There was never a moment while reading this book that I considered not finishing it. The female character was well written, and I loved that she was quirky. This story had substance, and quite a bit of spice, but it wasn't quite the feel-good story I was hoping for. Cooper has a lot of involvement with other women, described in detail, and that makes it hard for me to connect to him as someone I'm cheering on to fall in love. Also, while it is addressed and called out in the story, the way women are described, with some of them as practically disposable party favors and others "off limits" due to their connection to certain men, is uncomfortable.

This is not to say this is not well written and plenty steamy! It may just be a better fit for someone who is less of a romantic and is more pragmatic about love and comfortable with casual or physical relationships.
