This has been the book I have been waiting for in this series. Rebecca Zanetti did not disappoint. This was such a great book. This book has excitement, angsty characters and of course hot crazy love. The Dark Protector series is one of my favorite series. I love how all the books in the series interact and bring back some previous characters. I give this book more than 5 stars if possible. I cant wait what comes next.

Rebecca Zanetti shines while fighting darkness with the seven once again. Garrett, the man we’ve wanted a story from for years finally met his match, despite her hiding in plain site. Destiny is everything we’ve been looking for in a mate for the vampire demon hybrid Kayrs. She’s smart sassy and has that whole mysterious side that has Garret running in circles to find answers to, The ending was satisfying and sweet, but coupled with clear disaster regarding the infamous evil of Ulric. I can’t wait for the next book , dare I hope it’s the story of one vampire female, Hope.

Another superbly written paranormal by Ms. Zanetti. It a story of an immortal hero and the love of his life. Destiny meets Garrett and sparks fly. A good ending to this fabulous book

I loved this book. Garrett meets Destiny and she says "It's you". Of course, he is immediately suspicious. He takes her on his bike and off they go. Strange things happen throughout the story. He doesn't know quite what to make of it, but he knows he wants her. His friends and family are suspicious of her also, but do like her. Then she tries to kill him. That changes the story quite a bit. It's a wonderful story that has alot going for it. It also was great seeing characters from previous stories. I always like that in a series. I hightly recommend

I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

*Mild Spoilers* Some familiarity with the series is assumed.

It's been three years since the last book, during which time Garrett has been searching for the mate he's dreamed about. Destiny walks into the diner he's in, literally and figuratively. Destiny "Dessie" Applegate had a vision of Garrett, too, and recognizes him in the diner. Fate seems to have brought them together—but Dessie's human and dying of a brain tumor. Drawn to Dessie, Garrett puts her on the back of his bike and they end up at Realm HQ, where Emma studies Dessie. Things start taking a turn there, and never stop. The book is one surprise, one plot twist, after another. It's jaw-dropping and a wild ride on a rumbling Harley.

I don't recommend reading the book as a standalone. At the very least, readers should have read the Realm Protectors, if not the entire Dark Protectors series. It's well worth it.

Garrett's Destiny, the latest addition to Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protector series, will not disappoint the series followers. It's time for demon Garrett Kayrs, the future king, to find the mate he has been seeking while working with the Circle of Seven and all the Dark Protector gang of demons, vampires, Grizziles, fairies, witches and more for the protection of their world. They're all ready to stand up against the Kurjans and the potential arrival of Ulric who could turn the world upside down but maybe not the method the Seven took to fight when the time comes. And now the introduction of Destiny Applegate, Dessie, Garrett's mate. Yet will she survive the tumor in her head let alone her often strange and battering behavior. As always the sparks fly between the man and his mate and the story is packed with twists and turns, humor, action, suspense, family, Kurjans, Ulric and alternate worlds. Another fabulous story from Zanetti leaving you with the desire for the next book in the series and wondering whose story is up next.

Garrett’s story was AMAZING! It was everything I’d been waiting for and more. I never expected all the crazy twists and turns that popped up making me gasp and dig deeper into the book.

Dessie was nothing as I expected. And I loved that. I loved HER! She was such an intriguing heroine. With her personal struggle at the heart of her character, I couldn’t help but try to figure out what was going to happen prior to it happening. I was wrong every…single…time. Which intrigued me more.

Garrett was every bit as alpha as his father before him, which is why I am a huge fan of this series. (And I hate reading a series!) His frustration at the situation he found himself in with Dessie had me smiling one moment and then worried sick the next. I truly didn’t know what was going to happen to these characters.

This is definitely one of the most intense books of the series. The angst, the drama, the danger. It carried me through until almost the very last page. I highly recommend this book and while it could possibly stand alone, I really feel that you need to read the previous books.

Awesome read! I fell into the story and didn't want it to end. It's hot, slightly twisted and at times fun. I loved when Dessie got her back up. She really has a story you need to read.

What a roller coaster ride this book was! This entire series has been so much fun to read and Garrett’s story did not disappoint. It was fun to read, action packed and there were so many twists and surprises…I really had no idea how it was going to end! And what an ending!!!

Garrett has been searching for his mate for a long time. He has seen her on the back of his bike and he knows she’s going to try to kill him! Not a very nice thing to do to your mate, but he’s not worried. She can’t hurt him unless she decapitates him! Enter Destiny Applegate.

Dessie has been told she has a tumor and is going to die. She doesn’t have a lot of time left. So why not have some fun with a hunky biker?! Garrett’s all for some fun and he can’t sense that she’s enhanced, but then why does his mating mark keep showing up?!

