As someone with very little knowledge of the Tarot, I found this book to be informative and interesting.
The information was very concise and covered all aspects of the cards.
As a novice, I would have liked a little more information regarding the history of the Tarot and perhaps a conclusion to the book would have been nice, but I think this book is meant to be more of a quick reference guide than a proper introduction to the Tarot.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me a free digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I will add my review to Goodreads once the title is available on their site.

First of all, what a beautiful book, the artwork through out is stunning. Also, the information was concise but informative for each tarot card. My only point for critique is that I would have liked a longer introduction, and perhaps a conclusion section, with a bit more information on tarot through out history and its various iterations around the world.

Tarot fascinates me as they are a highly simbolic objects and some of the are funny or very well designed.
This is a reference guide to Rider-Waite and it's useful if you want to learn or need some refresh.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

I've always queried Tarot card readings etc but saw this and thought I will give this book a go. I'm into other spiritual things so thought it would only be fair to give Tarot a go and this book has opened my mind up to it more.

This book is a great intro to the standard Rider-Waite Tarot deck containing the 78 classic cards. It is not a "how-to" guide to Tarot reading, but rather gives a comprehensive look at each individual card and its possible interpretations. For each card, a full-page image of the card is shown, with the opposite page offering brief background on the subject depicted on the card, followed by possible interpretations corresponding to the card, both upright and reversed. While I am not a Tarot practitioner myself, I have always been interested in looking up any Tarot-related references I come across in literature -- ranging from the numerous ones in TS Eliot's poetic masterpiece 'The Waste Land', to the reference to the 'lightning-struck tower' in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince -- and this book is perfect for that purpose! I would highly recommend this book, with its simple and elegant layout, as a good reference for anyone interested in knowing more about individual Tarot cards.
