Thank you NetGalley and Harper 360 for the copy of In The Dark We Forget. I thought Cleo was a wonderful, strong character. I liked how she learned about herself and how she was perceived and grew from it. Her relationship with her family was realistic and emotional.
I loved the story, how Cleo went from remembering nothing about her life and slowly started finding clues about what had happened and at the same time came to realizations about her family. The book did a good job of addressing family and racial inequities that do not just exist in Canada! The most important thing for me when reading a book is the quality of the writing, and this book delivered! Even if I hadn’t loved the story or characters, the writing was so hypnotic I would have finished this book anyway. This book is not to be missed!

🎉Happy Pub Day!!🎉

📖My thoughts📖
Wow! What a twisted tale! The fact that the main character wakes up first thing at the start of the book suffering from amnesia makes the storyline that much more clenching! It only adds to the mystery of it all. I love that this book had me guessing right up until the very end, holding my attention the entire time. This is a must read! I tore through this one feeling as though I couldn’t read fast enough! If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers, go snap yourself a copy of this gem! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

❤️Thank you Netgalley, Harper360, Sandra Sg Wong, and Sophia Wilhelm for the opportunity to read and review this spectacular book! ❤️

Okay for me but not great A very involved story of an injured, young woman's sudden appearance on the road with no memory of who she is or how she got there or what happened to her. As her fragmented memory begins to reappear, she finds both her parents are missing, her siblings and herself are suspects and her mother had just won the lottery for millions but had not turned in the winning ticket yet. It gets a little heavy on back and forth dialogue between her and both her siblings and the Inspector investigating her accident and her parents mysterious and very suspect disappearance. Too easily side tracked on possible family complications for me and not enough just good mystery.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to receive an arc in exchange for my honest review- all thoughts and opinions are my own.

“In the dark we forget” - out in a day!
This was an interesting one- I felt frustrated not knowing anything along with the MC. This is an easy thriller, and I can’t wait to see what others start thinking when it’s out!

Enthralling 5 ⭐
When a woman wakes up with amnesia beside a mountain highway, confused and alone, she fights to regain her identity, only to learn that her parents have disappeared—not long after her mother bought a winning $47 million lottery ticket. As her memories painfully resurface and the police uncover details of her parents’ mysterious disappearance, Cleo Li finds herself under increasing suspicion. Even with the unwavering support of her brother, she can’t quite reconcile her fears with reality or keep the harrowing nightmares at bay. As Cleo delves deeper for the truth, she cannot escape the nagging sense that maybe the
person she should be afraid of...is herself.
If you love Amnesia stories then this one is for you. Its a quick read. I felt connected with every character. Loved it.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harper360 for giving me an advance copy.

This is a really good mystery/thriller. The story was enthralling and it kept me guessing to the very end.
Better than average for the genre.

A woman awakens on the side of the road in Canada and does not know where she is....or who she is. She quickly makes her way to the hospital and it is determined she has been assaulted. By chance, she has an Asian officer assigned to her which helps put her at ease and also is a foil for addressing the microaggressions that Asians experience in Canada.

The woman is slow to remember who she is and what happened to her. Slowly but surely clues come to light and it is clear that something terrible has happened and she needs to figure out who she is and who can help her. There is a lot more to this story that is gripping and interesting, but I can't give away the mystery! If you like amnesia stories, mysteries and complicated families, then this story is for you!