As the story progresses we learn that it’s not a normal tumor…her brain has been tampered with and then they determine it was while she was at an “academy” her aunt sent her to. As they try to figure out what they need to do to eradicate the tumor, more details keep popping up about Dessie’s life.

Garrett is trying to do everything he can to save his mate. If only he could keep her from jumping into the hell world where Ulric lives! And the plot thickens!

Rebecca Zanetti knows how to reel in a reader and she most definitely did with Garrett’s s Destiny. Action, love, sexy times, humor and it’s always fun to see the whole gang again! This book deserves way more than 5 stars! I enjoyed this book immensely!

Finally we get Garrets book, I've been waiting and hoping for his book for a long long time now. It didn't disappoint. Previously we got some clues as to Garrets mate from the dreams he talked about and I was honestly worried for him. He already had so much pressure from all sides that a mate who was a hardass trying to kill him, sounded like it was going to be a rough ride. I should never doubt Ms.Zannetis story telling, she obviously had plan from the start and made Dessie the perfect match for Garret. She was strong but had a soft core that I think Garret really needed in a mate. This book continues the storyline of The Seven as we get closer and closer to a show down with Ulric. This book revealed a lot of new information and had lots of twists and turns that I was constantly trying to figure out where the author was going to take the story. The odds were heavily stacked against Garret and Dessie but they never gave up trying to find a way to beat those odds. Looking forward to the next book, I'm wondering if it might be Hope's book, which I already know is going to be a look good. Recommend this addition to the series and the series as a whole for all my PNR lovers out there.

P.S. If you aren't team Pax, we can't be friends. Sorry not sorry.

I think it is safe to say that anyone who has read the Dark Protector series has been waiting for Garrett's book a long time. It did not disappoint! Garrett has had the weight of the Realm on his shoulder's since he was kid. There is no question he would grow up to be an Alpha male, like the rest of the family. I've enjoyed seeing him away from the realm and as part of the Seven, paving a path that his family may not have envisioned for him. It's hard to write a review without giving anything away, so I'll just say that Destiny has such an interesting background in this story and I really liked her as a mate for Garrett.

This book is fast paced and full of action. There is great chemistry between the main characters and the fight with Ulric is really heating up. I can't wait for Hope's book to see how this arc of the series ends!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the Publisher and Netgalley.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC of this book. Garrett’s Destiny is the 15th book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series. I have been waiting for Garrett to have his own book and finally it’s here! I thought this was a really interesting set-up for the book.
Destiny is human, or at least she appears to be at first. Garrett knows he can’t mate with a human but is attracted to her at first sight.
The fact that Destiny realizes she can’t remember much about her past was a unique plot point as well.

There was a lot of chemistry between the two main characters and I liked seeing a lot of the side characters from previous books as well.

I will say, after reading other paranormal series and rereading this one, I’m growing to dislike the controlling nature of the male main characters in this series. They constantly repeat that they just want to protect their mates and they would never force or hurt their mates but I find it hard to believe that they respect their mates.

Overall, the series is engaging and I am interested to see how it continues.

Oh Garrett. You poor thing you. Not exactly what you expected is it? Hmmm…Destiny. What a strong woman that is able to stand toe to toe with you. Nothing like you expected. And you wanted to deny it. I’ll say it again, you poor thing. She is just what you needed and in the end, you realized it. The journey was interesting and fun and I can’t wait for the next chapter in this wonderful series that I’ve been reading from its beginning. Another aspect of this book was that we got to visit with some of the other characters that we fell in love with from other stories. Good job Rebecca, good job.

3 stars - I liked it

Like most people who have read this series from the beginning, I had been eagerly waiting for Garrett’s story. Garrett has been with us throughout this whole series and we have seen him grow into an independent and dangerous man. He is heir to the throne and will do anything to protect his family, including become a member of the Seven.

A lot happens with the overarching story in this one. It’s been three years since the events in the previous book and Garrett finally finds his mate, but he doesn’t realize it at first. Garrett and Destiny were a solid couple and I enjoyed their story. Dessie was an extremely strong woman who believes she is dying of a brain tumor and is trying to live her life to the fullest. She was a great heroine and I liked that she wasn’t afraid to stand up to Garrett or any of the other men when necessary. Garrett is an alpha male who is extremely protective and determined to protect his family, and destroy Ulric. Garrett’s controlling nature was off putting for me at times. I got really angry at him in one scene because he says it's Dessie’s decision when they will mate but then turns around and tries to use the mating mark as blackmail to prevent her from having a surgery. It was very frustrating, especially considering I was really expecting to love Garrett.

One of the great things in this book was that it spent a lot of time with Garrett’s family so we got to see a lot of the original couples. It has been a long time since we checked in with some of these couples and it was just great seeing them again. I especially liked the happy news during these troubled times. It also gave us more time with Hope. I am very interested in seeing how her story plays out because she is the Lock. I am a bit tired of the love triangle between Hope/Pax/ Drake that is going on. Also, Hope is being very naive where it comes to Drake and I don’t understand why she trusts him.

