I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This is a picture book about friendship and wanting to be the center of attention. |

This story is incredibly heartwarming and informative. I think this book could be utilized in many ways in an elementary classroom, from literacy to SEL lessons and potentially more. I would love a physical copy of this book for my classroom! |

Susi Schaefer's The Glow Show is about a bio-luminescent squid who loves to dance and twirl around. The more he does this his friends begin to get upset with him showing off so much! When Glow gets lost one day, he realizes he doesn't need to show off for his friends. He just needs to be a friend, the type of friend who will look for you when you get lost and bring you back. I read this with my granddaughte4r and she loved the illustrations and talking about being a good friend and not a show off! |

Thank you NetGalley & Sourcebooks for the opportunity to read this book. My son (4) & I really enjoyed it!! We have read it over 10 times and he still is as amazed as the first time we got to read it. He loved the facts at the end and that Glow helps his friends at the end. It is such a cute story we will be adding it to our physical shelf when we are able to. (: |

Glow is a squid loves twirling and dancing for his fans. The Glow Show teaches about the concept of bioluminescence. It also shares a social/emotional message of not always needing to be the center of attention. It provides for a great discussion about friendships and how to maintain them. The illustrations are vibrant and full of life. I think it would have been nice if the reason Glow lost his glow was included in the context of the book. It seemed abrupt and my students were confused as I was reading it to them. Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Kids for the opportunity to read an advanced reader's copy of this children’s book for an honest review. |

This was a cute and educational book for kids. I read it to mine and they've asked for it more than once since then. I can't give it higher praise than that, honestly. If you're looking for something cute to read to your kid that's also educational but a bit sneaky about it, this is one to look to. |

Beautiful illustrations! I was confused by the message of the story. As a school social worker, I would not use this in my practice other than as a fun read. |

I am absolutely mesmerised by the artwork in this! I truly felt like I was looking at something that was glowing. Glow's story is one so many people can probably relate to - everyone can do with friends. This was short, sweet, colourful, and had amazing facts about squid and bioluminescence in the back that was fun and educational at the same time. A must have for any fan of the deep sea! |

This book reminds me of a certain Disney film and is just as cute. A good reminder and lesson to always be proud of who you are but also that we can learn so much from others without trying to be just like them. The illustrations are wonderful, kids will love. |

The Glow Show is such a sweet book! The writing flows well and the artwork is incredible. I very much enjoyed the information about squids and the explanation of Glow’s glow at the end. A good story for kids of all ages! |

The colourful cover of this book drew me in immediately. The bright colours and cute illustrations were continued to be found throughout the book. My children were so excited to read this! They love sea life and were eager to see what would happen next with Glow as we read. The end of the story had some fun facts about squids which I thought were interesting but I think they may resonate more for older children than my two (ages 2 and 4) as they just wanted to get back to the pictures. |

Cute book, great illustrations. I think children will enjoy it, but the moral is very surface level. Overall cute. Thanks for the opportunity to read and review. |

Really cheesy and heavy handed. Thanks to publisher and NetGalley for an ecopy to read with my kids and review. |

Great art, colorful pages, short sentences (and some new vocab words too). Would be wonderful to use in a unit on friendship, being kind, or sea-life in general. Back pages of the book have facts about some of the animals you read about. |

Vivid, colorful illustrations, a fun story and factual information presented as well. Very enjoyable! |

A STEM based children's book for beginning readers fill with vivid fun colors! Glow is a squid who really likes attention. Through Squid’s adventure we learn along with him the value of friendship and lessons about working with others to create something even better! The artwork in this book is captivating and sure to keep your young readers attention. I absolutely LOVE that the story also includes fun facts about Squids and other facts from the story. Great addition to any young reader’s home library!! Grateful to have received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley & SOURCEBOOKS Kids, Sourcebooks Explore |

Picture book delight with vivid illustrations and a social emotional message sure to relate to readers. |

This colorful picture book offers to lesson that it is more important to have friends to spend time with and learn from them to have adoring fans. It also provides facts about jellyfish and bioluminescence in the end pages. This would be perfect for elementary students. |

This was such a sweet and adorable tale about how we all shine when surrounded by friends and people we love. My family is bonkers for cephalopods so I was very excited for us to read this together. The overreaching theme of the book was a great lesson, told in a simple but lovely way, and the illustrations were so bright, fun and colourful. A fun read all round. |

The Glow Show By sushi Schaefer Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A short story about sea creatures who are adorable by the way in the Illustrations as well as their interactions with one another. This is a children’s book that encourages and demonstrates the value of including others sharing the spotlight as well as the world as much less scary when you are surrounded with those who care about you and not all alone. I gave this book four stars As towards the end some of the pages had quite a bit more wording on them than the previous pages did therefore not really consistently following with the reading level that the book initially started with. Overall this is a great and positive story that many children will be able to resonate and take away points towards social structure from. Thank you net galley in the author for my a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review |
