Just the right amount of cheesy epilogue?

Super quick and easy to read writing style. I loved that the FMC had just enough quirkiness without being a cheesy YA “not like other girls” character. I’ll definitely be picking up the rest of the series!

The premise of Catching Quinn immediately drew me in. I absolutely love sports romances and knew that i would love this one!

Quinn is determined to lose her virginity despite all the odds that seem to be preventing her from making it happen. Cooper knows that he shouldn't get involved with Quinn but he keeps interfering with her plan.

Quinn and Coopers chemistry was amazing, i really enjoyed reading how their feelings grew for each other.

Overall, I would highly recommend Catching Quinn for those that are looking for a new sports romance to dive into.

If you enjoyed the Off Campus Series by Elle Kennedy I think you will thoroughly enjoy Catching Quinn!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I did not know this was the second book of a series but it can definitely be read as a standalone, you will not be missing any information.

I love college sports romances and this was no different. This book was absolutely adorable. It follows Quinn, loud bold ginger, who says what is on her mind. she calls herself a mess so much of a mess she cannot get laid. She has a mission to lose her virginity, however, the sexy Cooper star wide receiver constantly intervenes in her plans. He claims because it’s his brother’s sister but his protectiveness goes far beyond that. There are also themes of growth and learning to accept oneself and separating from what your family wants/expects from you. Also, the spice is so well written and is so worth the wait. The tension *chef’s kiss*.

I love how boldly she talks, I hate the quite innocent virgin character and she is so far from that. She has a dirty mouth and mind and is ready for action. Also the lucky unicorn he carries around is the cutest thing ever.

I didn’t know this was a second in a series - typical of me. In saying that I wasn’t sure what to expect of this college romance. Rest assured this one’s a winner.

I’m not usually a fan of the virgin rope but this one is pretty awesome as Quinn takes control in wanting to move forward with her life without her sexual inexperience impacting her. She’s smart, funny, has great friends … (even through she refers to herself as a hot mess express she’s just been unlucky in the love department). She’s looking for someone to (err) help her out in that department.

Enter Cooper - cocky, arrogant, and the school jock deemed most likely. Coupled with the fact he’s a friend of her brother Noah, you know things are going to get messy. The pair have unknowingly started texting and Cooper puts the pieces together more quickly and offers to help a girl out. Before long 🔥 🔥 …

For a college sports romance this one’s pretty darn good. There’s a degree of macho masculine bullsh#* but it suits the scenario and gets unpacked for what it is. The book is a tad long but I’m thinking this made fleshing out Cooper particularly worth it. Some of his peers are contrary to the stereotypical jock image so can’t wait to see their books in the future. And I loved that Quinn was able to use her own voice, say what she wanted and clearly articulate her thoughts and feelings.

4 1/2 stars

Catching Quinn could have easily been just another virgin romance read, but it wasn't. The author managed to make Quinn and Cooper's situations deeper and more meaningful than you initially expect them to be. Over the course of the book, I was pulled into the middle of their messy and crazy "non-relationship." It's a slow building romance and was definitely worth the wait.

The author managed to weave some well-done subplots into the storyline that enriched it and kept me engrossed until the last page. It was a very well-done sports romance and checked most of my boxes for that genre. In addition, even though it had plenty of steamy moments, Catching Quinn didn't scrimp on the sweet and caring moments.

I look forward to reading more by this author. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Quinn is your generic college girl who hasn't found the guy yet to lose her v-card to, until she gets entangled with Cooper.
Cooper is your typical macho man on campus, the one that all girls wants, has had his fair share of sexual encounters, is in a frat, you know the whole nine yards.
If you're into college romances, alternating point of views between girl and guy, cat and mouse games, sporty romance then this book is for you! It was a little bit of a slow burn for me until the "scenes" but overall I loved it! It was a fun read and v spicy! ;) I thought that there was a healthy mix of plot and spiciness :)
thank you NetGalley!

