun. However, the story is severely lacking. It could use a few more pages and expand the story for a more rounded story arc.

With flaps, tabs, and small pop-ups, this should be a popular book for toddlers even though it contains only three spreads. A little girl is sure a unicorn is living in her house – can she find it? She looks in the closet, bathtub, and under the bed. The text is offered in one sentence per page, and the graphic-style full color artwork depicts the little girl with tan skin and brown hair. A well-done but minimal offering.

I would imagine that this would be fun as a physical copy obviously... so given I got the ebook - I was sad to have missed out on lhe fun elements for this book.

This is a very short little pop-up book. I liked the story but really wanted more from it since it was so adorable.

Amelia has no doubt in her mind that a unicorn is residing in her house but she cannot find it. Where on earth can it be hiding?

The reader is invited to join her in a search to expose and befriend the beautiful creature. This fun interactive board book will have little ones lifting flaps, pulling tabs, and opening pop-ups to find its hiding place.

Kids will delight in spotting the evasive unicorn hiding in Amelia's closet, blowing fun rainbow bubbles in her bathroom, and curled up under Amelia's bed covers.

"Oh, THERE you are!" Amelia laughed.
"I've been looking all over for you!

Kids will love the peekaboo element and the colourful detailed illustrations. Interactive books are perfect for this targeted age group. This short book will have little ones returning to playfully read it again and again.

This brightly illustrated board book is short and sweet. The interactive elements help to demonstrate object permanence and cause and effect to young children.
The story is short and simple.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me a free digital copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review.

Cute short story about how one little girl believed there was a unicorn in her home. The illustrations were cute. Wish it was a little longer though. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

This was a very cute short book for children that has little pull up tabs for children to see what is behind the slide. It could however, use a couple of more pages.

An interactive book about Amelia who is most definitely sure a unicorn is living in her house! Her mom doesn’t believe it—so is it real? Is it hiding somewhere?

I know this is a small book for young children, but it fell a bit short. Or it felt like it was missing something; maybe a page or two to make it more exciting to see if Amelia can indeed find the unicorn.

But I am sure young readers will love it, since it has unicorn’s, bubble’s and pop up flaps to search for the unicorn.

Happy reading!♥️

This is super short and has two pages that are exactly the same. I think with a revision it could be a very cute book for 1-3 year olds.

Thank you Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute book with fun characters and a well flowing story. I particularly loved the pop-up tabs and thought they were well thought out and placed within the book. The graphics were colourful and fun and I feel the book would be quite engaging to the young audience.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

So slight, I am now sure I castigated the publishers for not sending out the full thing the last time something similar cropped up. Anyway, here up crops a unicorn, the end. It's colourful, it's interactive, and there is a unicorn. This does go back to being a tool to get baby hands used to using a book, instead of a book per se, but even then it feels slender.

Unicorn is a cool pop-up book! I couldn't get the full effect from the digital form, but the unicorn search was really fun!

A super cute lift-the-flap book about a unicorn who is hiding in a little girl's house. Toddlers will love discovering the unicorn hiding in each picture. My only complaint is that it's pretty short. I wish it was longer. Overall, a book toddlers will enjoy!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All thoughts are my own.
