I always look forward to returning to the world of the Dark Protectors, and in this, the fifteenth book, everything is coming together. The question is, how will Rebecca Zanetti get us where we need to be.

Garrrett Kayrs has a lot on his plate: heir to the throne, one of the Seven, and his search for his mate who just might try to kill him. Destiny has spent her life secluded, raised at remote all girl schools and only leaving when she is diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. They meet in a bar and the games begin. She recognizes him from a dream, he is drawn to her and can’t understand why, she’s human, seems much too delicate to be his mate, and he is sure she is hiding something.

I enjoyed Garrett and Sam as they rode with the bear shifters, the bears are always so much fun. The back and forth between Garrett and Destiny was awkward for both of them, she felt she was being honest, he was sure she was hiding something. But still, the attraction was there. Soon they were heading back to headquarters and the mystery of Destiny just kept building.

This series has been building to this point, and a lot happens in this book. I loved seeing more of Hope with Paxton and Drake, and so many of the characters from the beginning of the series.

Thank you to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this advanced reader copy of Garrett’s Destiny and this is my honest review.

Garrett and Dessie's story was worth the wait!!!!!!! I don't know of them I liked more. Dessies naivete and kindness or Garrett's alpha male but must protect his mate at all costs. His sweetness with Dessie took my breath away at times!

I received a free copy of Garrett's Destiny from NetGalley for my review. Being a fan of Rebecca Zanetti it wasn't hard at all. I loved this book so much I did not want to go to sleep so I could read. This has been a long awaited book. Garrett has always been a protector, taking care of his mother and sister. He has been in search of his mate whom he knew would try to kill him. He met Destiny and knew for sure she could not be his mate because she was human, sweet and had not tried to kill him. Things changed rapidly and there was so much heat, action, and reappearance of Realm characters I did not want this book to end. The Realm and the Seven continue their efforts to stop Ulric from breaking free from his prison and destroying everything.

I can't wait to see who Hope ends up with but not so secretly hope she will end up with Paxton. Trust me, you will want to read this book.

Great Book. Garrett has been looking for his mate for a long time. Destiny has had an interesting journey when she meets up with Garrett and his motorcycle cruise. She then has a choice - live life in full (hop on the back of Garretts bike a complete stranger) or continue to just live. She ultimately makes the decision to live life in full and hopes on Garretts bike, largely driven by her current circumstance that will eventually lead these two on a suspenseful and journey. The attraction is there but Garrett has had dreams of his mate and Destiny does not meet those requirements - or so he thought. So why does he feel the need to mark her as his mate and why does it not remain once there? Together they go on a wild ride and learn the strength and possibilities of what it will take to be together.

Rebecca Zanetti smashes it out of the park...again! I have been waiting for Garrett's story since he was born, 18 books ago! I have always loved him for the way he has served as protector for his mom and sister, even when he was still a kid. When the next generation (the Seven) started and we started to get to know him as an adult, it was no surprise that he stepped right up to protect his neice, Hope. His banter and relationships with Logan and then Sam throughout the Seven storyline makes me literally laugh out loud. I've been waiting to see who this mystery dream girl would be. Now that we finally meet Destiny, she's nothing like I (or Garrett) expected. And I absolutely love that for him. He always seems to know or have an idea of what is coming or what to do next. Dessi completely throws him for a loop which is exactly what he needs. She's perfect for him in every way! I am even more invested in the storyline now and just like with Janie's story weaving through the original storyline, I am dying to know what happens with Hope, Pax, and Drake! I can't wait to see where Rebecca takes us next!

You can’t beat a good paranormal suspense, add in a bit of romance (with a super alpha vampire-demon), lots of action, and a sassy human who’s a bit of a tough cookie but doesn’t know it, and I was in fictional book heaven or at times hell “wink wink“. An addictive story that I pretty much binge read. I’m a huge fan of this Dark Protectors series, and even though I’ve missed a few, it doesn’t take away from this story. I’ve been sucked into the world of the Seven as they and the Realm battle against the evil Ulric in this world and the dream world. Demons, vampires, shifters and kurjans, the story is full of them. If fantasy with added action, suspense and romance is what you’re looking for, then look no further. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Mates," don’t touch her or you’ll die" vibe, shifters, vampires, immortals, SPICE… If that doesn't get your attention, what's gonna work?

When Destiny meet Garrett, she recognizes him instantly. He saved her life years ago… In a dream.
Garrett feels a force pulling him towards Dessie, but cannot explain how or why. She’s only humain after all… He’s looking for his mate since forever, could that be her?