This was my first book by this author and it has definitely made me want to read more! The book follows Quinn, a bit of an unlucky hot mess who has made the decision to try to lose her virginity, and Noah, star football player who belongs to the same fraternity as Quinn’s brother. Noah is a stereotypical player and ladies man who acts unexpectedly when he blocks Quinn’s chances at losing her virginity, not wanting her to make a decision she will later regret. Quinn’s quest to lose her virginity is none of Noah’s business and just the type of distraction he doesn’t need as the NFL draft pick draws closer so why does he keep getting involved. Quinn immediately finds Noah and his attempts to stop her incredibly infuriating but also finds undeniably attractive. What begins is a fun filled story full of passion, attraction and chemistry.

Their relationship was full of sweet and steamy moments and you could fully see and understand the progression of their relationship, making their relationship with and connection to each other make more sense. Noah is definitely one of my new favourite book boyfriends who despite his player persona, is unexpectedly sweet and caring, especially once the reader is given a deeper insight into his family and personal life struggles. This book is a perfect guilty pleasure spicy but sweet read!

This was such a great romance read! The author did an absolutely amazing job building up the chemistry between the main characters. I was rooting for them from the beginning to the very end! After finishing this book, I can definitely say that Jennifer Bonds is an author to look out for. Especially if you're a fan of sports romances!

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Contents were quite pleasing. Would highly recommend it. It had good content and made for an interesting read overall.

They say no good deed goes unpunished and Cooper DeLaurentis' life is living proof. He saved his friend's little sister from making a HUGE mistake at a frat party, but Quinn isn't at all appreciative. In fact, she's downright mad. When Cooper keeps popping up in all the wrong places at the worst possible time, Quinn has had enough of his white knight complex and decides to give him a taste of his own medicine. He calls her bluff and they both get a little more than they bargained for but an unlikely friendship develops.

I loved these characters in every way. Quinn's fiery determination and Cooper's dedication to saving her from herself put them at odds in hilarious ways. Watching the aloof, unattached player fall is always fun and Cooper was sweeter than most. This is my first book by the author, but certainly won't be my last.

Wow. When I tell you I ate this book up in one day, I mean it.
This is the first book I've read from Jennifer, but definitely not my last. Even though it's a part of a series, it can 100% be read as a stand-alone.
I loved every page. It was funny, and then it was hilarious. It was cute, and then it was spicy 🌶🌶(blessed be athletes and their stamina).
Quinn is an amazing character on her own, and with the addition of Cooper and how he makes her feel like a goddess every single moment they're together is just extra points! The chemistry is undeniable.
Even though it's a college romance, it doesn't feel like you're dealing with a bunch of half-adult teenagers. The storyline is great, has a bit of a twist of course, but all good stories do. Nothing dramatic that would make you DNF.
10/10 would definitely recommend 😊

I received an eARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

As crazy as it sounds I love the fact that there are so many different potential avenues for this relationship to become exposed or to go wrong and the anxiety that I get from knowing that as the reader makes it that much more gratifying when it goes smoothly. The writing was great, the chemistry was great, I love the slow burn at the beginning. I thought it was interesting that it’s not only a secret romance but it also kind of plays with my brother’s best friend and hidden identities tropes. I honestly don’t usually like sports romance novels and I loved this novel. It had a lot of depth the characters were fully fleshed out and well written and the spice was immaculate. I can definitely see myself rereading this book in the future. I also am excited that it is a series and I will probably read more books from this series.

Quinn has decided that she has waited long enough and is determined to have her first time however just when she thinks it is within her grasp her plan is thwarted by none other than Cooper, a member of her brother’s fraternity.

Cooper is a star both when it comes to women and football. He isn’t about to let Quinn make a choice that she may regret later but nothing could have prepared him for her reaction when he takes the decision out of her hands and that’s when the fun really begins.

Humorous, heartwarming and hot as Cooper appears to be the confident athlete without a care in the world but with everything we learn about him it only makes us and Quinn love him more as she shows him that he is so much more than his past.

✅️ Football player- on and off the field 😉🏈

Quinn Mowrey is your V-card holding, trying to get rid of it ASAP, Star Wars loving, college student. She runs into Cooper-the-cockblocking-jockhole-DeLaurentis at her brother Noah's frat party.
She doesn't have the best luck 🍀 with trying to successfully sleep with anyone and is known for things going wrong when she is around. 🙈

I loved the way we saw their relationship grow stronger. It gave you the feels! ❤️

This book was spicy 🌶🌶🌶
So, if you don't enjoy a good 'O' 😮 (or many) then you should move along to the next book. If you do- open it up!