For the overarching story, the Kurjan’s are still finding new ways to attack the Realm and members of the Seven. They have gotten very creative at it. We also finally have the event that has been building for the past few books, Ulric’s release. It was a bit surprising it happened in this book because it was very sudden. I will be very interested in seeing how the Seven deal with the situation in the next book. Overall, this was a good addition to the series, even with my complaints with Garrett.

Trigger Warnings: brain tumor; kidnapping; abuse; brainwashing

We're in the 4th quarter of this story arc. This raises the stakes with some developments in the ongoing war and fast forwards the narrative. Des and Garrett have been hinted at for a bit with his dreams. It was wonderful to finally get their book. Its angsty and sweet and the ending is explosive. I'm unsure who the next books MCs will be but whoever it is, I can't wait.

This book deserves 10 stars. I couldn't out it down. This is absolutely my favorite one of the whole series. What a story! I loved how they met, then everything in between until the end. Found myself holding my breathe during some of the fight scenes. Just loved how it ended! What a prefect book.

Fast paced, page turning, emotional churning paranormal ride. I love this series and the looming horizon that is coming with more clarity and confusion in each book. True statement, you know there is heavy stuff coming down, but not sure exactly how. If you are a fan then you have watched Garrett grow up, as have I into this intense, honorable vampire/demon. Do *not* let that turn you away, these are not vampire demons that you read in your mamas book. Garrett is being pulled in 3 directions, due to his prominency for honor, all the while searching for his mate that he has been dreaming about. Destiny is dyeing and trying to live life in the short time she has left. There is such an unexpected to flip to sweet, innocent human destiny. A whoa moment. We get to welcome so many old friends, the lion shifters, parents, the realm, the seven. There is mystery, steam, and so much more to the story that and I highly recommend you curl up in your favorite chair, with your tea or coffee and indulge. Like me, you will be waiting for the next one. #Garrettsdestiny #darkprotectors #rebeccazanetti #kensingtonbooks #lycricapress # netgalley

Fantastic; that’s pretty much all I can say about this book! It was exactly what I hoped it would be! I feel like I’ve waited forever for Garrett’s story and this book did not disappoint.

Garrett has known for a while what his mate is supposed to be like: she’s going to ride on the back of his bike, be dangerous, and… probably try to kill him. When we’re first introduced to Destiny, or Dessie as she’s called, she is the complete opposite of the prophecy. She’s a soft, timid character with a shroud of mystery surrounding her (seriously, my favorite type of heroine!!). She is not at all what Garrett expects but of course he can’t resist her!

There’s a constant torn allegiance theme throughout the book. Garrett is a member of the Grizzlies, member of the Seven, nephew to the King of the Realm, and a future King of the Realm. All of these factions expect so much of him when it comes to dealing with Ulric and the repercussions of his return. Garrett’s also torn between his feelings for Dessie and the fact that he doesn’t think she’s his mate since she doesn’t represent the prophecy of a dangerous mate.

I loved Dessie! Even with her timidity she’s truly a strong female character. Like I mentioned above, there’s a lot of mystery surrounding her and I loved that we learn about her past at the same time she does. I don’t want to give away too much but I will say that so much happens in this book to really move the plot along quickly. Of course that means my favorite cast of characters are dragged in. We get to see a more grown up triangle of Hope, Pax, and Drake (really hope that book is next!).

This is not a standalone book but I highly recommend this entire series which starts with Garrett’s parent’s book.

Garrett’s Destiny is the latest Dark Protector novel in the series as love brings another member of the seven to his knees. The book should be read as part of the series as past characters and events play significant arts of the story. Garrett dates dangerous women since his one true mate is supposed to try to kill him. His attraction to the innocent looking human, Destiny, throws him off his game. Destiny has weeks to live due to a massive brain tumor and is just trying to live her life to max until her time runs out. An instant attraction and an impossible relationship bring a fearsome immortal warrior and an innocent human head over heals in a dangerous, thrill ride where time is running out. Steamy but sweet, Garrett’s story is everything I hoped it would be. The overall arc of the series continues in the background as the seven and the realm are still trying to stop the big baddy, Ulric. Action packed and heated, the story captivates and leaves you just a little bit in love with the alpha male immortals that fill its pages. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from NetGalley.

I was so excited to read this I didn’t even take the time to do a series reread like usual. Garrett was everything I wanted and more! He’s definitely his fathers son but let’s face it no one can put Talen Talen. I really enjoyed Dessie and Garrett they worked very well together. This series has built and amazing world and I can’t tell you how much I loved the peek of Jordan and Katie! This is a must read for all lovers of the DP series & the 7 series!
I cannot wait to see what happens next.