Garrett’s Destiny by Rebecca Zanetti is the 15th instalment of her Dark Protector series. I received an ARC and I have to confess that I haven't read the previous books, because I never knew they existed…

Shame on me! And I will add the series to my TBR pile for sure. That beings said, I really enjoyed the story of Garrett and Destiny. Obviously, I lacked the background of the universe they're evolving in, but the author led the way. Being a professional reader, I caught up pretty quick with the story but it’s not a standalone.

All the ingredients where there for a paranormal romance. Great story, good spice, I wanted them to be together. At first, I found that Destiny was a bit off, her character seemed naive and bordering simple. But that was all part of the author’s plan. You end up with a strong MFC with a background story that will blow your mind.

The book was fast pace. I find the ending was precipitated. But maybe I just wanted the story to continue. But still, I would've loved more closure. Don’t get me wrong, you get all the answers you need with a great HEA. And there's definitely a 16th book!

Now I’m just hooked to the Dark Protector series.
I recommend for the paranormal aspects, the spice, and the fast read.

Great series, each one has been a fun read and great action. Garrett’s and Dessie’s story was just as great and enjoyable. Dessie is fun and her backstory is riveting . The challenges they face and try to overcome are major and you can’t wait to see how it ends. Excited for the next one in the series.

Sweet like chocolate, hot like molten lava - all power, all danger, and sheer will dialed up to the max! That’s what it felt like to be immersed in Garrett Kayrs’ story, finally, after drooling over twenty instalments of the Dark Protectors and Realm Enforcers series.

Garrett arguably has the most competing responsibilities on his plate: a ritualized inductee of The Seven, having sworn allegiance to the Grizzlies, and being nephew and heir apparent to the King of the Realm. So well written, I never doubted for a second that Garrett’s broad shoulders could handle the strain. His focus these past few years has been to find his mate, a woman seen in a vision as deadly and dangerous, riding behind his motorcycle. He needs to find her before embarking on his secret goal of taking out Ulric, leader of the Kurjan Cyst (and a threat to all enhanced women worldwide) before Hope and his Seven brethren could come to harm.

There’s no such thing as a slow intro with Rebecca Zanetti. The action and intrigue start from the first few paragraphs and never pauses to take a break! When Destiny Applegate walks into the roadside diner where Garrett and the Grizzlies have taken a rest stop, I wanted the adorable, brainy, spunky auburn beauty to be the One. But, she’s human! Over and over again the clues didn’t match up. She has a terminal condition that has her counting up her future in days, not years. Can Garrett save her, or survive losing her? I love how my favourite paranormal author can still surprise me and keep me guessing, so deeply immersed into the Dark Protectors world. Garrett is persistent, commanding, tender, sexy, protective and everything I needed him to be. So satisfying, I’ll have to read it again and again.

Garrett Kayrs is nephew to the king of the Vampire nation and destined to rule one day. He volunteered to become one of the Seven, a group of protectors sworn to guard the realm from the evil Kurjan leader Ulric, in an effort to protect his niece. Hundreds of years ago, the original seven prisoned Ulric within a bubble in another realm. Recently, that prison realm has started to degrade and come apart. The seven know the end of their fight is near. They have been searching for the three keys and the lock in an effort to prepare for the final ritual and battle. Garett's niece is the lock and the main reason he joined the Seven. He hopes to find a way to end Ulric prior to the ritual and save his niece from a tragic ending.

Along the way, each of the seven have found their destined mate; the one who was meant to be with them for the rest of their days. Garrett has dreamt of his mate an in his dreams she is a hardcore assassin out to kill him. When he meets up with the human female named Destiny he finds her to be nothing liked he dreamed. He can't understand why she prompts his mating mark to appear. What is Destiny not telling him? He knows there is more to her than meets the eye but nothing prepares him for the truth.

After fifteen books in a series you would think that Rebecca Zanetti has shared every possible storyline possible but she continues to amaze with her fresh ideas and new characters. I had waited so long for Garrett's story and I was not disappointed. I will admit, when Destiny first appeared in the diner I found her to be naive, innocent, and a little out of touch. I wasn't sure I was going to like her but as her back story started to reveal itself I grew to love her strength and charitable nature. She may not have been the badass female Garrett anticipated but she certainly proved she was tough as nails.

This fifteen book series is actually comprised of two storylines. I know that this particular storyline is coming to its conclusion. I sure hope that I wasn't 'reading' into too much when we were introduced to Hunter and his secret mission. My fingers are crossed that Zanetti is planning a follow up series involving his storyline.