This is a new to me author and I will definitely be reading more! 🥰

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this eARC!

I loved this book. I feel head over heels for the Brother's Friend/ Protector role that Coop played. I found the plot of the story to be perfect and there were so many funny moments that the chemistry between the characters was perfect, I of course wasn't a fan of the conflict at the end, but it's expected in these types of stories and the epilogue was the perfect ending to the story.

I’m a sucker for sports romance. This book was no exception. It was perfection. I honestly didn’t expect to love this as much as I did. It was centered around football but wasn’t too sports heavy; it had a great storyline too. You instantly felt the chemistry between Cooper and Quinn. It was quite a bit spicier than I expected but it made me love the book even more.

I loved this book so much I immediately purchased the other books in the series. This is book 2 but could be read as a standalone.

I was given an Advanced Reader Copy by NetGalley for an honest review.

Wow. Just wow.
To preface, I don’t read college romances. I don’t read books with the typical sports tropes.
But… THIS. This was so well-written. I am so happy that I was able to read this book and find this author. The character development, the banter, the complexity of all of the relationships was all done absolutely beautifully. I was enraptured the entire time that I was reading. Exquisite.

I’m so happy I gave a chance to a new-to-me author! I loved this book. The characters, the story, the writing style… I’m sold.

It didn’t bother me at all–in fact, it may be one of the reasons I enjoyed this book that much–but it was kind of two stories in one book. The first part is funny and fast paced, while the second one is a bit angsty. But it follows the evolution in Quinn and Coop’s relationship, so it works well. It keeps the reader interested for sure.

The first part is about Quinn trying to lose her virginity. Her schemes–and the way they failed–were ridiculous and fun. Enters Cooper, star athlete and friend to her brother, who decides he must protect her from her bad decisions. The banter was great, with lots of attraction hidden behind harsh words and sass.

Of course, their desire for each other leads them to decide that Cooper is the best equipped to rid Quinn of her v-card. And they become an item. From a one time thing to maybe more, their relationship slowly evolves, and that’s when everything falls apart. At this point, the story is on its final stretch, the moment I love the most. Sometimes it’s overwhelming, or there’s barely any threat to the relationship. Here, it was perfectly done–even though the book’s mood take a 180.

I won’t say much about the second part of the story, because I don’t want to spoil anything, but yes, it’s a bit angsty. Some heavy topics are broached, and the characters’ struggles felt real. But don’t worry, there’s a beautiful happily ever after.

I love a good college sports romance, and this one had everything. Some action on the field. Team’s dynamics. Party time. Even some school work–it doesn’t happen that often. By diving into this book, you become friends with Quinn and Coop, and part of the Waverly college experience.

I guarantee I’ll follow this author.

Quinn Mowery is an aspiring writer and sophomore at Waverly University. Cooper DeLaurentis is a star receiver at the same university and member of a fraternity of which Quinn’s brother is also a member. Quinn is determined to lose her virginity at a frat party but is interrupted by Cooper when he realizes she is Noah’s sister. Quinn continues her quest to have penetrative sex but is interrupted by Cooper every time. The two fight their growing attraction to one another until Cooper finally realizes he is the perfect man to show Quinn the art of seduction.

That summary is cheesy as hell and sounds cringey, but this was a delightful guilty pleasure read. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a good ol’ YA, college romance, and this certainly fit the bill. It definitely made me think of “The Deal” by Elle Kennedy. Jennifer Bonds has a very similar writing style, and the character of Cooper is essentially the football-playing version of Garret. I loved the “enemies to lovers” aspect and Cooper’s feminism and respect for explicit consent. Quinn seems a little spacey and doesn’t consider the consequences of some of her decisions, but she was hardworking and very determined. She did have a little “not like other girls” going on, but it wasn’t excessive. This was cheesy in the best way possible. I’m not usually a fan of college sports/frat stars, but for some reason this book really worked for me. I’ll definitely check out the others in the series.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

There was never a moment while reading this book that I considered not finishing it. The female character was well written, and I loved that she was quirky. The interactions and the way the romance played out was fun and new, with a satisfying ending. Would definitely recommend if you love sports romance! (DRC courtesy of Jennifer Bonds & NetGalley)
