A handful of pages in which Vanja’s story takes an unexpected turn when she accidentally starts a cult to a sleeping god and just like that I will be counting down the days until Painted Devils is released!

Recently I finished Little Thieves and I was craving more and when I found out there was a chapter sampler I was simply estatic. I'm so excited that we get more of Vanja and Emeric I loved them so much. The fact Vanja accidently started a cult is not shocking to me and honestly pretty hilarious, this seems like something Vanja would do accidently. Hopefully we see more Death / Fortune in this book or they have some little appearences.

Owen's command of Vanja's voice is absolutely incredible and I cannot WAIT to be reunited with my favorite scammer.

I absolutely loved Little Thieves and completely fell in love with the cast of characters and I have been looking forward to the sequel. And this sample of Painted Devils completely blew me away. Vanja is such a compelling and complex protagonist and continues to be such an interesting character to read about. When the whole of this book is released, I already know that it will easily be one of my favorites.

Only Vanja would find. way to accidentally start a cult... oh my! I quite enjoyed Little Thieves and am definitely intrigued by this follow-up. I just adore Vanja and Emetic. This little sneak peek was fun and cheeky. I'm excited for this book to come out.

The writing was fantastic, it set the mood and the prose was really strong, The chapter ended way too soon, I can't wait for the book to come out in May!

What a fantastic sampler this was, and it left me intrigued wanting more. I already feel questions being answered and new ones arising... and I'm very much eager to know what lies in store for our characters.

I am unbelievably excited for this book! The same wry humour, immediately likeable characters, enticing and thrilling magic as the last book. A great hook! Really makes you want to read more. I have never attempted to review the first two chapters of a book before, so I don't know what to say. Great work, can't wait!

My only complaint is that this sample is not long enough and I’m so excited to read more! I can’t wait to catch up with Emeric and Vanja !

I absolutely adored 'Little Thieves', but I have to admit I was surprised to hear about a sequel in the works... after reading the chapter sampler 👀 I take it all back!

I can not wait to dive back into this world and see if Vanja can fix the mess she's gotten herself into once again!