Throughout the years reading Rebecca’s books Garrett has went from a child to a powerful alpha male . Just like every other book I laugh , I cry and I can’t put the book down till I’m finished . One of my top 3 authors , Rebecca never disappoints !

O MY LORD Garrett's Destiny is fantastic. I have been obsess with Garrett since he was a child (not sure why) and his story didn't disappoint. He has a hard shell, a huge hart and the fact that unassuming but kickass Destiny is able to crack the shell makes it that much sweeter. The twist and turn of their of journey made it hard to put the book down. I love how the next generation is doing their part in trying to prevent the inevitable war can't wait to see who story next

I should preface this review by saying that that Rebecca Zanetti is one of my favorite authors, and four stars for her is five for mere mortal writers. But compared to how other books in this series (and her other series) made me feel, I felt it was only right to shave off a star. Why? I really really liked it but didn't love it like I wanted to. It also doesn't help that it's been a while since the previous Realm book, and I've read dozens, probably even hundreds of novels since. As a result, a lot of the small details of the overriding series arch had slipped my mind. All that aside, it was lovely to be back among friends and to finally get Garrett's story.

So Garrett is a powerful vampire-demon who's been moonlighting as an enforcer for a motorcycle gang (who happens to be comprised of bear shifters, and I love me some bear shifters). He's been looking for his mate for a long time but doesn't expect her to be anything like Destiny. Destiny is an apparently plain ol' human with no whiff of any enhancing, so her effect on Garrett is confusing. The longer they are together, the more confusing things get, but above all, Garrett has no intention of letting her go.

Now I'm really not a fan of motorcycle club romance or BDSM romance, and there are shades of both throughout. It never gets to be too much though; their time riding with the Grizzlies isn't long, and while Garrett is bossy and possessive and a little too interested in spanking for my taste, Dessie's strength shines through. I wish we'd seen a little more tenderness between them; there's a fair amount, but I wanted more.

I also felt a little short changed with regard to Dessie's character. There's a lot of mystery surrounding her and I feel like the mystery dragged on unnecessarily, especially since her full story wasn't really all that remarkable, at least when measured against other females in this series.

All this aside, this book was hard to put down, and I'm already anxious for the next book in the series.

I received an ARC of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. I'm writing this review voluntarily and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

This book now has a place on the re-read shelf. It should come with a disclaimer that you’ll be occupied for the next 8 hours. Many of the characters that we have come to know and love throughout the series made an appearance. The story begins with Garrett still on his search for his mate and Destiny is perfect! And the book does not disappoint with the surprises and character building. Zanetti was at the top of her game when she wrote this one. Definitely not one to miss.

At number #15 in the Dark Protector series readers have been waiting awhile and highly anticipating Garrett Kayrs’s story. As a prince of the Realm and future King, member of the Seven, and Enforcer for the Bear Shifter MC, Garrett has long been under a heavy responsibility to his people and their allies. His fate has also been intertwined with his future mate who haunts Garrett’s dreams in a deadly way that effects not only his future, but the Realm’s as well. Once Garrett meets the aptly named Destiny, he is all in to find out who this seemingly human woman is and why Fate put her in his path although he cannot believe that she could possibly be his mate.

Destiny Applegate grew up in a remote boarding school that is not all that it initially seemed to be. While she reads as human to the Realm members, Destiny has some unusual abilities that even she has no clue about and which when triggered, become lethal. Destiny has dreamed of Garrett as well and believes he will save her even though she has short time limit before all is lost. She is a contradiction in terms as Destiny acts and looks like a mostly a clueless ingenue; however, she has some surprising hidden abilities.

Several issues have been coming to the forefront in this series with the rising power of evil Cyst ruler Ulric who remains imprisoned on an alternate world and the Seven whose destiny is to destroy him as well as the person everyone’s fate all seems to pivot upon, Hope, who is about to turn twenty-one. While Destiny had been twisted into a pawn to use against Garrett and the Realm; she becomes the catalyst for several important happenings in the ultimate war against the wicked Kurjans and their mystical leaders the Cyst. Garrett and the Seven finally agree to come clean with the Realm rulers and work together for their common goal of eliminating the enemy, the three keys are found as well as other cataclysmic changes that come to fruition in this story.

Garrett's Destiny (Dark Protectors, #15) by Rebecca Zanetti
Edge of my seat suspense, mystery and romance. Demon Garrett Kayrs and Destiny Applegate - strong H/h wonderful love story. Plenty of angst, suspense, danger, mystery, evil, some laughs and tears, wonderful family and friends, loved catching up with everyone and lots of steam to get us to their HEA. Can't wait for more.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Happily Ever After Haunting Entertaining Tragic Easy-to-read Great world building Unpredictable Page-turner Tear-jerker Romantic Action-packed Wonderful characters Scary Steamy Witty. O enjoyed reading and reviewing this book.

Garrett's story was worth the wait and the pieces are in place for Ulric's comeuppance. This is part of a larger series and can't really be read as a standalone. The world building is complex and the characters have intricate histories with each other that adds to the texture of this story. Destiny was unexpected for Garrett and didn't fit what he thought he was looking for but sometimes the best is what isn't expected.

I can't wait to see where this ends. And as with all the books in the series we see hints of the upcoming conflicts to whet our appetites.

5 stars!

The latest book in the Dark Protectors series is an exciting, intriguing, and emotional ride. With wonderful characters, a sizzling romance and lots of twists and turns, it’s everything that I love so much about this series, and I loved every moment of it!

As the son of the first couple in this series, Talen and Cara (from Fated), Garrett holds a special place in my (and probably most reader’s) heart. A fierce vampire/demon hybrid warrior, Grizzly MC Enforcer, member of the Seven and next in line to be King of the Realm, he is pure badass but with a beautifully soft heart. He is impatient to meet the mate he had been dreaming of, and when it comes to her, he thinks he knows exactly what to expect. He has no idea.

Destiny is a woman shrouded in in mystery. She’s young, smart and excited to experience everything she can out of life, but her past is complicated, and her future even more so. But from the moment she first lays eyes on Garrett, she recognises him as the man who once saved her life. There’s an attraction between them from the very beginning, and when Garrett realises that Destiny may be in trouble, of course he wants to help. Dessie is determined to live her life to the fullest, so she accepts his offer to climb on the back of his bike, and their twisted and exciting journey begins.

“Are you trying to frighten me?”
“Baby, if I wanted you scared, you’d be terrified.”

I don’t want to give anything away about this book, because you just need to dive in and experience it. Not only is Dessie’s story fascinating, but we’ve also got lots of different storylines from the series converging, and I had so many questions and theories, and the story twists and turns as Garrett and Destiny go searching for answers. And every clue they find just takes the mystery deeper.

And along the way, they are falling hard for each other. The chemistry sizzles and Garrett and Dessie are SO freaking hot together! But more than that, their emotional connection develops beautifully, and I loved watching their relationship develop – especially in the face of all that they are dealing with.

“Destiny … While we’re together, you are mine. In every sense of the word.”

Garrett may be a strong alpha warrior, but when it comes to his girl, he is the perfect blend of sweet, fierce and devastatingly sexy, and I absolutely adore him. And Dessie is a fantastic match for him! Often in these books, I find myself so in love with the hero that the heroine gets a bit overshadowed, but not in this book. Dessie is sweet and funny, and though she’s understandably scared, she’s so strong and brave. She boldly enters a whole new world and handles herself sensibly and intelligently, and I just loved her! They’re so gorgeous together, and I loved them as a couple. But with both of their lives in very real danger, they have a battle on their hands to get their happy ending.

The second story arc of this series has focussed on the mysterious Seven, and while they eventually do come into the story, this book is more closely aligned with the original books in the series – back with Garrett’s family within the Realm, and their shifter friends and allies, which was such a treat! I loved being back with characters that I love so much, I love seeing the relationship that Garrett has with his family and his friends, and I love how they embraced Dessie and accepted her into the fold. This is such a great group, and I revelled in every moment spent with them.

Meanwhile, Garrett’s niece, Hope, is continuing her dream walking with the enemy, and the Seven are still seeking for ways to destroy Ulric, the ultimate bad guy. The different aspects of the story are all intermingled brilliantly, and there is some pretty huge story progression, and I was glued to my kindle, desperate to see how it was all going to turn out.

It’s exciting, intense and dramatic with lots of action, fabulous characters and a beautiful love story. I was captivated from start to finish and read this book in a day, unable to put it down, and finished it feeling completely satisfied yet desperate for more from the series.

Such a fantastic read – 5 stars!

Holy. Cow. I loved this book - and Garrett. This book totally moved the storyline further without sacrificing anything. The slow(er) build was fantastic, and the back story was wonderful as well as very surprising.

Dessie was demure and shy but there were no TSTL moments - in fact she kicked ass more than once. It's always a good sign when you're rooting for the h instead of wishing she'd get hers. LOL.

I don't know how Ms. Zanetti can possibly keep these stories fresh, but they most certainly are. The only problem with an ARC is that the wait for the next one is even longer!

Loved this book it didn't disappoint at all was everything I had hope for it kept me glued. Way to go Rebecca.
